Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ep 15 "All Hail Prince Veker" Discussion and Poll
Prince Veker seems to be having some Daddy issues. So when the Emperor sends him a new weapon, the Armada Megazord, of course he wants to be the one to pilot it. With the Rangers taking the Skyship for a picnic, he attacks!
Veker vs the Power Rangers! Argus vs Blue Ranger! The Coming of Ultimate Legendary Megazord! Discuss Now! |
While it sucks we only saw Wolf Warrior and not the rest of the Extra Rangers (Kat Ranger, Blue Senturion, Magna Defender and Sentinel Knight), the rest of the episode was pretty awesome. Ultimate Legendary Megazord was badass and seeing Vekar get the axe was cool. Unfortunately, Mavro ain't gonna be too happy when he finds out his son's pushing up daisies.
Now we wait to see if Vrak will succeed where his brother failed... |
The episode was ok.

Of all the badly executed episodes this season, this wasn't the worst. Seeing Vekar go the way of the dodo is actually a sting because he was one of the FEW good things of Super Megaforce. It's a crying shame that they didn't do any new footage of Vekar and Vrak, which they probably could have easily done. Even a flashback scene would have been acceptable. The Noah/Argus battles weren't terrible either. It is noteworthy that while Argus used the "Solar Slash", Noah used "Radiant Saber". In Gokaiger, they were using the same move. Argus, or Barizorg, used to be human and a friend/mentor to GokaiBlue. However, the final battle between the two was slightly aggravating because when Noah uses the saber in physical contact with Argus, you can see some long and wavy black hair work into the scene. This was probably the hair of the actor who played Joe/GokaiBlue. It is cute to see how they covered what was likely intended to be alcohol usage during the flagship celebration as "Vortox Juice". This isn't the first time in PR when Sentai use of alcohol was overdubbed into something more benign. Having Orion become the Wolf Warrior was new footage (it was Marvelous in Gokaiger), and likely to cover the fact that Orion should be the ONLY Ranger to use Sixth/Extra Hero powers. I also think it was a nod to the actor who does Gosei, who previously did Koragg of Mystic Force, who would return to being his true self and become the Wolf Warrior. The Ultimate Legendary Megazord (which could use a more thought-out name) isn't the worst, but again, the Turbo Falcon retains "Super Sentai" and "Go-onger" on its tires, and the Ultimate Engine Cell retains "Kanzen Soul" as part of its design. This wasn't the absolute best, but like the previous episode, it wasn't the worst either.

I voted alright. Like everyone else seems to think, it wasn't the best episode but it wasn't the worst either. It was.. a thing. Yes, it was a thing.
|
I voted "Alright" because it wasn't good or bad.

It's sad when "meh" is really as good as this show gets.

For me? I haven't watched all of Gokaiger, and somehow I knew this was the Ultimate Zord episode... Which Is why I was already looking up the Zord, before it even came up. So, that was interesting... I guess?
Either way though. It was pretty meh. But, for Megaforce, and Super Megaforce? That is all we can hope for. I really wish they would introduce their own American Villian... All that stock footage is getting to me. |
