Kamen rider ghost eyecon choices?
Is anyone else confused by the historical figures they chose for the heroic eyecons?I mean for example why are edison, beethoven, billy the kid, newton, tutankhamun and brothers grimm there? They are not heroes especially Billy the kid. I mean they are famous, but I tdon't see how that makes them heroes.

The term "Heroic Eyecons" is kinda misleading. For the show itself they only reference to the souls residing within the Eyecons as humans whose life’s "shined bright" and made an impact on the world.
So it's not about them being heroes, it's about them achieving something great or simply being a person which is remembered for his/her actions today, even long after they died. Also, friendly reminder: We have a "Kamen Rider General Questions"-topic, which is perfect for one single question like this which won’t really spark discussion enough to warrant its own topic. |
I think it would just allow them to create interesting forms such as a cowboy, a pharaoh, an electricity form, and a gravity form.

I got idea for "Heroic" Eyecon
Let have Walt Disney Eyecon and his power will be paint brush! Get it? Because he is animator! Ha ha ha ha :D How about Howard Hughes Eyecon! His power will be transform into all different type of Airplanes! Michael Jackson Eyecon?! His power will be DANCE! Billie Jean is not my lover! |
They are heroes because they are people who achieved great things in their field whom we admire and draw inspiration from. They are people whom we use as examples and compare with great modern achievements. The Einstein of our generation. The Edison of our generation A great revolutionary mind like Sakamoto.
You don't need to have martial ability to be great and to be considered a hero. Also, Columbus is there for some reason. |
What Ridersen said. The term used in the show, "Eiyuu" actually means hero less in the sense of superhero or warrior, but rather in the sense of someone achieving great things. The "ei"- part literlly means something great and glorious and is also used in words for good reputation or genius/ great mind.
While the connotation is positive and kind of a stretch for Billy The Kid, it still works with most of the icons. |
