For what it is, I think they did a pretty good job with the Megazord! The lack of ZB ports just makes it more screen accurate and that's a good thing to me :)
This I may actually pick up. Not all that impressive, but it's an adequate representation. Plus I think I might actually enjoy Dino Charge enough to grab some DC/Kyoryuger merch.
So glad Bandai brought Dino Charge to America.
Minus the fact that Stego has no shield and Tricera can't flip its drill horns, its a very well put together megazord this year.
I'll admit I'm bummed over the lost of the electronics, part of why Kyoryujin was so cool but the bulk of what makes these toys fun is still here and at a price point that's affordable too!
I see a lot of happy kids with this big beefy fellow. |
This definitely looks quite a bit better than the Legendary Megazord. I was pretty hesitant to pick this up after the disappointment of the Legendary Megazord, but this review might have convinced me! Outside of the lack of paint apps, it does seem to be one of the best BOA Megazords in recent memory.
Great toy! Just wish it came with pink and blue chargers!
I love it! But I wish that it had the sheild and that the arms were attached with ZordBuilder ports not clips.
Definitely on the fence for this. I hope to start watching Kyoryuger soon, so I might end up getting it.
Good to hear that the megazord is actually a decent on this time around. And that box artwork is great! I wonder who BOA got to do it for them
Looking at both Kyoryuzin and the Megazord, it's honestly better than I expected. Considering how I've put off buying some of the previous zords in favor of their japanese counterparts, I might actually get this. I'm probably going to put it off until after they reveal the other megazords though.
This looks like a great way to get kyoryujin for those who do not want to import, to bad I live in norway.
I quite like the look of this Zord in general, and I think the look translated quite well to this figure. Quite impressed.
I actually like the smaller zords compared to BoJ, and the fact Gabu/T-Rex's jaw can stay open is a big plus for me personally. That little stego is adorable.
Unsure about this one. It is a very cool looking megazord and they haven't really taken that much from it to turn it from Kyoryujin into the megazord but I think I need to see the other zords before I can really judge it completely; some of the past megazords have really been let down by the peripheral zords or megazord combinations.
I can't wait to get my hands on one. Should make for a great combo with the Legacy Megazord/Dragonzord and all the other Zord Builder toys we'll be getting shortly.
For the Price this one is selling it looks better than expected. Just a few things like the legs and the tricerazord having to keep the horns on its head dont look very appealing.
Glad I decided NOT to try for the Kyoryuger toys.
These are smaller and thus better for my limited space! |
Hmm, this doesn't look too bad, but I'm probably going to go through mu usual route- not buy any of them, even if I really like them, like the Q-Rex or, probably, the Plezu-Zord.
Man this is looking pretty awesome, and factoring in the price difference a solid competitor to Kyoryuzin imo
Whether I actually get it or not will likely depend on the UK's pricing strategy: if I go for it, I'll likely want to go all-out, but if the auxiliary zords are too expensive I may end up forgoing the whole range, as I'd just not be able to have as much fun without the limb-swapping personally |
This doesn't look half bad. I'm still not that big a fan of the smaller size of the Megazords compared to the older ones, but the Zord Builder gimmick is something that could eat my wallet, seeing how much fun I have with building things...
I already picked up the figure myself and overall I'm happy with it for the price point. I think my favorite part is the slimmed down tail piece, but it raises 2 concerns in my mind:
-when you split open the tail, there are two joint slots at the base on either side. I hope this is for the Dino Charge version of Raiden Kyoryujin, allowing the tail to snap onto the back. I worry that they'll use these joints for the tail headdress of Gigant Kyoryujin, making it sit flattened on the combined mode's head: less show accurate and still as ridiculous-looking. -the smaller tail means less junk sticking out of the back of Bakuretsu Kyoryujin (my fav combo), but the hips of the Tyranosaurus Rex Zord are now shifted back from where they were for Gabutyra since the Tyrano's hips don't compress into its legs. I worry about if this will affect the Bakuretsu Kyoryujin combo in Dino Charge |
Got mine and love love love it. A big improvement on the legendary megazord in my opinion. GABU GABU!
Another year, another hole in my wallet. Can't wait to buy this Megazord and the rest when they hit my stores here in NY
It's a nice set. Great pictures too. I just wish it had a little more sound effects built in.
Want this thing so bad, i can't wait to start my affordable kyoryuger collection.
Honestly, this looks like the best Bandai America Megazord in years. Not really a Power Rangers or Sentai fan though, and I've got a moral rule about not buying toys from series I've got no connection with.
Not too big a of Kyoryuger, but I still love me some Kyoryujin! This is a must buy for me. :)
The T-Rex legs look really skinny, were they like that on Gabutyra, too?
I'm surprised they kept the battery gimmick.
The Megazord actually has 7 zord builder ports. The legs in T-Rex mode are on zord builder pegs, then the other 5.
Does anyone have a size-comparison photo with Kyoryujin? Did I miss that somewhere?
I know Baltmatrix made a comparison video comparison video that includes the combined forms
I don't have a Kyoryujin figure at all and this toy doesn't look half bad. I might pick one up when it eventually goes on sale.
Watching Shukuen's review of the Para and Raptor zords, and they're cool.
I'm also seeing how Gigant Kyoryuzin will work. Hey Balt, can we get a pic of of the Parazord plugged into the shoulder of the Dino Charge Megazord? |
The dino charge line is looking great, just hope I can find them in NYC sooner or later
Not a bad looking set! Dricera doesn't look bad.
Not bad honestly, none of the missing details from the Japanese version seems unforgivable. And hey, the tail backpack looks smaller which is a plus.
wait...how is lack of paint a good thing?
I honestly like this better than the BoJ version. All my friends who own it said the clips broke on theirs and I really would love to not worry about that.
