Is it just me or does Takumi have a deeper sounding voice here? Well its been a while since I saw Faiz so I might not be remembering his voice correctly.

Liked the episode, and the twist, as well as the callback to Faiz episode 1's car accident too.
Solid good episode overall. Also liked how the Time Jackers are getting more fleshed out, and found it interesting that in a way the Another Faiz carried Takumi's orphenoch aspects too on draining life. Though was inverted as Time Jackers do to make it grant that life energy to another. And how that carried over in the zodiac aspect to Fourze which makes sense. From the next time clip, seems they are about to speed up show pace and development too, and we're getting more on why Sougo became Oma Zi-O and how Geiz and Tsukuyomi are key pieces of that, and also maybe how that may change. Show seems to be picking up on development and it was nice to see Geiz get some character focus. Speaking of, it kind of makes sense why he has the Ghost ride watch too. In connotation of series abilities, them dealing with a rider that can't be seen would be pretty impossible. So that skip ahead rather made sense, and would make for an interesting flashback or side story later too. Also with how far back Faiz's erasure was, it explains why his movie events aren't in play, since as of right now they've been erased from the timeline as if his show never existed. Though is curious how he still has the belt, but seemingly no power in it, and no memory of how it's supposed to work. Really liked how they managed to tie everything together. Made many things more obvious, but also still assumed the audience was smart and didn't bother with heavy exposition on other things. And I take that back about quilt work over a solid thread. Because of how timelines are erased into the riders never existing, it makes the quilt work become one solid straight line thread. So everything can exist in one world because none of their material existed. Which is why various monsters that'd cause a chaotic world don't exist since the rider ceased to exist. At least from what we saw last week with the monster disappearing when Fourze did, and this week with how it's implied the Oprhenoch disappeared when Faiz did. Which we can assume Mari survived since Kusaka and Takumi still became friends through their connection through her. Because of her history at the Ryuusei school too. Though now I want to see that story in how Takumi and Mari became friends, since this changes the entire aspect of her accidentally stealing his bag. Or at least how the aftermath of that played out instead of an Orphenoch fight. Unless the erasure only takes effect at the point of another rider creation so that part is still intact only without orphenochs and a working belt. Quote:
Damn, takumi's voice is deep. I think he's doing it on purpose like M. His voice was entirely different back 15 years ago, but idk if he's smoking, but he started using this voice in both return in gaim and drive.Kusaka is like vegeta now. I thought he was after her powers to keep himself alive. A lot of Easter egg catch phrases and tie in to 555 like the tone of people dying and regrets. Mari was cleverly edited back there with the dehenshin. Faiz and kaiza's history are already rewritten, so that's why they're alive and can't henshin, but if takumi have the ride watch then doesn't mean it's a confirm time paradox that ohma zio can't be stopped. The same with why aura is affected or was there after schwartz. Time is too confusing to overthink and even the writers doesn't care about continuity like dragonball. I kind of wish there were more respect and acknowledgement to the toku alumni. I guess they need to develop their own characters and stories then touch on each rider lore. It's good the motw is not a generic no brain jab. Also, the uncle seems to purposely drop hints or it's unrelated to the overall story. Nice throw back to the laundry mat and ryusei hs. Inui is fully human now. |

Oh it's very reminiscent of kiva with the two timeline. If they do kiva with Grease's actor then they can utilize something similar, but we might just get a few ride watches handed in bulk. The Karin's actress look so familiar. I'm surprise her bf wasn't age up in beard after 15 years of being depress. Did they just retcon defeating fourze in present time? I guess after maybe another few plot heavy tribute, time jackers might up the motw thenselves.

Not a fan of this kind of show, but a lot of main riders reacting to their respective show. Also, teenage faiz as delta. This was the show with over dramatize cliffhanger and random fight that isn't the typical motw general formula. Interesting bts with ex aid actors like rpm special. You can hear the squeal from the audiences when kabuto and deno clips were shown, which mean they're super famous after graduating toku to ever come back unless it's some major non-guest reuinon project along with better pay and on set experiences.

Something else fun about this two parter were the another Riders themselves.
Defeat Fourze and it's revealed to be Faiz. Defeat Faiz, and it's back to Fourze. It's a count up joke at the start of the two parter, and a countdown joke at the end of the two parter. |

Sad to say, Zi-O isn't really doing it for me and I might just drop it...for now. Maybe I might marathon it when the show's almost done.

I think I'm at the place with Zi-O right now that I was with Wizard: the show has some elements that I like and I really want to enjoy it, but I'm just not that into it. I still have some high hopes for the series, but I think it's suffering right now from trying to establish the main cast, establish the villains, do anniversary tributes with returning characters, and tell some kind of two-part story all at the same time. Hopefully the show will improve once we have a better handle on the characters, but for now it's pretty rough going.
