Bloody hell that Mecha Godzilla. It's something I've wanted for a long time but as nice as it looks, I don't think I can justify $90 for it. 70 sure, maybe- maybe 80 tops. I'd hope the price would come down since it's likely to be a mass release over here, but I have my doubts about a price reduction, at least from the start. Could always reduce naturally over time like Shodai and Sokogeki Goji did.
Regardless, they're releasing a crap ton of stuff in quick succession so inevitably some of this stuff in gonna have to wait. |
All those rivets, gorgeous.
Still don't own any Monsterarts, and this definitely wouldn't be near the top of my list for first ones to get, but it does look nice. Kinda wish I hadn't waited on Shin Godzilla or Biollante or any of the other ungodly expensive releases (though to be fair, Biollante was ridiculously expensive from the start). At least the new Destoroyah is nice and affordable. But I need a good, big G for him to fight. |
Don't worry, Biollante is a Heisei monster, so it's bound to get at least 3 more repaints.

I want it, but I'm perfectly content with waiting how this plays out. If Bluefin gets it, it may just be easier to import the figure from Amazon.co even with the Euro to Dollar conversion being not as good. And who knows, maybe it ends up getting a discount down the road. If not... eh, MonsterArts is a sinking ship anyway. I will probably just sell the few figures I have if the line isn't doing any better in the next few years. |
I'll be buying it for sure since it is the first Non-Godzilla Showa monster ever.
