Found a link of the raw episode 00 : https://oload.cc/f/hDGFj1vaTd8/God%2...Jinga_-_00.mp4
EDIT : aaaand it's subbed by TV Nihon transcription of the very few first seconds (it's in English in the show anyway but still) SPOILERS : "Once, the most evil being known to mankind. He took on Messiah, source of all horrors that plagued the Earth, but, was defeated. For a long time, his soul floated without aim in the darkness, but he was finally reborn as the one thing he hated the most : Light Of his past, he knows nothing, but he will know hope... and despair..." So that's it guys. It's a sequel to the post-credit scene of the movie. Episode 0 is basically 80% of the trailer, while the remaining 20% seems to be Ep1. Meaning the trailer didn't spoil the show, which is very good news to me. I thought the Mikage family plot would be like the first 1/3 or half of the show. I'm glad it's not. Weak episode 1. Until the last minute plot twist that is.
Mostly the episode is too much focused on non-Jinga thing. Usually GARO shows do that but not to the point you dismiss the plot much. I don't remember ZERO - Dragon Blood to b far from Rei or Alice for too long. Whiel this ep was too much focused on the 2 schoolgirls. But the plot twist at the end though. First time this situation appears in the franchise. So definitely interesting. |

Kinda have to agree with Omnikaiser on this, episode 1 focuses too much on the non-Jinga thing but the plot twist at the end is definitely interesting. Luckily it had an episode 0 because this would've been a poor way to start the series. And it looks like it has no ending theme. Shame. I'm so use to opening and ending themes in tokusatsu that it feels odd not to see one.

I don’t know, maybe it’s because I remember Makai no Hana, where Raiga sometimes wouldn’t appear until the last five minutes, but this episode didn’t bother me too much. It actually reminded me a bit of Karen Rider 555 with the insanely over-the-top bullying. I was fully expecting a standard dark Garo ending, which is why I think the swerve worked so well: we’ve seen these kinds of characters and this type of story before, so it’s all the more noteworthy when it goes somewhere different.
I wasn’t particularly hyped for this show before it aired, but it really has my curiosity piqued now. What happened to that Horror and what happened to Jinga when it bit him? |

Phew a quite good episode this time. I hope the last one was a mistake only.
I didn't expect the little brother plot would be solved so easily/early in the series though. I thought it would be the mid show turning point and Jinga having to fight his little bro (while fighting his inner demons) for the rest of the show |

Just got around to episode 2 (busy schedule this semester is leaving little time for watching stuff with subtitles). I should try to avoid slacking off on this because I'm really enjoying it. I feel like we got a bit of a bait-and-switch with Jinga's reflection, though - I was expecting Gold Storm Jinga to show up there, but it was just our current version without the coat. I agree that the show resolved the parents' murder plot a lot sooner than I expected, but at least this way we don't have to watch it get dragged out too long.

Ep. 3 was good. Go Maskuman !
I like that this show is more on the grey area between good and evil than others in the franchise. You can see satisfaction on Jinga face when he slash the Horror now he knows the result. And nothing prevents this won't turn on a "blessed with sucks" toward the end.

On the one hand the episode is once again too much focused on the horror of the week like the school episode
but on the other hand I didn't feel it as boring as that one. |

Maybe its because this one had an actual ending? The first episode didn't really have a plot or anything like that. It was just watching a teenage girl get tormented for 20 minutes before it just... stopped. This one had something to say and, while its pretty much just a low budget place holder more then anything else, at least things are slightly better off in the world in a way that actually makes since with the way to characters were portrayed.
