Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog 'Dx' Rohan Gallery
28 Attachment(s)
Fire within me!
We're back with another gallery featuring Bandai of America's 1998 Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog line and this time we're taking a look at the 8 inch Rohan, Mystic Knight of Fire. Simply put, everything that the 5 inch Mystic Knights do (you can check out the gallery of 5" Rohan here) the 8 inch figures do better. Rohan features 21 points of articulation, has 18 pieces of removable armor, and comes with The Sword of Kells, a smaller sword, an axe, a Dragon's Breath Dagger, dagger sheath, and a shield. Unlike the 5 inch version, this larger Rohan's shield cannot clip into DX Pyre's chest. Somehow, the designer's managed to accurately capture all of the gorgeous designs and details of the on-screen armor in this figure. Due to the way the chest armor and skirt pieces connect together, the hip/thigh articulation of the figure is not hindered that much. All of the armor pieces attach very securely to the figure and although there are some noticable seams, it holds together well. I would easily recommend the 8 inch versions of the Mystic Knights over their 5 inch counterparts, however, there are two drawbacks. First, it's extremely difficult to find one loose, complete, and for a reasonable price on the secondary market. Secondly, only Rohan, Angus, and Ivar were made in the 8 inch scale, leaving completionists pining for an in-scale Deidre. In the end though, the 8 inch Rohan is the best representation of the Knight of Fire that you can get and I highly recommend it to fans of Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog, the suits, or just American Toku in general. |
Guy gives me a Shredder feel with that helmet. I really need to go watch this... Looks awesome

Hmm.. Goseiger, Iron King, or Tir Na Nog for the next LWW...
Cus this is really damn cool. |
I never knew what the heck this stuff was. Ever.
Yet I remember it so well... always staring at them in toy catalogs and thinking just how darn cool they look. And they still do. I would have never remembered - or even ever learned what they were - if it weren't for you starting galleries on them. Thank you for that. :) |
I remember having the Ivar and Angus action figures when I was a kid. I loved the Mystic Knights series, I wish it went longer.

Bandai of America made this? That's hard to believe solely because of all the paint apps, and how screen accurate it is. Makes me wish I would've paid more attention to the show and the line.
