Thanks to Tokunation member Gryphman for the heads up!
Thanks to the ever informative DecaEnd a recent interview with the head writer for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger has shed some light on the series. Head Writer Riku Sanjo has expressed his desire to write the ENTIRETY of Kyoryuger alone. That's right folks Riku Sanjo, also known for his works on Kamen Riders W & Fourze, is the sole individual responsible for the brilliance of this show so far. At the time of this interview he'd already written 12 episodes of the show completely alone! And if it's up to him and the show continues it's current pace and ratings he just may get his wish.
How many tokusatsus can you think of that have only ever been written by a single person?
Tamashi Features Vol.5 is currently underway, and while we have yet to receive many new updates, many figures that were announced these last couple of days are now on display at the event.
Beast is shown in a display along with a complete line up of Wizard’sStyles and Dragon Style forms.
A complete display of Showa Rider and Heisei Riders, including Kamen Rider Ichigo as he first appeared in the original 1971 TV series, along with a full OOO and Fourze display.
DeluKnight and the Akibarangers makes an appearance at this event, as well as the massive Itashar Robo.
Odin and Femme as well as the rest of the 13 Riders from Kamen Rider Ryuki/Dragon Knight.
And finally, a Sentai display featuring complete teams of Dekaranger, Shinkenger, Gokaiger, and Gobusters, Basco, Red Hawk, Black Condor, and recently announced Mighty Morphin Red and Green Rangers can also be seen in this display.
Tamashi Features is still an on going event. Stay tuned for more developments!
Last week we brought you some information on the appearance of KyoryuCyan in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. Thanks to AlphaHeroShock we now have confirmed information for his appearances!
KyoryuCyan (Ramirez) & his partner Zyudenryu Ankyodon will appear in Brave 5 of Kyoryuger and stick around for that episode as well as all of Brave 6. The apparent reason being that he isn't just bestowing his power on the Kyoryugers. He actually has to convince Akyodon to become their ally!
Do you need a dose of new Toku in your life? Well here it is! In the 70's Shotaro Ishinimori created a rough sketch and background for a new character called Tetsu Majin Shadoru for a TV series. Eventually this design morphed into what came to be Chojin Bashan from the Chojin Bibyun TV series.
In 2004 the Ishinimori Manga Museum created a full suit out of the original unused design to have on display and dubbed it Sea Jetter Kaito! The design was popular enough that a short manga was launched and Kaito became the local/regional hero of the Miyagi Prefecture! That popularity lead to the Ishinimori Museum creating this full live action film of the character titled Sea Jetter Kaito! It will be exclusively shown at the Inshinimori Manga Museum beginning March 23rd.
The film itself will star Yuki Satoh who fans may recognize as none other than Kamen Rider Gattack! The theme of the film, also called "Sea Jetter Kaito", will be sung by Masaki Endou with insert themes "The Immortal Hero Sea Jetter Kaito" by Hironobu Kageyama and “Fight!! Sea Jetter Kaito” by Ichiro Mizuki!

Youtube user wotakufighter2121 strikes again with some more incredibly early reviews of DX sentai mecha! This time he has his hands on DX Kyoryuger Zyudenryu Zakutor & Parasagun! Simple remolds of one another this pair of dinos makes a new set of arms for the mighty Kyoryuzin. When the 3 are combined a new sound effect and music very reminiscent of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme plays and the voice over dubs this combo Kyoryuzin Western!
Check ou the video above showcasing the combined form and followthe link below to see the partner mecha of Kyoryu Green and Black on their own too! Individual Figures Video
While the hunt continues for the Legacy Power Moprher, the next piece in the Power Rangers 20th Anniversary sees it's release: The Legacy Megazord is now hitting the shelves.
Hellageo of Youtube brings us an unboxing and brief demonstration of the DX Legacy Megazord, you can watch his video in the link below:
It’s finally here! S.H.Figuarts Mighty Morphin' Green Ranger and Red Ranger (Zyurangers' Dragon Ranger and Tyranno Ranger) first seen during Tamashi Nations 2012 are now up for pre-order!
And they’ll be arriving much sooner then we think: Red will be shipping in August while Green will be coming in July.
Both Figuarts will retail for $41.95, Red will come with his Power SwordGun in both sword and Gun modes and a Power Sword, while Green will include his signature Dragon Dagger and Sword of Darkness
Nao Nagasawa has revealed via her blog that she has joined the cast of GARO The One Who Shines In Darkness! Add this to the list of various other Tokusatsu shows she's played a part in.
