I notice we don't really have a thread dedicated to Korean Power Rangers. Usually they just dub Saban's Power Rangers, or more recently Super Sentai since Abaranger. But now that they are releasing an original Power Rangers series I thought we could use a thread to discuss the Korean side of things. I also pondered where to put this. Power Rangers? Super Sentai? Other? Well they call it Power Rangers in South Korea so naturally it should go here.
Anyways I thought we could discuss how exactly the Power Rangers brand functions in South Korea. Like history, continuity, toys, etc. I can't find a single website about Korean Power Rangers online unlike Super Sentai and Saban's Power Rangers. Are there any fans from South Korea or elsewhere that's familiar with this aspect of the franchise? Would love to learn more. Also RangerWiki doesn't have much regarding South Korea adaptations. Just states the name of each season. |
The reason why we don't have a thread is really just because we don't have a way to watch. Episodes are sparse, toys aren't really unique molds, and there just isn't anything to discuss because they tend to just be dubbed Sentai...
