Edit: nevermind, turns out they're all seperate releases! |
I hope this isn't BBTS jumping the gun and assuming stuff here or anything, because if not this is awesome news. Definitely a little pricier than I would have expected; that's the same pricepoint as Amazing Mighty which came with extra parts for Rising Mighty while these seemingly don't come with anything extra to justify the higher price.
That's the only chink in something so awesome, though. Definitely picking them up when I can! |

Looks like there are some cool stands included for people who are into the imagins. This is from Tokullectibles.
EDIT: p-bandai's page just updated with new pics and info. https://p-bandai.jp/hobby/kr-deno/ |
Den-O Box Art
3 Attachment(s)
Here is the box art for all the form. Same as Double, they are all sold seperatly.RIP my wallet.
|
Awesome!! June is indeed the release date, and they're all 4180 Yen. So great to see this happening
|
I am completely in love with the fact that there are now four different Den-O kits with cool unique art for each form... and then the exact same insert of Plat Form cowering in fear over in the corner on every one of them.
|
oh god oh god oh god oh god *I'm automatically plays Double Action Climax Form in my head, lol*
soo.... June, eh? Onodera-Kuuga in March Ryuki, Stealth Seven Suit thingy, and that anime gurl in April Den-O other 3 forms, and Tiga Suit Sky Type in June my best guess for Agito is... August |
When do you guys think we'll get the annoucment for P-Bandai Ryuga with Dragblacker? How long was it between the primary riders and Joker and Genm?
|
It's a bit hard to tell, especially when the line's gotten popular so I could see them making announcements like that earlier.
|
So since the additional Den-O forms are a thing, I wonder when we will see exclusives of Ryuki riders. I mean if we wanna talk template re-use Ryuki is up there and with the exception of Femme, which probably will require a new mold due to physique differences, the others are just swaps of head, chest armor, shoulders, and belt buckle pretty much. As for Abyss I imagine some extra stickers would be required for the extra details on the arms and legs.

The thing with Ryuki riders too is that Ryuki comes with Dragredder, so if they wanna keep up mirror monsters they can't just re-use the suits. Even without them I definitely wouldn't think many Ryuki Riders would really be made at this rate; at best Knight and that's your lot.
The other thing you have to consider with the Den-O forms is that the way the release works, in a technical sense; it's just the normal Den-O release with different accessories -- Plat Form is the actual figure here, and the Sword/Rod/Ax/Gun parts are optional armour. That's a lot different from something like Knight or Zolda. |

We'll be able to have a better idea of what other riders they might do once we get a look at the runners.
Den-O very clearly had runners separated out for his alternative forms. |
After they finish all of the heisei riders, which would take a a while, I wonder what's next. Final forms? Secondaries? Reiwa riders? I wouldn't mind a Zero-One.

Also would not mind Showa. |

Found this little gem in a South Louisiana GameStop, on sale, and I only went in on a whim!
Didn't expect to find something like this there. |
Oh, awesome! That's an extremely good price for it too!!! This gonna be your first time doing a kit?

It turned out well then and I still have it. Problem is I'm not all that good at this stuff. I had a hell of a time with a little model of the Defiant from DS9 from not long ago. Too many small pieces which have to fit just so. I'm really taking a risk with this, but the fact that I saw Ex-Aid at a GameStop at that price was just too tempting to ignore! |

You've definitely picked a heck of a one to start with, though -- as you might expect from his wild design, Ex-Aid's got a loooot of stickers to contend with |
Did anyone happen to build the Kotobukiya Ultraman? It seemed to be the best B-type suit kit in terms of engineering. Pretty crazy too that most of the runners made of ABS, instead of the usual PS plastic.

Bandai model kits are still years ahead of the competition in engineering and ease of assembly. Don't be intimidated.

What would you guys recommend if I'd want to stick down Build's eye stickers? His rabbit sticker keeps on peeling at the top. Should I mod podge or just cut off the little bit at the top that is peeling off?

I used clear nail polish. Normally I would've used a Chrome paint like Kyushushu mentioned but I still wanted the back of the part to be black. |

Note that this is the clear bottle labeled "Clearly Thinking Nail Polish" and not the other clear bottle labeled "3-in-1 Treatment One Step Prep". I think people using things like the latter that look like clear nail polish is where they run into problems. |

Brand shouldn't matter, from my experience. I use SO much clear nail polish because of SO-DO figures. None of it has directly damaged my plastic as long as I applied it properly. I HIGHLY recommend getting the rapid-drying ones, which are a dollar at your convenience store. I'd say it's absolutely required - you don't want the nail polish to drip before it actually solidifies.
The big thing you need to keep in mind is to NEVER brush the nail polish on - you drip it. Pretend they're eye drops(don't actually put them in your eyes though lol). The reason for this is that brushing/swiping nail polish onto the surface of a sticker will absolutely ruin it. If you mess up, DOUBLE DOWN, apply more nail polish - just make sure you never brush. Once you've got it down, it won't even feel like a sticker anymore, which is so awesome. I've used 4 different brands of clear nail polish and none of them have directly damaged anything I collect, which includes RKF, SHF, Gunpla, and SO-DO. |

You can apply it with a paint brush if you have paint brush with thin and soft bristles. It's just that the one that usually comes with the nail polish is too rough.
|
As I can't get my hands on nail polish, could I use mod podge? It would probably not be as quality but it should work?
