what the hell?.. why are all the sets that i've seen have the buildings molded in an army colored green?.. it's SOO lame and has completely turned me off from getting it.
i'm still surprised that they gave godzilla gills. |

As for the reason why the change was made, via a Toho Kingdom interview: Quote:

well hey, at least i'll save money on this set and hopefully he'll understand that there isn't a city in the world that comprised of green buildings. .. i'm not sure how that military green color is "more fun".. oh well. Quote:

Or maybe you'll encounter one of the gray ones and pick it up. They're all over eBay too, although obviously at varying degrees of being overpriced. BBTS and Amazon have all three different sets available and might have them all in gray, but that's something of a gamble. Or, because they're still shipping and available, you could pick one up from a friend or acquaintance who's found the gray version.
I don't entirely understand Bandai America's reasoning behind the running change, but on the other hand I actually want to own both varieties of colors eventually, having an even bigger cityscape with some colorful variety. |
And here I opened the gray ones. Should have kept them MISB. Collectors item I tell you!!!

they should've made godzilla teal.. i mean.. all reptiles aren't dark green.. it would've been more fun!
