In case you missed it, we've recently wrapped up the Licensing Expo in Nevada, where our first official images of Power Rangers Super Megaforce were shown. We got the press-release (which didn't detail hardly anything we didn't already know) but as for information regarding merchandise and toys ... we only know that we're getting them. There's hope that we'll see some of the first stuff around San Diego Comic Con next month, and TokuNation.com will be there to give you all your first look at whatever Bandai of America brings!
TokuNation.com member and RangerCrew.com founder Fury Diamond was in attendance at this year's Licensing Expo and took a ton of images as well as video - did you know that the Power Rangers Super Megaforce actually showed up at the expo? The suits, not the actors.
Last week was the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or more commonly known as E3, and there was some Power Rangers Megaforce goodness to be found if you headed towards the Nintendo area of the floor!
TokuNation.com member and RangerCrew.com founder Fury Diamond was in attendance and got a chance to play the game first-hand. The game is a side-scrolling adventure similar to the Power Rangers Samurai game that was released last year. Please do yourself a favor and check out the write-up that Fury Diamond spent so much time writing for more information.

With the Licensing International Expo just about to get under way, Saban Brands have officially unveiled the 2014 Power Rangers series, entitled Power Rangers Super Megaforce, via a press release and an official teaser poster. Power Rangers Super Megaforce will follow on as the second half of Power Rangers Megaforce, with footage adapted from the 35th Super Sentai series Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
The press release is as follows:
Quote:
Saban Brands announced today that it will launch Saban’s Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the newest season of Power Rangers, in 2014 on Nickelodeon. Power Rangers, one of the top rated and longest running boys live-action series in television history, offers SUPER MEGA action, excitement, humor and entertainment, while maintaining core themes of friendship, teamwork, fitness and helping others.
“As Saban Brands and Power Rangers celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the iconic franchise this year, it is more apparent than ever that the show has a strong connection to fans of all ages and backgrounds,” said Elie Dekel, President of Saban Brands. “We are happy to continue our partnership with Nickelodeon and we look forward to entertaining our fans with more action-packed, SUPER MEGA adventures in 2014 with Power Rangers Super Megaforce.”
The upcoming season of Power Rangers Super Megaforce focuses on the Rangers’ mission to defeat a massive alien army Armada that was sent to conquer Earth. To face this threat, Gosei, a supernatural guardian who has protected Earth for centuries, gives the Rangers special morphers and keys, which allow them to morph into Super Megaforce Rangers. The Rangers also have an added special ability to morph into any team of Power Rangers from the past. These super-sized adventures can only mean one thing: the all-new Power Rangers Super Megaforce has arrived!
Thanks to our friends over at Rangercrew (who are attending the Licensing Expo), we also have a hi-res version of the first promotional poster for the show. Interestingly there are two versions of this poster - one featuring only the core five rangers and another including the silver ranger.
For the month of June, Tokunation.com is recognizing all things Power Rangers Lighspeed Rescue starting with a gallery of what makes these Rangers possible, the Rescue Morpher!

Tsuburaya was one of several companies showing off new materials at the Tokyo Toy Show this past week, and their extended showcasing of the new Ultra property Ultraman Ginga is now online!

This is our first look at the series & related merchandise.

Just recently, it was announced that Shotaro Ishinomori’s manga turned anime 009-1 will be getting the live action treatment.
The original manga tells the story of Mylene Hofuman, a female cyborg that also works as a secret agent. Mylene will be portrayed by actress Mayuki Iwasa.
The film is directed by Koichi Sakamoto. But he’s not the only familiar toku alumni that’s involved with this project. Numerous familiar faces will be making appearing in this film:
Minehiro Kinomoto (Kamen Rider Accel),
Mao Ichimichi (Gokai Yellow),
Nao Nagasawa (Hurricane Blue),
Shizuka Midorikawa (Noshiko from Kamen Rider W Returns: Eternal), Naoto Takenaka (Horror from Garo: Makai Senki)
Aya Sugimoto (Maria S. Cranberry),
Kazutoshi Yokoyama (Leo Zodiarts),
Tsukui Minami (Hopper Dopant)
and Hirotaro Honda (Space Raider)
The film is set to premiere August 7th in Japan and the first trailer for this film has found it’s way onto Youtube.
Note that the movie has been rated R15, as such it may contain things that's inappropriate for some viewers. Watch at you're own risk!
While the retail release for Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Vs. Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters isn't for sale yet, the rental version is out now! And with it we get our first looks at the transformation sequences for the Animal Go-Busters; Red Cheetah, Blue Gorilla, Yellow Rabbit, Gold Beetle, Silver Stag, Green Hippopotamus, Black Puma, and Pink Cat!
It's worth noting that that Green Hippopotamus' actor is actually also the voice actor for buddyroid Usada Lettuce! In this alternate world where Messiah was never built the Go-Busters took very different paths in life, becoming a more "traditional" set of sentai characters. Commander Kuroki is Black Puma, and Hiromu's sister Rika is Pink Cat. 2 worlds collide on June 21st!
One of the pains of toy collecting is when the toy company releases multiple case packs with harder to find figures more prevalent in a second or third revision that never seems to make it to the big brick and mortor chain stores. This is the case when it comes to the Power Rangers Megaforce figures Loogie and Vrak. Online toy stores received these figures, but your stores like Wal-Mart, Target, etc., maybe got one case and never again.
But because the world works in strange ways, TokuNation.com member raz dropped by to let us know that he found both Loogie and Vrak at a local CVS Drugstore.
If you're missing those figures ... then let the hunt begin!
Special thanks to raz from our TokuNation.com forums!
Unveiled at the Tokyo Toy Show, it looks like a Complete Selection Fang Memory is now in the works!
No additional info exists at the time, but we can certainly expect this piece to be a Premium Bandai exclusive much like the previous Kamen Rider W Complete Selection entries.
We reported just a few days ago that South Korea would be getting Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters as Power Rangers Go-Bursters. Now thanks to TokuNation.com member shikishima we have some more details to share along with the fact that Kamen Rider Fourze will also be airing alongside Power Rangers Go-Bursters in South Korea!
Daewon Media, a South Korean company that specializes in cultural content, is responsible for bringing over Power Rangers Go-Bursters and Kamen Rider Fourze to that country. Along with the shows will be imported toys, action figures, and accessories for both shows to the South Korean market.
If you missed your chance at getting some of the swag from these series when they were airing in Japan, this is now your chance!
A big special thanks to TokuNation.com member shikishama for this news!
We're in the home stretch folks. Let's Watch Wednesdays is winding down to the end with Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger! Last week we learned the turth about Jan's father and his ultimate fate at Jan's hands. We also learned that the terrible Long has been using Rio, but to what ends?
This week we hit the final four episodes of the series. Long's terrible history has been revealed to all. The immortal monster who has manipulated events since before the series began has reared it's true form. Rio, shaken to the core, struggles to find purpose in his life. If an enemy is truly immortal how can he be defeated? 2 schools must unite as one. Even heroes die.
These may be the final episodes of Gekiranger but not to worry, we have one more week on this LWW. Next week will feature Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger Vs. Engine Sentai Go-Onger The Movie! So be sure to stay tuned, and in 2 weeks we'll be featuring our next Let's Watch segment! Be sure to get in on the discussion for this week and next as those will be your last chances to be automatically entered in our DVD Giveaway!Details here.
This photo just appeared on Bluefin’s Facebook page.
With no other info given, they could be anything. But the color layout on the suits seems to indicate a possible western release of the S.H.Figuarts Shinkenger releases, which aside from Shinken Red and Shinken Gold have previously been Tamashi Web Exclusives.
What’s you’re take on Bluefin’s mystery Figuarts? Discuss on the thread!
After some heavy speculation, former Black Ranger Johnny Young Bosch (better known as Adam in the latter section of Mighty Morphin, Zeo, Turbo and from cameo appearances through In Space and Operation Overdrive) will not appear in the upcoming new season.
Keep getting asked this but to set the record straight...no I wasn't officially asked to return for Megaforce. Most of us were interested in the thought of returning but it's probably best we didn't all get invited...
With San Diego Comic Con right around the corner, and Bluefin Tamashii teasing the Power Rangers fan community with a slew of "hints" regarding the "Power Ranger/Sentai themed" exclusive for this year's convention, they took to Twitter last night to answer a host of other questions, and in the process, revealed quite a bit of information that may have been lost in that of social media. Luckily, TokuNation.com has you covered.
Here are some snippets below.
