Rider Series: Kamen Rider Starc
Theme: Tarot Cards, Celebrities Key Item: Fate Cards Ten years ago, the earth was invaded by an alien army called the Geddon. While they posed a serious threat to humanity, salvation soon came from the Geddons rivals, the Arcana. The Arcana gave humans devices called Fate Cards that transformed them into Tarot card themed Kamen Riders to fight off the Geddon. Soon, the Geddon leaders fled the earth. The Arcana followed them, leaving the Fate Cards with their closest human ally, Masumi Kido, in case they were needed on earth again. Not long after, more Geddon monsters began appearing seemingly from nowhere. Masumi gave the Fate Cards to new Riders amd decided to document their fight against these monsters. These "documentaries" quickly made Masumi rich and famous, giving him to idea to create the Fate Fighter reality show. Each season, aspiring stars and performers would become Riders and fight the Geddon on television, competing with each other to gain fame and glory. This year however, one of the Riders is seeking more than just fame. Kenta Tatsumi knows that there's more going than most people think and that something sinister is at works behind the scenes. As Kamen Rider Starc, he attempts to investigate the creators of the show, find the truth behind the Geddon and recruit as many other Riders as he can to help expose the true villains. Inspired by William Hartnell's doctor who's dumentary, (An Adventure in Space and Time) , doctor who's van gogh episode, and Hesei Generation Forever meta story,
I want that someday, there's an actor who play as Shotaro Ishinomori that invited to future+kamen rider universe, and meet the current Kamen Rider (in my mind, Saber would suit it best since he is an author too, but oh well) |

His friends are tomboy girl Mirai Kamigawa whose rider form, Kamen Rider Winger is based on the phoenix and guy athlete Kazuo Oogami whose rider form, Kamen Rider Velzion is themed after the wolf. Besides that, he also has a nerdy friend named Shaun Kobayashi (son of the SPENCER Team founder) who has no rider form but can use a gun to help fight Drathmok and his evil legion. Mirai received her powers after retrieving a blank Magi Key and focusing on her will/resolve to fight, giving her the power of the sky (phoenix). Kazuo on the other hand received his powers from a Magi Key that was glowing at night. This Magi Key gaver him the power of the moon (wolf). Kizo is based on the sun (and other elements), Velzion is based on the moon and Winger is based on the sky where you can see the sun and the moon. |

Reiwa's got a new rider called Revice! And the best fusion for that is.... FAIZ!
Revice + Faiz = Kamen Rider Fuzor Immortal |
I've been thinking more about the "new remodeled human" idea (from way back on page 4 of this thread and also this other thread about why the remodeled human trope has been fading from Kamen Rider lately), and I've come up with a concept I think has potential. It's a little like Ex-Aid without the videogame aspect.
Running forward to the future, it's the bionic Rider, Kamen Rider Sprint! Our main rider is Kamen Rider Sprint (no surprise there), a former motocross racer who lost the use of his legs in a crash that ended his career, which left him in a deep depression, feeling like he had no reason to live. As if that wasn't bad enough, his injuries became infected with a virus that causes the victim to merge with nearby machines and become a monster called an Invector (a combination of "invent" "infect" and "vector" as in a disease vector). He's saved from his monster form by the secondary rider, who recruits him into Saisei (Japanese for "rebirth), an organization dedicated to protecting humanity from the Invector virus. Since our hero has been exposed to the virus already, he's now a perfect candidate to become a Kamen Rider himself, and Saisei rebuilds his legs with advanced bionics (and provides him medicine to keep the side-effects at bay) in exchange for him fighting for them. The series collectables are Medichips, computer chips created by Saisei to aid in curing Invected. When used in a driver, they boost the rider's bionics with powers based on various medical tools and technologies. Sprint's main Medichip is the Splint Medichip (which he also chose his rider name based on), which greatly strengthens bionic limbs, and his bionic location is his lower legs. Even with the Splint Medichip, his bionic legs often take quite a beating during battle, so Saisei provided him with a specially designed vehicle, the Support Wheeler, which can transform between a dirt bike to let him put his old motocross skills to use and a wheelchair to help him get around when his legs need repairing. The secondary rider is Kamen Rider Blink, the former head of a swordsmanship school who was blinded in a tournament by a rival fighting dirty. Like Sprint - and all other riders in this series - his injuries were infected by the virus, although he actually managed to restrain his Invector form long enough for non-riders to defeat and cure him. Because the infection was too close to his brain, it wasn't possible to fully restore his sight, but he has a visor-like bionic implant that allows him some amount of vision (and in rider form it replaces the traditional bug eyes). He acts as a mentor figure to Sprint and the other less experienced riders. His main Medichip is XRay, which enhances his visor and lets him easily identify an enemy's weak points, and he wields the Shiroken, a white guidance cane that can be enhanced with the Scalpel Medichip to make it work like an ultra-sharp sword. I'm still working out the details about the other riders, but I know their names: Voice and Echo, twin sisters who used to be idol singers, and Scar, who had one side of his body badly burned. And the big reveal is that the Invector virus was artificially created, by a scientist who used to be partners with the head of Saisei Labs. They were trying to find a way to make bionic implants integrate more easily with the patient's body (which is both why Invectors merge with machines and why those who recover from the virus are able to become Kamen Riders), the one who became Saisei's leader wanted to use bionics to heal people who were hurt, but their partner decided this technology should be used to "weed out the weak" and used it to create the virus that enters people's bodies through existing wounds (not necessarily disabling ones, most victims have much more "everyday" injuries) and turns them into Invectors. |
I'm, like, a month late on saying this, but this would make for an awesome series! I really like the direction you take the "new remodeled human" theme of old and turned it into something that's a bit more common nowadays, real, and still gives it something that can be hopeful for the future of technology helping the disabled and something of a awareness for people with these disabilities and how they affect their lives.
...Also, I just think it's really cool. Like, this might sound messed up, but I like the idea of Sprint's legs getting messed up in his fights. It gives the action a bit more weight. And I'm a sucker for characters that have a high emphasis on their kicks. |
