The helmet damage bit has actually happened once in Rider that I remember. In the final battle of the Kiva movie, Otoya as Ixa's helmet was damaged while he was taking out a monster, then he took it off and fought Arc helmetless with Wataru.
I do agree that it is something that should happen more. Seeing the actor actually wearing the suit really helps to bridge the disconnect that tends to happen between a character and their Rider form. |

Bravo without a helmet. That is all.
Anyway, a helmetless final fight just needs to occur between Kouta and Ryoma.

While a helmetless fight would be cool we do have to keep in mind the actor's safety. Skulls only work for so long and yes I do know that there are parts with the actors doing stunts, like Gaku's flip into Jinba Lemon.
It's just that things can go wrong very fast when you least expect it too and is it stated that Kamen Riders have to keep the helmet on as a general rule unless it's a exception like the G guys from Agito? There's doing cool things and having them go well......and then there are accidents that could have been avoided with some foresight. |

The suit's sleeves aren't big enough for his arms.

None of the stunts they do are any more dangerous than stunts unhelmetted individuals do. The helmets offer less visibility, are probably harder to breathe in, and are hotter no doubt. The helmets deffinitely don't function to offer any protection, being so small and-form fitting. A helmetless fight would be safer. Plus, the stunts they do in suit are downright tame compared to most stuff. Kouta's backflip into jinba was easily the most "dangerous" stunt ever pulled in Gaim. You realise that most of these fights are just swiping and sparks. Or shooting VFX that don't actually exist. What do you expect them to do in an unhelmetted fight? |

You... do you really think those helmets actually do anything? They're probably less safe than not wearing a helmet. Guess I was wrong....again. It's just I'm so tired of being treated like an idiot. I miscalculated the durability of the helmets and to be fair I'm something of a worrywort. But it seems like every time I post something here it's picked apart because it's wrong or "You didn't think this though" It also seems like you're being rather harsh in dealing criticism. You know I tried to be a part of this forum but if all it seems like is just me making mistakes then I'm done. It sucks when every opinion, everything you thought was right being told it's WRONG. |

It happened to Garren near the end of Blade, too.

I guess when you're part of a franchise called "Masked Rider," the helmet is a little more important than in Sentai.
Anyway, it would be nice to see the characters in without them just once. It provides a better illusion that they're actually the ones in the suit.

I feel the need to step in here. Guys, Ladies, shall we not hurt each other's feelings and act more like adults and mature young people? Thank you.

I loved that part, it was awesome.
I mean most of the early Kamen Riders I felt like the suit was actually their new form more than just Armor and that they actually couldn't take off the helmets because it's their actual head. Some like the people in Blade, possibly the Faiz and Kabuto Riders, Probably All the Neo-Heisei riders (Except for say Double, and OOO), and any of the technological suit riders (G3-X, Birth, IXA, and the like.) I could definitely see being able to take off their helmets.
