lol...Juto Dog actually became a Ranger and formed the zord with them. I'm surprised it did not cause any problems. It being chaotic and the many instances Rangers hit each other, our heroes did not seem faze by Inu shooting at them xD
The question is how did Tsubasa get free? Was it Sononi? Crane? Or did he just get free himself... |
INOUE YOU MAD MAN

The writer of faiz, Inoue really have fun making a wacky show while dragging things out trolling frustrated fans with all the bait and switch like with tsubasa revelation and finally joining the team. It would be awful if they retcon Natsumi where she used both tsubasa and kijino. If that is the case, then predicting they both would be friends again competing for the love of the real person the crane juto is based on in the future. Thought it would happen during the episode where the singer mistook her for someone else. The cast are great, but inoue is not known to write good happy or open ending. |
Well, this was certainly a packed episode, I can hardly think of anything to describe it with, so much happened to the point where I'll just skip straight to my thoughts on the episode. I already knew that ever since the short break of "filler" episodes, that Inoue had been dropping several plot-filled episodes, but this was a new high, there was barren a dull moment, and yet the episode didn't feel rushed.
Also, I love that Inoue will never do an actual rolecall in this series until presumably the final episode or so (aside from the special and from what I've heard the movie, as well), though aside from that, there's the question over who it was that freed Inuzuka, but having a new question after every episode is common for Inoue :lol. And I'll just say it again, this was such a good episode, all of these plot-filled episodes that we've gotten recently have just been so great, and I hope that they continue to be on this level of quality. |
I've got a weird feeling I can't shake off about this show all of a sudden. For a long time since early on, I've really been enjoying the wild ride of Donbrothers, and on top of the whackiness, my favourite parts have always been seeing the characters' giant personalities bounce off one another.
But now three quarters of a year in, I think the shine of it has kinda been wearing off on me... Every time they actually confront the 'plot' itself, its been a little lackluster for me because it's been 50/50 on whether or not it'll actually matter in the long run. The amusing contrivances of the characters being so disconnected from one another's ongoing stories doesn't really tickle me anymore because I really want them to interact with one another in a meaningful way. Also I used to think it was really funny how utterly inconsequential and shoehorned in the Hitosuki and the fight/mecha scenes with them are, but now I'm just a little bitter at how they're blatant time-wasting distractions... I guess in sum, I'm sadly at the stage where the rambunctiousness and whackiness of the show has gotten a bit stale for me? And I'm hoping the rest of the run provides at least a decent amount of like, pathos or character moments! (It's an Inoue show so I'm already accepting in advance that the resolutions of the ongoing plots will all be a whole lot of nothing) |
Turns out Inuzuka was kind of right about Miho not existing, albeit not in the way he originally thought. Miho is brought to life as a persona of the Crane Jyuto, but her dreams and her emotions are all Natsumi's. Just like Natsumi, the Crane is an actor, a method actor, while Miho is the character she plays. Does that mean Miho isn't real though? I think that's a matter of perspective. She's definitely real to Kijino, she's his wife and his motivation to be a better man. But how much of Miho is acting, compared to reality? Either way, Sononi is basically a foreshadowing machine for this entire subplot, so this is probably going to suck for both Kijino and Inuzuka.
Pretty cool how GolDon Momotarou can equip his armor on Avatar Changes, as shown here with Zyuoh Eagle! Now I want to see him use it on Ryusoul Red! I recall someone mentioned somewhere else that the GolDon armor is very likely a reference to the sunlit water that appears when Don Momotarou morphs. I previously speculated about the thematic relevance of this as a metaphor for Tarou's personality, so I think it makes a lot of sense for sure. His light is so strong that it can reach even the hearts of his predecessors! I couldn't quite understand Sonoza relaying Sonoi's written message just by watching the RAW, but I'm sure I'll love it even more when watching with the full context! My main complaint about ToraDra Onitaijin was the imbalance between the small right arm and the heavy left arm. Fortunately, ToraDra Onitaijin Kiwami resolves this problem by moving Don Robogokuu's head to extend the right arm and make way for the Omikoshi Phoenix chestplate, so now it looks more even. Makes me think that the former Gattai was reverse-engineered. Quote:
