OFFICIAL Kamen Rider Ghost Thread
The other thread was locked for an unreliable source, but the rumors of a Fashion theme for our next Kamen Rider may have some credence after all. http://www.jefusion.com/2015/05/kame...es-is.html?m=1
In an earlier post by Jefusion(who we debunked earlier) the sourced quotes were from members of 2chan, this included FIqyFr3nB, who had previously provided rumors for Kamen Rider Drive's Type DeadHeat, Type Formula, and Kamen Rider Chaser. Quote:
Update 5-26 http://news.tokunation.com/wp-conten...-Trademark.png We have our trademark! And unless there's some clever naming scheme, this seems to debunk the fashion rumors. |
Fashion themed? I heard it was going to be a card theme. But then, none of this is most likely true. I'm not even sure how a fashion themed series would even work. But then, I'll take anything after Drive. God I wish that show as ending already.
|
Let me reiterate what I said in the same news thread that used JeFusion source for the rumor:

There's a way I can take this theme and twist it into a pony related pun.
But I'm not really feeling it. So fashion pone. https://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2...o3-d5m0suy.png |
I know you like using ponies for reaction stuff now but man cut down the size of it, not everyone is a fan and this is primarily a toku forum.
Keeping on topic. Fashion themed is quite an interesting one, it's not something usually marketed towards boys. I feel like it's going to be the same as the dancing in Gaim in that it'll serve as a backdrop as opposed to the theme of the suit and belt. But in saying that it might also be a theme in that parts of the suit will change as if changing clothes, a bit like OOO in a way. For example maybe different shoes could result in different Rider Kicks. |
Fashion sounds like a really good idea for the gimmick line as well. The Tire Koukan series is cool but it just doesn't stack up to, say, outfitting figures with an entirely new set of armor or swapping torsos and heads and all of that other stuff.

No boy want to watch or buy Kamen Rider Victoria's Secret Model! It will lose Boy audience! Toei! Why Fashion?! It's Girl underwear |

Although still unconfirmed rumours at this point I would hope that suits look really stylish if the motif fits around fashion.
Also I would like to see scarfs back again. |

Agreed too. |

This is Kamen Rider; the show that made rings cool for most people. Plus fashion is a broad term and what we consider fashionable differs from what people all over the world find fashionable. If it means getting a main Rider with a scarf that's not Gou then sign me up! Change isn't something to be feared but celebrated. We're not the G1 TF fandom. For the most part we welcome how different each Rider is, from Gaim's fruit armor to W's simple yet effective look. In the immortal words of Dwayne McDuffie "wait and see" You might just like what you see. |

Also Galvantua, oh my god you made me wonder if scarves could make a return to a main rider again if fashion is the main theme! Actually I'd love it if one of the main interchangeable parts was the scarf. |

I think fashion could be an interesting way to go about it, in all honesty. There is a lot of potential that could be found in the world of fashion.
It would be a great time to put a scarf back on the main rider, as well! And speaking of scarves~ Quote:

"Fashion" is most certainly not "girl underwear." I can't imagine how any human being would make that assumption. |
Honestly, I'm on-board with this idea 100%. However, I have heard a further crazy rumor that the main driver is a curtain, and you slip in buttons behind the curtain for the gimmick powers. Not on board with that one. But, to be honest, it'd be hard to make a gimmick for this, even if it demands it.
But further rampant fan-speculation: what would the monsters be like? Are they punks? Do they have no fashion sense whatsoever? Are their designs going to be so revolting, that it'd be a crime not to destroy them? Or will they all be uniform? A kind of army comprised of very similar monsters, and the rider is one with a fashion sense so powerful, he stands opposed to their uniform uniforms. But even further rampant speculation! What are the chances of a female rider in this series? Well, given the fact that some folks seem to think that fashion is a girly-girl thing, it might be a girl. Here's to hoping. |

said this before in the KR questions thread
but we already have KR involving belts bucklers scarves capes rings (tire) sashes It's safe to say Kamen Rider is ALREADY fashion themed. |

Oh hot damn it's that time of year when we start throwing crap at the wall and seeing what sticks! Okay, okay.
No, not fashion. He'll be Baking Themed. Kamen Rider Bisuketto! His weapon is the Cookie Shield and SpatulaCalibur, and his bike is the DeliveryGoGo! The delivery bike from his dayjob at SunYummy Bakery! |

...I love your idea. |

Yes. That's exactly what they'll be. :lolol |

Also, the out-of-suit outfits of riders are usually high-fashion too (I recommend checking out the tumblr tokukei, if you're interested in that... yes, even Eiji's clothing style has a particular name). Also, that's why rings didn't seem so weird: Rider actors usually have tons of accessory and especially all kinds of jewellry. There's only few who don't wear rings and necklaces. It mirrors pretty well how Japanese males like to dress, so I don't think it would be a problem for boys to have a show about that. I think a fashion theme should work very well in Japan, as long as Toei and Bandai make some cool toys and a decent show out of it. |
If Toei and Bandai are smart, assuming this rumor ends up being totally true, then the rider would have a completely different belt for each form. If it's fashion-themed, changing accessories, belt included, would make a lot of sense for each form.
Plus it's instant cash. The fanbase would be buying more than two or three belts per season. It'd be two or three belts per rider. |

Not too long ago (about a week or so) there was an image of a copyright entry for a 'Kamen Rider Layered(仮面ライダーレイヤード)' which seems to fit the whole fashion rumor.
But(notice how I am bolding this), seems like it is fake because the so-called copyright code in the image cannot be found when looked up on the site that deals with such things. If they can pull off fruits and locks I am sure Bandai can pull off clothes hangers and buttons(heck, they made a henshin device out of sushi and burgers), but for now I will wait. |

Seriously guys last year Jefusion thought Drive would be a magical painter. Until there's ACTUAL information to go off of, this is just discussion of an almost assuredly fake rumor.
|
And I think for Gaim's year, they thought that it'd be a CD/Breakdancing themed rider. Perfectly valid idea, but not what happened.
Le sigh. we can still dream, right? |
