New Kamen Rider W Project?
1 Attachment(s)
So, this image was seen in the recent batch of magazine scans.
No major context but it definitely looks like a return to the city of Futo... |
Renn Kiriyama was stated to want a Joker V-Cinema...
|
More Double? Yes please.
|
YES!
I don't care what this is, I want it. If there is one Rider show I will always happily take more of it's W. |
The fact that's artwork makes me think it's just gonna be some sort of manga or novel. Not gonna get too excited just yet.
|
*high pitches screeching*
I can't believe I nearly missed this. I sure hope whatever the heck this is will be accessible to us poor English speakers in one way or another. |

Though Renn Kiriyama's visiting the US for a convention in a few months, so filming would have to be done by now then |

I'm just not gearing myself up for disappointment. If it turns out to be something big then wonderful. |
Maybe not manga, but anime?
I mean I'd love a live-action project. And a more adult-oriented project a la Amazons (but hopefully better than that show's early episodes) would be ideal, but I doubt it. |
I really hope this isn't an anime!
|
My OCD didn't allow me to enjoy the series. So I doubt I'll enjoy this project either. I hope I'm wrong. Because I want to enjoy this series.
|
It usually takes about 3-4 weeks for something of the scans to bear fruit, right?
|
Joker V-Cinema is probably most likely, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was the successor to Amazons, either. Apparently the page says something about "telling your parents that Kamen Rider W is back", according to KamenRiderNews, so it's possible.
Though if it is, I'm gonna have a hell of a time finding time to watch Double so I can watch this. |

... Oh fuck it was 8-9 years ago |
Kamen Rider W is not that old. I guess the kids who watch W with their parents may have parents that still like Kamen Rider and want to watch with them.

Seems like Toku Net's confirmed that it will be a sequel project, but not produced in a video format so most likely some sort of novel:

Honestly I hope it isn't a novel for sort of obvious reasons. It would definitely be cool to see a comic. But I'd probably bet money on it being a novel or drama CD.
|
I hope they finally finish the Foundation X storyline.
|
I mean, to be honest I only really want them doing more Double if Phillip's actor comes back, and given that's he's apparently super popular now that seems about as likely as Toei remembering that Momotaros isn't Den-O. Not that Joker isn't the height of coolness, but come on, the show wasn't called Kamen Rider Single.
It's pretty interesting how insistent they're acting about this being a proper continuation of the series though. Whatever they're doing, it could be pretty interesting, even if it isn't live-action. |
It's also possible that they're gauging interest in further W material.
|
And this is exactly why I didn't get my hopes up.
A manga would be kinda cool though. Not that it'd probably ever get officially translated but still. |
|
Huh cool. Decent chance of somebody scanlating that then.

Ah, Philip and his classic... Green... Hair? What?
Pretty disappointed. Sho's not Sho without his actor hamming it up. |
Phillip having green hair is rather befitting.
|
So did Phillip spend to much time in the Gaia Archives and get his hair tinted as a result? Or is this another eccentric thing he's trying out.
Then again, Sho's gone and given himself a rabbit's tail on his head. And while we just saw Terui not to long ago in Drive, how's he going to look? And that kid of his too. |

Together again...
|
So this imge entails what exactly?

From what I've read from others places, it's just a cover for the magazine that the manga is in.
|
Doubt it's implying anything else, but it is a pretty cool cover nonetheless.
Now if only they'd do that in the manga! Ha. 4 chapters in and they still haven't transformed. |
It's advertising an interview with Kiriyama and Suda that'll be included with the next chapter of Fuuto Detective. I don't really think it's much more than a cool promo cover though.
