Tamashii Teases Next Heisei Riders Rising Reveal
1 Attachment(s)
The next issue of Figure Oh has just been teased with a censored cover. It's supposed to be the next S.H. Figuart revealed for the Heisei Riders Rising Project.
While we've been let down many times before, the timing, secrecy, the unseen 20th Rider Kicks ride watch stage, the massive build up of anticipation, and frankly what is clearly the moon on the background of this cover, would imply that this could very well be the long awaited Kamen Rider Kiva. No confirmation has been made at this time, Tamashii is playing this one very close to the vest. Confirmation one way or the other will be made officially on 10/24, when this cover is finally revealed in full. |
It has to be Kiva.
The idea with the cover is quite nice, but what would be really awesome is if they would sell this issue sealed with a slip-cover so you couldn't peek in stores. Could you imagine buying one, running home and removing the first cover to see Kiva underneath? Man that would be sweet. But the internet is a thing, so scans of the cover and the pages within will be out before the magazine even hits stores... kinda sucks honestly, even though scans are the only way for us non-Japanese people to see it, importing the magazine takes too long. Anyways, let’s get fully ahead of ourselves and discuss Kiva: Metal chains for the feet, a flying stand for Kivat, maybe an alternate expression for him, and a bat-shaped effect sheet please. This release has to be good after all this wait, so go all-in Tamashii! https://i.imgur.com/SheClMn.jpg |
Not even a Kiva fan but fuck it, I'll probably buy one if it looks good
|
Sad that I wont be able to afford it but it would be cool if Garulu, Basha, and Dogga get figures.

For those hoping it's Kiva I have a simple reminder for you.
|
Guys - I've tried to turn up the brightness of the picture a bit to see if we could get some clues as to who the mystery character is. You will not like what I found...

Final answer. Because Bandai hates us. |
Oh come on Bandai just show us Kiva already. All this tease is just a waste. The scans should drop on the 20 or 21 of this month so sometime this weekend.

The upturned 'horns' on what looks like the helmet can only mean one thing.
S.H. Figuarts Geiz Ghost Armour. |
Folks, it's not Kiva. It's gonna be the new S.H.C line-up and numero uno will be Fourze. S.H.C is a sub-category of the Figuarts brand that will be Figuarts but made out of 100% diecast. So we get a legit metal Fourze.

The falling rose petals in the Heisei Riders Rising promo pictures - placed right where a Shinkocchou Seihou Kiva figure would stand - cinched it for me. I suspect the image above is upside-down, WAKE UP Kiva, and the shape in the upper-right corner is the unfurled monster-bat leg. (If so, the blurred thing in the right corner is probably a chain.)
I think it goes without saying that we'll get a replacement part for the leg, as well as some character-specific hands. I'm less certain about how they'll handle the driver, and specifically the tiny fuestles. I'd really like for the figure to come with a violin, bow, and appropriate hands. I wouldn't expect him to come with the weapons specific to his alternate forms. (Huh. Kiva isn't even my favorite series, but I might actually be willing to buy an SS version of one of those forms.) Would a tiny Kivat make sense? For some reason, I can't recall whether Kivat ever came off the driver belt in that form. |

Maybe they can even work a tiny hinge into Kivat so you could actually stick a flute in his mouth. Or make him "gabu". Quote:

There are also rare occasions where Kivat flew off the belt to attack enemies, so it would be quite lame if they didn't do it. A flight stand like the one they included with the first run of Ghost would cool too. |
Kiva revealed on the 24th, a week before Halloween, and a day after other reasons is hilariously perfect. That's so them. xD Love it! Perfect timing.
Kiva will always hold a special place in my heart, and considering he's one of the other "King" riders. Seems rather perfect to have some focus on him. |

