Will the kyoryuger toy line mech be problematic in the zordbuilder line
What I mean by the title is that this toy line of kyoryuger in mecha is how are they going to incorrperate that with the zord builder system.
|
I'm sure Bandai'll find a way...
|
I'm more curios about Go-Busters. Specifically, Ace.
|
i think theyre either going to massively compromise the figures to accomodate the zord builder system or they may just do away with it. Im just praying to god they dont repeat the horrendous RPM megazords, the ports they used were abysmal
|
The ports on the RPM megazord were weak, but the figures themselves were some of best down-sized mecha for US markets. Especially after the Operation Overdrive mess.
I don't see Kyoryuger being a threat to Zord Builder. They'll drop the batteries so there'll just be joints hanging off of Gabutyra's chin and butt with standard ports in the mouths of all the arms. Possibly a port or plug on Gabutyra's side for Pteragordon. Maybe even ports in his feet for Plezuon and Bragigas's attachments. There's tons of places that they can use zord builder joints instead of clips. Go-Busters is gonna be a mess, though. If they try to use zord builder, I expect to see a bunch of extraneous and ugly plugs in weird places like what happened Super Megaforce Megazord's shins & arms. Dropping zord builder is a possibility, but I thought reaction from both new fans and old was incredibly positive. |
In a word yes. I understand that choking is a real threat since some kids are dumb enough to put things that aren't food in their mouths, so the battery gimmick is out. Having built in ports would work, but in the end it'll not work out as well as we would like to hope for.

No idea. But they've got roughly 2 years of Power Rangers to get it done.
Notice I said 'done' and not 'right'. |

Kids are kids. They learn not to put things that's not food in their mouths by first putting things that's not food in their mouths. |
Chances are is that they'll use the designs and totally rebuild all the mechs to work with their system. The toy has to pass the standards of a kids toy here, while in Japan it obviously is more engineering freedom.

Two, as small as they are making the Ranger Keys, I see no problem in making the batteries a bit bigger, we all know how gimmicks are nowadays, so I dont see how BoA will give it up. |
