Minipla KingExpress
https://i.ibb.co/hFRr3C5/46-D36236-B...38-C64-BD9.jpg https://www.bandai.co.jp/candy/produ...465423000.html No sign of the Mashin weapons in this set. That’s weird. |
I want it.
But the quarantine will certainly make that difficult to get :lol |
Saw this blog post about adding glitter to the Kiraimeijin minipla to add to some extra sparkly-ness and it looks pretty good!

I kinda want to know the status of the Minipla Kiramaizin. Anyone who has it have any word on the quality of it? Does the clear/translucent parts feel overly soft or fragile? I wanna grab it, but that's what I'm worried about.
I'm not as concerned on Smog Jouki since he looks beefy, thankfully :lol |
I think I might be addicted to the Super Minipla line. Also, I tried out creating a 'standing-in-front-of-explosion" type of scene with the Astro Megazord and Sun Vulcan Robo. One of the things that I love about these kits, is how they scale rather nicely with the Transformers Siege and Earthrise lines.

That arm also has a bit of an issue in which the cab and the treads come apart a little too easily. It doesn't lead to full-blown arm-fall-off syndrome, but it's not great. Mashin Helico is the closest to having an issue because the (opaque) joint to turn it into Sky Mage is really tight, so the (clear) arms like to pop off while I'm trying to get that gollygoshdarned joint to move. There's also a dodgy design point: the wheels on Mashin Fire make it difficult to find a stable standing pose even if you've deployed the optional ankle joints. Fortunately, they can be popped off, which looks off from the side but is significantly more functional. The arms have relatively decent articulation, but tend to look super-awkward due to the where the joint cuts are. Those of the gem modes look dodgy. I'm a little sad that they determined so much of the design of this mecha. For the most part, I feel like Kiramazin is fine for what it is, although I doubt I'll be hanging onto this mecha once Kiramager comes to an end. |
recently got my first minipla the super minipla jet Icarus as i figured i would never be able to get the DX version
i think minipla might be my new go to for sentia mechs going forward even the non-super minipla versions look pretty good out of the box now did buy a jet garuda to go with Icarus and got the mega ranger delta and astro set might go back and get the lupinranger vs. patranger sets as well |

I hope this is the right place to ask this, but I recently bought the Super Mini-Pla kit for Galaxy Mega and was hoping one of you would know what paints or gundam markers would be best to detail him in lieu of stickers. They look good but I don't care to keep them, and I think something like this would be good to practice finer detail work. Thanks in advance!

VRV Minipla. Old kit, but got it for a great price.
Didn't do a full repaint, left the molded colors alone, but painted the details and used some of the stickers. https://i.imgur.com/GJyerFll.jpg |

Probably the best place to ask this, because I can't tell based on any images.
Are mini-pla closer to other candy toys like So-Do, or are they closer to actual models kits (basically should I get a model kit assembly pack before getting any Minipla) |

I don't use tool when building, parts can be separated from the sprue without tools, it is reallyconvenient and quite clean. If you go on the super minipla line, you will need tools to cut parts from sprue there. neoxul |
My Uchu Sentai Kyuranger Kyutama Gattai RyuTeiOh, first Mini-Pla ever. Fun to build, no tools nor glue needed.
Only flaw are the stickers. https://i.ibb.co/XbhcK7h/minipla-kyuranger01.jpg https://i.ibb.co/T4t4hxj/minipla-kyuranger02.jpg |
I just finished assembling the Muteki Shogun Robo Minipla and I wasn't crazy about the stickers that go on the arms of each Giant Beast General.
Should I paint them silver and black like the show and other depictions? Or should I paint them a chrome silver like the original DX toys? https://www.picclickimg.com/00/s/MTA...gazord-_57.jpg |
So uh....anybody have any idea where I might be able to find Daizyujin and Dragon Caesar for somewhat reasonable prices? I just can't justify spending $200+ on something that originally cost under $100...

Mandarake occasionally has some hard to find items for reasonable prices.
Problem is just that you have to scour them often, since things come and go. |

Do you have a link to the item? It might just mean its for in-store purchasing only.
Honestly, I don't think the prices are worth it. I'd wait for maybe a reprint or look at the Super Robot Chogokin version. |

But yeah, that's a high price lol. Do you think there's actually a possibility of a reprint? That would be ideal, but I don't want to hold out for a hypothetical reprint that never materializes while the option that's actually available to me becomes even further out of reach... |

Here's my minipla collection (plus a few others that I didn't care enough to move) |
We finally got a look at the Zenkaiser minipa
http://bandaicandy.hateblo.jp/entry/20210228_sentai https://cdn-ak.f.st-hatena.com/image...0217173558.jpg The blog also shows the Yu-Do figure. They look better, but obviously lack the transformation and combination forms. |
You can't just leave it there when Minipla have provided the best-looking Zenkaiohs yet!

Those definitely look great but at what cost!
The individual robos in the humanoid form look like little pogo sticks. Not being able to split the legs really ruined the Minipla for me. Also, the the combined forms use optional parts-swapping for the feet which makes me think it will be unstable without them. I commend Bandai for attempting a triple change Minipla but these look rough. Especially right next to the Yu-Do counter parts. I might have to wait and watch a few of the episodes to determine if I want the Minipa or the Yu-Do. It's funny how getting both sets would feel like a double dip. I picked up the Yu-Do and the Minipla for Kiramager. |
The combined forms look great but I kinda hate the ranger versions. I think I may be skipping these. Oh well, my wallet doesn't mind.
Those Yu-do, on the other hand, are looking nice. |
I'm in the opposite boat. lol. I don't really care for the Yu-do but I do like the way the combined modes look with the minipla. Might end up getting them though maybe I should try and track down kirameiger too.

Magine and Vroon look like they got one leg and Zyuran and Gaon look like they got one leg but two toes. :lolol
|
You know what? I'm surprised they didn't make the Yu-Do set based on the human forms. I don't know what we're calling all the different forms but I mean this one: http://ukiyaseed.weebly.com/uploads/...ih88f_orig.jpg (Untransformed? Civilian?)
I think if they did that, I would have been more inclined to pick up the Yu-Do and the Minipla together. |
