...Transformers crossover?
|
Power Rangers may be under Hasbro's banner? How curious. I wonder what that will entail for the post 2019 figures, then.
|
...Alright look, if this is true and means stuff like good figures with good articulation and sculpting, I'm in for any villains they make.
|
I don't know how to feel about this, alot of BOA's things recently have been subpar, like by alot, but I feel they were getting the hang of it in some ways. However Hasbro is alot better about alot of things like distribution (never even saw some of the zords in person for super megaforce and dinocharge) but Hasbro has been known to cut corners in key areas, like joints on marvel legends, and replacing paint for cheap stickers.
I guess, yay? |
I would actually be 100% okay with this, Hasbro makes some pretty good stuff. Maybe they can figure out a way to make Zords that aren’t bricks.
|
.......What. Just.... what. This is not something I expected to hear, EVER.
|
Can't wait for Zords with articulation :p
|
I'm skeptical, but I guess we will see soon.
I'll be amused if Hasbro just turns around and licenses the Bandai JP product for wider distribution. Stranger things have happened. |
and based on how Hasbro treats G1 Transformers...
If you thought you were sick of MMPR NOW! :P |
I hope not, Hasbro is too big right now and the last thing they need is more control over the toy market.
I am no doubt in the minority here, but I would just love a company that would make new Chogokin style ranger figures. |

Okay so it probably won't happen, but I'd find it funny if some Zords end up being compatable with the Combiner Wars style TFs. |
GOOD.
This is what this brand has sorely needed for years. We can finally be rid of Bandai America's horrendous 5" figures, zordbuilder, the works. A fresh start for Power Rangers is exactly what's been needed for at least the last 10 years. |
I'v seen at Lot of the hasbro toys over lets say the past 5 years. They SUCK!! Its like hasbro has just stoped caring about how they make a Lot of there toys. Some not all but some of there transformers line have been so sooooo bad. hmmmm? Its a wait & see thing..

That, and the fact that we might get six in power ranger figures that aren't overly muscled. If this deal goes through, Hasbro will three major toy brands under their belt: Power Rangers, Marvel, and Star Wars. They'll effectively own the toy isles. |

Considering they also put out the Marvel and Star Wars lines, giving more spotlight on Disney's PR series wouldn't be too outlandish. |

And we all know how that went. Quote:

Whole new ball game for power rangers. I wonder what hasbro toys are like since I never bought a toy from them ever? Are they good, bad, or poor hmm?

Thank God. Bandai America has been shitting on PR since 2007 when Operation Overdrive came out.
|
Does this mean we'll be getting 3.75" Ranger figures?
Goddammit and I sold all my Joe stuff a few years back... |

This is of course assuming that this is actually happening and the Power Rangers line doesn't end up going to someone who would waste it like Jazwares or Funko. |
I mean the only thing I can hope for is that they keep making villain figures. Like, that's it honestly. This is still super weird.

It's promising if it happens. |
I hope that we get some Power Ranger figures that aren't super overly buff .
What other stuff does BOA make ? |

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!? HOW IS THAT ANY MORE LEGALLY POSSIBLE THAN ALREADY CUTTING TIES WITH BANDAI?! |
There's some valid criticism to be levied against Hasbro for the direction they're taking Transformers, but damnit they're still managing to put out in my opinion plenty of solid collector-oriented figures in Generations despite cost cutting measures. Really managed to work well with what they've got. If that work can be put into Power Rangers Megazords, assuming they don't just go back to using the Bandai of Japan releases for current seasons, then things can only get better. Especially with ditching Zord Builder. Now continue recreating older Megazords a-la Legacy minus that stupid gimmick, and oh boy will that be good.
Plus they really can't be beat right now in the action figure line. Marvel Legends are insanely popular and get all the things right Bandai got wrong with their attempt(s). So consider me tentatively interested there too. This potential acquisition only looks good to me. |

So no Legacy Shogun Megazord? but on the other hand if Hasbro wants to remake old Megazords I think they can do it in a more economical way as in mini Megazords

I also hoping that we get the Psycho Rangers and the Gold power staff cause now I just very nervous about what happing with the legacy line. The writing was on the wall all this time no female figures then no shogun megazord rerelease of flip heads. Now the new logo and this damn it all happen so fast. |

I wouldn't mind seeing this happen and overall I think they will make the best toys out of all the options, the others being Playmates or Mattel. Hasbro has a solid track record with transformers overall and have proven themselves when it comes to combining robots with Combiner Wars IMO. Budget 3'"3/4 for the kids, not for me but they do well enough to keep being made for the kids. And Marvel Legends are the best 6" figures locally.

Wow. That’s huge news. Bandai Japan has consistently been producing screen accurate Megazords while Bandai America tends to cut corners. Here’s hoping Hasbro keeps in the same quality Japan hold to their zords. I’m scared of light and hollow zords that Hasbro would make for their leader transformers.
|
I wonder if this will affect the S.H Figuarts line if Bluefin wants to import any future Sentai figuarts (If Tamashii does bring the line back).
