Go-Busters Mission 47: Resets and Backups
Enter knows of Red-Buster's weak point, so it's up to the Go-Busters to find a way around it! Discuss!

Every time I think of when Toei said that GoBusters was "too dark," I think of Red Buster's chicken weakness and wonder what the hell they're talking about.
This . . .wasn't too, bad. The problem is, in classic Go-Busters fashion, every attempted at adding in some drama or making any of what's going on seem as though it means anything is undercut by stupid slapsticky stuff. For instance: The BIG REVEAL at the end should hit like a ton of bricks. Unfortunately, we've had fifteen minutes of chicken-freeze BS to get to that point, so . . .doesn't work as well as it should. Plus, we've had two pretty decisive endings to this show and it's still sputtering on in search of a point. |
That ending sequence was... awkward.

Another great episode, which just goes to show that even when Go-Busters is handling a comedic subject it can do it well if it wants to.
Lots of interesting stuff going on with Enter, what with him FINALLY announcing himself as the new Messiah. By the looks of it he's inherited his majesty's short temper to go with it. There were also plenty of little things I liked in the episode too, like the Beet Buster parts coming out of the jet during the morph sequence, Jin riding the volcanick attack and of course Jin in a chicken suit :lol |
Now THAT was a plot twist! I was expecting the 13th card to be the backup, but I guessing it was in hyperspace. Maybe inside Jin, who's dying anyways. Didn't see Hiromu being the backup. Enter will indeed be going down as one of the most clever Sentai villains.
Also, Hiromu took up the Yellow Four way of fighting :lol |
I just watched the episode. Even though I don't know jack about Go-Busters, it was fairly entertaining and decent. I might have to try and watch the rest of the series if I can find the subs.

Remember kids, when you lose your pet beetle, always check your pockets instead of assuming it got transformed into a monster.

Holy shit. I've been saying for a long time that Go-Busters pulled a major turn around at the mid-point of the series. But this? This is some epic payoff after that turn around. I never ever would have expected Hirmou to unknowingly have the last card, or that Enter wanted to evolve into a perfect human. This series has just become increasingly better over time and this episode is right in line with that trend.

I think it's time I went back and watched the rest of series.