Now if only Halloween would fall on a full moon night for the trifecta. Or a blood moon. Speaking of Kiva in general, it's awesome to have so much focus on him via a toy special release. His show marked a birthday for Ishinomori, and Wataru was also the lead in for Decade in character interactions. Plus he did have a dragon upper form, and now they're doing a Dragon Sentai. |
It's Knight. It's gotta be Knight. Nothing else fits. I'm just curious why they'd do him before Ryuki.
Mind you, I'm not complaining... |
What we can see of the pose looks exactly like the beginning of Kiva's Darkness Moon Break kick sequence, but with his leg's bat-wings unfurled. Especially with the moon in the background.
God, I hope this isn't an obscenely expensive web-only release... EDIT: like this... http://otakuism.animeblogger.net/wp-...nap-210052.jpg EDIT 2: and this... http://ilarge.lisimg.com/image/16716...iva-poster.jpg This seems to be Kiva's signature pose, I guess. :lol |

I see Kiva's a pro at getting Thots to Begone. Cause that kick just screams BEGONE, THOT.

SH Figuarts Shinkoucchou Seihou OOO TaToBa :P
Goddamn I need to prepare my wallet because the figure is going to be expensive, Especially if Kiva is a Shinkoucchou Seihou line. |

Let's hope this isn't what it ends up being |

It's Kiva, I’m confident. The signs are clear and the timing is perfect. |

Are you people saying you don't want a renewal of Den-O?!

Sorta off topic would be funny if it turned out to be a Ryan Gosling figuarts from First Man. :lolol |

But it also better come with PR lingerie for him to wear too! |
Is the Den-O mold bad? AFAIK only OOO and maybe Faiz are the ones that needs the Shinkoucchou Seihou treatment.
|
I'm hyped for Shinkocchou Seihou Kiva (Emperor Form)!

That's like a child getting three wooden cubes glued together, each colored red, blue, and yellow and being told "Merry Christmas, it is the DX ZyuohKing you wanted!". Quote:

Den-O is a good figure, but he will look a bit out of place next to newer figures and especially Shinkoucchou Seihou's. Plus, the reissue is overpriced as hell and doesn't even include all of the original accessories, it's a cheap money grab. Ryuki, Faiz, Blade, Den-O, OOO & Fourze all need to be redone eventually. Out of the ones mentioned Blade and Fourze hold up the best (could still use a rework though), the rest is either faulty as a release or the figure is so outclassed by modern releases that they don’t work with them anymore. If you have these releases in your collection already then they are perfectly fine stand-ins, and as toys they won’t lose out to modern figures just because they don’t look as pretty, they still are lots of fun to pose around. But reissuing these old figures with a rather hefty price tag, without all of their accessories – you’re better of waiting for them to be redone properly. Unless you like the character that much and have the money to spare I would skip them. |

It's FINALLY coming:https://myfigurecollection.net/item/768308 No images, but this site is pretty accurate for releases. FINALLY SHINKOCCHOU SEIHOU BASE FORM KIVA!!

I also don’t know what sources these guys have that we don’t, the only "evidence" posted is the same teaser for the Figure Oh cover that started this thread. Seems like whoever made that page jumped to conclusions. They will be right eventually because I’m pretty sure that it is indeed Kiva, but I don’t see how this confirms anything. |
All that said, generally speaking everything Gaim-onwards is fine (barring the occasional QC slip-up, and of course the lack of accessories) and fits in perfectly with SS figures. The Gaim figures in particular are considered some of the best Figuarts iirc.
It's very fitting that Wizard is the first new figure under this line-up, since his original line was the last of the old guard in regards to Kamen Rider Figuarts. |
Quote:
Which reminds me I've somehow not posted about that yet. *ahem* WHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Kiva has persevered as my favorite Rider design and I cannot wait to finally see it. I'm so glad it's happening. |
I hope they release a renewed Dark Kiva while at it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these are on display at Tamashii Nations next weekend already, if they don’t save the reveal of Kiva himself for the show but instead give it to Figure Oh like this thread suggests then maybe they have additional stuff to display at their big event. |
