Power Rangers Legacy 6.5" Figures - Wave 5 In Package Images

Awesome that it now looks like crap. Saves me $100 bucks and then some since I don’t need to get them all anymore
Red's doing a bit of man-spreadin'.
Apparently Bandai got a discount of the "Toffee" colored plastic and is trying to pass it off as "Gold". Seriously, even the gold plastic Hasbro used on toys looks more like gold than this.
Wait, I thought Dino Thunder Black had the Brachio Staff? I can only see BAF in that box.
But... they got the gold right on MMPR White. What was wrong with that colour that they couldn't use it on this wave?
Yeah where's Bracchio's staff. They showed it off at one point and it looked good. I don't think they want this line to sell. :( Sad, I liked the metallic MMPR. Weird scale, no accessories, and now just 0 care in the figure. Their worth $10 at this point. At most.
Wait up.....if he doesn't have the staff, then why does he need his holster?
Seriously what is Bandai doing? Edit: Apparently it's just hidden by packaging which is fine. I retract this one negative. |

Those Zeo figures look so cheap.
Looks fine to me.
Then again I could just be used to the gold plastic Bandai uses because I build Gundam models. |

The gold plastic used for MMPR White was fine. It was still unpainted gold plastic, but it looked pretty good for being that. Why not just use that plastic for the Zeo figures? Quote:

With paint you need to have the manufacturing plant set up a system to apply it. Since this is a limited run, the custom setup is more expensive per run.
With plastic, you just use those pellets. Likely no more expensive than the other. In order to do that for the Zeo ranger the below scenarios need to happen. * Note I am angry at BOA so I will insult them. Please ignore those adjectives. 1) The gold portions are separate parts. A real professional company may do that to add to the overall build quality. But that means more assembly is needed. The Torso as opposed to be 2 parts is not 4-5 parts. That adds time and money. Making molds is expensive. In this scenario, all the ranger teams have different molds. With the limited run BOA is trying save a bunch wherever. So pornstar female rangers stick around because they can reuse the molds. I don't know if any other figure outside this line uses those. If they do that would explain so much. Same when the male figures. They could be reusing another franchise molds. 2) They do what they've been doing but the plastic used is all gold. That means they need to paint all the figures the correct ranger colors. This is impractical, since the majority of the design is that ranger color. You'd need to apply enough coats to hide that gold. So now you also need various setups for each color. Before you only needed say butterscotch or white paint. That's what is annoying. There is no reason they couldn't use gold paint. It's not that much more expensive in bulk. BOJ seems to be professional. BOA seems to hate it's customers but wants money. |
Whats really getting me is the no female rangers in this case ast. and lasts. I'm gonna be pissed if I can't get a zeo yellow and pink. Really pissed.
honestly i want the whole team to be made from every series , but if they are pulling out the females due to lack of sells (which its true only see yellows and pinks in my area) i rather complete the color/theme of the team , even if it means they will have to be males, which im kinda shocked they havent made a male yellow mmpr yet and give em the weapons to the whole team.
Looks like Vince McMahon's dream Sentai team.
Note.
The only Zeo Ranger to receive gold paint is Zeo Green, and only in his chest. His cuffs, boots, and belt is still the butterscotch yellow. But the chest is gold, and not butterscotch. So why is one Zeo figure, the only Zeo figure, have gold paint on his chest and every other figure does not? Is it because he's similar to MMPR Green and they're hoping for some confused parents/kids/casuals buying it? |
Seriously why is Bandai doing this?
I'm pretty sure I'm done after they Zeo/DT figures come out now. I have no interest in Ninja Steel. The Psycho Rangers, I might pick up one but as cool as they look. They are the same colors. So I can pick up one male psycho and leave porn star pink/yellow on the shelf. BOA, it could have been simple. Make one male solid male figure. Make on solid female figure. Hell you could have made one solid figure as the female rangers didn't need to get the sexist design shaft. Paint them correctly and consistently. Make sure the damn helmets were correct. DONE. I would have released them all in one box or at least one box online. That way people who only wanted one figure could find them in stores. People who wanted them all could get them in one go. The waves would have simply been whole teams. I wonder if the movie gave them $$$ fever and then when it didn't kickstart a franchise they got cold feet. |
Oooof. That mix of plastic colors/consistencies on Zeo Red is unfortunate too. His torso practically looks translucent. Hopefully just the lighting?
