After watching the ep with subs, I'll revise my judgment about the ep.
Without really knowing what the conversation are and only the visuals, you would think we're in a case of victim of the week. I thought many talks were about the sushi chef and the robot, but they weren't. There was only very few about it. Just enough to give a concrete setting to the situation. But it was more an episode about the place of humagear in the society and the different pov you can have about them (Aruto accepting them almost as humans, Yua seeing them as useful tools, and the Chef thinking they lack that special thing that makes humans humans) In that regard it's understandable to do such an episode very early. And the theme developped is quite deep even though "simple" in appearance. And next week we might be full plot again so yay. Also : Aruto : "Am I the only one thinking Humagears might have a heart ?" oh. so you mean that humagears might have a hidden heart, HIDEN ARUTO-san ? ... ... Now that's... a show by Omnikaiser ! Puns can be flexible.

And more importantly, Aruto is supposed to be bad at puns! It fits!!

Okay, so my few observations!
The suits being a bit more modular rather than mostly new get ups saves money that seems to be doing two things: 1. Allowing for lightweight combat versions that lends to better fight choreography and 2. Allowing that saved cash to go toward CGI - Because, so far, it's a good cut above Neo Heisei standards. Re: fight choreography: loving the integration of puroresu moves!! Too fun! Story was good, moving right along. Dashing Cheetah was frickin awesome and I loved her belt jabber!! Aruto isn't bothering me as much as I thought he might but, maybe I've stopped caring and just accepted the goofy factor in Rider. |

Decent episode, love the fight choreography in this show so far, especially the way they highlight Valkyrie's fighting style in this ep.
I'd prefer they take it slow and tell us more about how the society at large (outside of the core characters) perceive the Humagear; I'd assume that there would be the significant issue of robots taking over the jobs of human beings? Or maybe this show's version of Japan already has a significantly declined population due to the ongoing population growth issue, making robot labor force a necessity... |