Scans of the latest Figure-Oh Magazine, #181 have just hit and with them we get more looks at Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2! These images show off the new Akibaranger costumes in all their glory, noting the differences from the original suits to these new updates.
Also included in these scans are multiple images of the new trio of S.H. Figuarts Akibarangers which give us a better look at Cho Akibared as well as the new hairstyles for Yellow and Blue. A brief snippet on the side of the Season 1 recap page even gives us 2 new images of S.H. Figuarts Delu Knight and confirms his release in July for 3675 yen!
Last but not least is a pair of new images from Super Hero Taisen Z! One showing Wizard, Beast, and Goaki Silver facing off against Sharivan! And the other showing off more of the Space Shocker elite, the new buddyroid Chisato, as well as Gokai Silver disguised (or brainwashed?) as a Shocker Soldier!
S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Beast official images have just gone up on the Bandai Tamashii website! It looks like Beast will be coming with everything pertinent to his character aside from his Beast Mantles which will be a Tamashii Web Eclusive Release in July.
Beast will come with his trademark Dice Saber with normal and extended blades, as well as interchangeable face plates for his Saber Strikes 1-6. And of course it has to come with the universal condiment, a bottle of Mayonnaise! Beast comes out in June for 3675 yen.
Thanks to Amazon.co.jp, we have a look at the DVD cover for the forthcoming Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters VS Dobutsu Sentai Go-Busters V-cinema release!
The cover gives us our first look at the Dobutsu Go-Buster suits, which feature more traditional black visors on the helmets. Among them is the brand new Black Puma character, and Hiromu's sister Rika as another Pink Buster character!
The film is 45 minutes long and will be released June 21st.
Thank you to Tokunation member Blade Raider for sharing!
Tamashii's Main Page has confirmed that S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Odin (or "Wrath" if you're a Dragon Knight fan) will be released this summer!
Odin is the ninth Ryuki Rider to be released and apparently his Contract Beast Golphoenix will be included with the figure! Both will be in stores this June
at a cost of 4,725 Yen
Courtesy of toy reviewer Shishioh, we have a photo gallery of the recently released Web ExclusiveS.H.Figuarts Fourze Meteor Fusion States figure, which debuted in the recently subbed Kamen Rider Fourze Movie: Space, Here We Come! film.
The Figure has no unique accessories, but instead has a plethora of optional hands to make up for that.
Let's Watch Wednesdays marches on with more episodes of Juuken Sentai Gekiranger andt his week we're catching episodes 7-9! When we last left off with the Gekirangers the quirky Fujishiro appeared, we found out that Retsu was a talented painter, and Retsu wall walked circles around Moriya, and almost around Meles heart!
Thanks to the team at Henshin Justice Unlimited for pointing us to this particular video. It seems that much like your usual Rider Belts and Sentai Changers that some crafty fan in Japan has hacked their DX Kyoryuger Gabutyra. The hack reveals a sound clip that names every sentai in succession from Go-Ranger to Kyoryuger!
Chances are this is a toy only feature that won't be used in show. Much like the Go-Buster Morphin' Brace shouting out "Super Sentai" or the Specil Rush Wizard Ring which called out all the Showa Kamen Riders.
Credit to user KRX for pointing us to this. AlphaHeroShock has just posted up the character list for the upcoming V-Cinema Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Vs. Doubutsu Sentai Go-Busters!
This information comes from the current issue of Hyper Hobby Magazine. Sadly and rather oddly this list excludes fan favorite character Beet J Stag! What could this mean? Is J missing after the finale of the Go-Busters TV Series? The Dobutsu (or animal) Go-Busters are supposed to be an alternate version of the team that our normal Busters will face off against. Perhaps they come from an alternate world that has no Beet J Stag?
Go-Busters Vs. Go-Busters will be released on DVD June 21st and retails for 6300 yen! It's time for final buster!
As fans go forward with collecting, there is a progressive amount of stuff found to collect. Perhaps you wanted to go beyond mass produced toys, and wanted to buy prototypes? Luckily for us, in this day and age, prototypes/testshots and what have you, are usually readily available for auction on the internet. While some may refrain from buying these, these auctions at least give us images of toys before production. Sometimes these toys change by final production, sometimes they just aren't produced at all due to cancellation. With that said, sometimes online auctions are our only glimpses at "what could have been".
So on this rainy day lets take a look at some select Power Rangers prototypes on ebay:
As alluded to before, maybe you don't want to buy these, but just want to see how these toys were before final production? If that's the case, we've mirrored the images from the aforementioned auctions. Note: most of the links are to private auctions. Sellers include gmlenterprises, lawijki & mj_var.
