ULTRAMAN Manga Animation Adaptation Confirmed
https://i.imgur.com/aSqMuka.jpg
The popular ULTRAMAN manga by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi, the duo who brought us Linebarrels of Iron, has been greenlit for a 2019 anime adaptation. As we all know, there was a countdown not too long ago and now it has been discovered that it lead to this reveal. The manga is currently serialized on Japan's Monthly Heros, and is a spin-off sequel which follows Shinjiro Hayata, son of the original Ultraman Shin Hayata, as the new Ultraman. One thing to note is that unlike its source material where Ultramen are primarily gigantic humanoid aliens, the Ultramen here are more akin to henshin heroes such as Kamen Rider and Metal Heroes wearing protective hi-tech armor. Also, volume 11 of the manga is scheduled to release on December 5th, 2017. source: http://heros-ultraman.com/ source 2: http://natalie.mu/comic/news/259034 |
It was only a matter of time. Good to see it happening.

Yep. Besides, I'm sure the Gridman anime will drop while we wait for this masterpiece. I can wait till 2019.

Nice. I hope we get Madhouse or Bones to animated to the show.

Oh heck yeah. I've only read a bit of this but it was good. The action was a bit hard to follow at times, but this should fix it.

They had a panel at Tokyo Comic-Con with a real suit. Damn, we need a live-action version now too!
