Yeah it's a cool word.
Interesting story, given how religious people are in here I suppose they treated you and your team very well.
I aslo love Bogota's climate, it's sunny yet fresh and it rains often, I go often there since my father lives there. Bucaramanga however is quite warm, probably as hot as Girardot or even more.
I haven't actually traveled much either since I get road sick very easily, but there's no denying that it's a beautiful country, I'll have a road trip soon so I'll make sure to post many pics here.
I was on an mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (more commonly known as Mormons or the LDS Church).
I've heard of Bucaramanga, but never been there (it's a awesome sounding word). I wish I would have had more of a chance to travel around and visit the country, but I was there mainly to teach people about the church, so we didn't get to see a lot.
It's such a different place from the desert I live in, where nothing grows without a lot of water and work and care, and it's so ugly and dry here. Colombia was a beautiful place, I loved the climate of Bogota, in particular, since I don't care for heat, Bogota was a really great place. While I loved Girardot, it was the place I spent the longest, I met a lot of great people there, but it's too hot for my tastes, even if it's not the hottest part of the country.
Bucaramanga, Santander.
It's around 8 hours away from Bogota going by car.
Yeah Colombian people are great, May i ask why you lived here? Kinda curious about it.
Heyo, what part of Colombia are you from? I lived there for two years (about 15 years ago, jeez I'm getting old). I lived in various parts of Bogota for a year+, Pitalito for 3 months, Fusa for a couple of months and Girardot for 5 months.
There were some great people there. I still occasionally miss it.
