Kamen Rider or Super Sentai not your thing for heroes? Then good news everyone! It has just been announced that a new alternative tokusatsu will be produced by Bushiroad, the company responsible for the popular Cardfight Vanguard anime/CCG. The new show will be titled Fire Leon! Currently it looks like the show will begin airing this April and star pro-wrestler Kazuchika Okada.
However this show will not exclusively feature its' titular character, Fire Leon. This show is meant to be a dream team-up of sorts for the various Local Heroes of Japan! All across Japan small towns and areas have their own locally produced toku heroes, characters who promote the area and bear appearances that honor their towns. Some even make it to local television and film! Fire Leon will feature cameos and guest appearances by Local Heroes from all across Japan!!
Much like Cardfight Vanguard, Fire Leon will have it's own collectible card game also produced by Bushiroad. The CCG will also feature Japans' various local heroes!

Zangyack and cyclones and crabs, oh my! Tonight has marked a flurry of activity as Tamashii Web is updating with the latest exclusives in their various lines in June. Prime among them is the long-anticipated and hinted S.H. MonsterArts "accessory" set intended to complete the upcoming Destoroyah release, from Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995). As reported last week, a leaked scan from Figure-Oh magazine with the name, price, and release month was quickly followed by newer scans earlier today and finally leading to the official Bandai announcement, product listing on Tamashii Webshop, and even confirmation from Bluefin that the set would be coming to the US!
The Destoroyah Evolution Set unfortunately includes no known effect parts, but still accessorizes well with the Destoroyah Final Form coming to Japan in February, expected in the US in March. The set includes three different stages in the growth of the Precambrian crustacean - a less-developed Crab, the infamous Aggregate Form which fought Godzilla Junior in the film, and the rarely-produced-in-plastic Flying Form which preceded the monstrous final form. All three figures are appropriated scaled to their final form as well as prior releases Burning Godzilla and Godzilla Junior and will be available in June at a cost of 8400 yen according to both the earlier scans and the Tamashii Web listing. Bluefin will be releasing the Destoroyah Evolution Set in North America as announced mere minutes ago on their Facebook page with pricing and date to be determined.

In news that should shock most people, it has just been announced via an Amazon.JP listing that Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters will have a V-Cinema (straight to DVD original movie) this June! Normally V-Cinemas come about because of the high ratings a series enjoys, which was the case when both Shinkenger and Goseiger had Returns V-Cinemas. With Go-Busters record low ratings it's quite surprising, but none the less welcome, to see a new V-Cinema!
The film itself has the tentative titled Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters V-Cinema. Release date is June 21st, for 6300 yen. We'll update you as more information becomes available.