@yourfriendlyandy: WANT (and the 3 others yet to come)!!! Damn you @TamashiiNations for ruining my bank account! #MMPR (image was of the 4 MMPR SH Figuarts) TamashiiNations: @yourfriendandy 3 more eh? Our count says more than 3 for #mmpr #powerrangers @ZeltraxMilleniu: Heck Yeah. I do have a question for the MMPR figuarts:
Will the power weapons be able to combine? TamashiiNations: Currently not authorized to answer
The above conversation was meant to say that we have yet to see official photos of the upcoming Yellow Ranger, Blue Ranger, and Black Ranger from Power Rangers and Zyuranger. We'll say it's a safe bet (see below) that we'll get a Red Ranger with Dragon Armor to round that upcoming number to 4, but is there a chance we could see a villain like Goldar released as a web exclusive in Japan? Time will tell... Fans have also been curious if the weapons will combine like they did in the show. Speculation is either 1) They do, or 2) They don't but an accessory will be sold later
@PwnStar511: Will the Yellow Ranger have a male or female body type? @TamashiiNations: It's a topic of discussion
A lot of fans have speculated (and debated) whether the SH Figuarts Zyuranger Tigerranger/Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger should have a female body or a male body. In Zyuranger, the Yellow Ranger was male. In Power Rangers, the Yellow Ranger was female. However there was no change made to the costume (no skirt), so the fans continue their debate ... a male body would be accurate to the costume, but for Power Rangers fans, it would be inaccurate to who played the character.
@ptoadstool: Is there any hope for the Gokaiger Figuarts coming over for Super Megaforce? (including the girls?) @TamashiiNations: The answer to this will depend on something yet to be....
In other words, probably yes - we'll end up seeing Gokaiger SH Figuarts hitting US shores in some way, shape, or form in the next year. This is not a confirmation, but an open-ended speculation.
@LinearRanger: Any chance of seeing the other Shinkenger, Dekaranger or Gosei Knight SH Figuarts in US releases? @TamashiiNations: Yes!
Many have speculated that Gosei Knight would be released as an SDCC exclusive Robo Knight, kind of like how Female ShinkenRed was released as a NYCC exclusive last year. For those who missed out on Shinkenger and Dekaranger releases, this must be good news.
@TamashiiNations: Does the PR exclusive have some sort of armor or shield?" No...but THAT one is for something else #sdcc
Many people speculated we'd see a Red Ranger with Dragon Armor released at some point. This pretty much confirms it without officially confirming it.
Bluefin Tamashii also tweeted about a "pack" of exclusives. Something that comes in a "pack" and that foreshadows a future release of Power Rangers. Let the speculation run rampant!
Tamashi Nation’s Akihabara Show Room has once again been updated with new Web Exclusive product which can now be seen on display.
This time, the recently announced S.H.Figuarts Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger is now seen on display, holding her signature Power Arrow weapon and standing behind Mighty Morphin Red and Green, both of whom are due out very, very soon.
Currently slated for a US release of October/November,Mighty Morphin Pink will retail for about 39.99 USD.
The next Kamen Rider Girls single has been announced, and to coincide with Toei’s on going Shocker Recruitment Event the Kamen Rider Girls will be hanging up their Rider-inspired outfits and instead will be donning Shocker Foot solider themed outfits!
Kamen Rider Girls SSS ~Shock Shocker Shockest~ will be released in July. A CD+DVD combo set and a stand alone CD version will be made available. The single will cost 1260 yen while the CD+DVD Combo Set will retail for 1890 yen.
A short preview of the song has found it’s way onto Youtube. You can see the preview in the link below:
Thanks to poster ZeroKing2010 of Rangercrew, we have our first look at the logo and name for the forthcoming South Korean dub of the 36th Super Sentai series Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters!
As with previous shows, Go-Busters will air with the Power Rangers name. Oddly rather than continue the "... Force" trend we've seen with previous Korean dubs, the series shall be titled Power Rangers: Go Bursters.
This coming Halloween, your kids need Dino Zord power, now!
Birthdayinabox.com has a new item up for sale and it's none other than a Power Rangers Super Legends Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Megazord kids costume.
While the price-tag is a little bit higher than most will spend ($130...ouch!) it's still cool to see none-the-less. And who knows, it could be an easier way to Megazord your child without the time and expenditures of making it yourself.
With SDCC right around the corner, many companies have already begun revealing their exclusives for this year’s show.
And Bluefin is no different, on Twitter they’ve hinted that we’ll be seeing at least two Power Rangers/Sentai related exclusives for this year’s Comic Con. Here is Bluefin’s exact Twitter post:
Quote:
2 from Tamashii Nations are #powerrangers #sentai related #sdcc
There’s already speculation that we could see an S.H.Figuarts Mighty Morphin Red Ranger with Green Ranger’s Dragon Shield, or a previously unreleased Tamashi Web exclusive.
What are you’re predictions for this year’s exclusives? Discuss in the thread!
Are you collecting the Power Rangers Action Card Game? If so then you've probably gotten a handful of cards and are still searching for those few cards you still need.
But if you haven't started and you're wanting to just complete the previous sets now before the next set releases, our good friend Fury Diamond from RangerCrew.com has you covered.
Special thanks again to Fury Diamond for dropping by and offering his extra cards for reasonable prices to those looking to collect them! He also has a special pre-order incentive for those who want to get the next set.
