legacy psycho rangers
1 Attachment(s)
Hello all, Im at toyfair London & managed to sneak just a little shot of these :o
Cheers! |
Hot damn those actually look pretty good. As someone whose been very put off by Legacy figures these are some of the only ones I'd likely buy. So I can't wait to see how the paint apps don't come across in the final products.
|
Color me excited~
|
They look fine but the lack of articulation is distressing. Of course I don't even know if those colors are accurate. Maybe Psycho Red and Blue may end up with purple or pastel.
Also there is no way Bandai is putting on those silver dots for final purchase. |

Rotating forearm and shin is what I mean. Basically those features missing in this latest wave. |
While I think the Psycho Rangers look great, there are two things that kind of bug me about these.
1. It really stinks that these figures get their individual weapons, yet the other rangers in the Legacy line do not (except for the 6th Ranger which each get their own "exclusive" accessory...) I kind of wish they would just ditch the build-a-megazord gimmick because most of the megazords look cheap since it apparently costs too much fully paint them with even basic paint applications. At least that way we would get rangers that felt complete. 2. From the beginning I always questioned the idea of making Pyscho Rangers before we've even tackled the other Power Rangers series. Don't get me wrong, the Psycho Rangers are popular, but if Bandai is going to go out of their way to make other figures outside of the seasonal ranger teams, than why not make really prominent villains like Lord Zedd, Rita, Astronama, Elgar, Divatox, Ecliptor, Goldar, King Mondo etc. My biggest fear is that for one reason or another this line fails and we're left with few full teams, rangers cherrypicked from other seasons and a random villain team of Pycho Rangers... |
So like, do they count as actual rangers?
|
The Psycho Rangers are a cost saving toy.
Psycho Red/Black/Blue are all exactly the same mold. It's only the color that changes. They don't need to make various molds for the helmets. I think that's been informing so their choices. Why Ninja Storm hasn't been completed. Why MMPR Metallics was thing. The monster though would require real effort and would each need to be an individual mold. BOA values saving a buck over the brands. BOA is they do care about this line needs to reassure fans but unscrewing up their mess. |
I only have 3 Legacy figures, but best believe I'm getting these guys no matter what the quality is like.
|
Man I'm normally someone who only buys female ranger figures, but goddamn I think these are both a) a team I'm gonna have to get the whole set of and b) one of my exceptions to my not buying BoA stuff rule :p
|
Hey am I seeing things, but are these guys less muscley then the other Legacy figures?
