^ Just a thought for those who didnt watch the live stream or are waiting for the subs. Next time use a spoiler tag please for others who aren't so fortunate.
So thoughts on the end of this series..... it wasn't what I expected. I find it interesting that there was no discernable way to actually defeat Dogranio. He took literally everything the combined power of the collection pieces could throw at, and no luck. And the conundrum at the end for Keiichiro to either destroy him and destroy the friends that he let into his solid blue policeman heart was decent. I didn't quite figure out the whole Goody turns into powered form to get them out through the book deal. Although we knew the book was a huge McGuffin. I'll wait for the subs on that one. So...we're back to square one? Just how many Lupin collection pieces are there? Is he really just a Transformers collector in disguise? Or a super otaku of all things Sentai? Is there no end to the Mob? Or are they just trying to find and free their boss? Also, is it that they just want to find all the pieces to make Noel's wish come true? Or do they just really enjoy the chase? Really they could have been absolved through the logic of defeating Dogranio in assistance of the police, or even helping to solve the case of missing people frozen. But it wasn't so tidy. Maybe they're saving that for the cinemas. Or just because it would pretty much clear the purpose of needing the Lupins. I absolutely love the use of the Lupins' family/freed ones becoming Phantom Thieves themselves. And dare I say it...Aya....rowr...... That last scene between Kairi and his brother was the entire season worth of feelings. So yeah, it was a season of a lot of goofy episodes topped onto a premise that should have stolen our attention but just kind of missed the point of it all. |
That was Jackpot Striker from the En Film movie, basically he can control a Gangler he is in the safe of. As to where he was since the film till now IDK I guess that is a V-cinema involving the other Lupinrangers

It's like dekaranger. There are so many remnants of villains and Arsene might gave some away to his mistresses. Anyway, the return is another kyuranger and the upcoming specials are a bit zyuoh gokaiger anniversary aspect, so unknown if they'll do a real closure. I was kind of expecting a downer with the three loves ones getting more screen time as the new trio. Was kind of pointless if Noel can track down jackpot. Anyway, I always thought all the disguise victims like the swindler guy, patren2, Arsene, etc will be revive, but we got the stereotypical happy light hearted open ended ending. Quote:

Noel himself still not sure about that but he believe because Arsene told him when he was a kids. I mean didn't Parent lied us many thing Back when we were kids ? |
I'm glad Patoranger got their spotlight as the team that takes out the final villain. And equally awesome that Patoren #1 finally got the power-up he was always supposed to have.
Ending could have been great, but it has issues. Didn't like the loved ones becoming thieves themselves and the book was an ass-pull. But one thing I loved was that this show stayed a VS Sentai right until the end. The two Sentai's teamed up a handful of times but they never officially united. The VS aspect was what made this show unique and I'm glad it's still highlighted in the finale. |

This was my first time watching an episode unsubbed since Ex-Aid 25 because I was just so excited, and I'm pretty sure I got the gist of everything just fine. My head's too sluggish to go into any kind of depth, but I'm pretty darn happy with this finale.
The two teams are still at it by the end of it, but it's in a weirdly more friendly kind of way. I kinda wished some of the show itself could have been more like the dynamic they had on screen here but everybody has already talked about the show didn't fulfill all sorts of potential. That said, I'm happy I stuck with it from the beginning, and I'm going to be happy to keep sticking with Sentai thanks to Lupinranger VS Patranger. |

So what's a reason why Goodie scared Kogure on first half of the show ?
The book it's just portal that connect to the shelf and jackpot can get out on his own. |
I felt the book was kind of a lame way to go about it, simply because of how ridiculously huge it is that none of the Lupin rangers could reasonably store it on their person. I was thinking of a more poignant resolution would be for the Lupin rangers to start destroying collection pieces inside Dogranio, but whatever. What's done is done.
The Lupins reuniting with their lost loved ones was a nice scene. Seeing Keiichiro actually using Siren Striker was also pretty nice. Jackpot striker releasing the Lupins was a cop out, but apparently he's been missing since the movie that I haven't seen, so whatever. Decent episode, but if this guy had the final collection piece, then the only missing pieces are the 3 Pat's VS changers, the 3 trigger machines, Scissors, Magic, Siren, and Victory (Since the Lupins took Bike and Crane, so they're probably back in the collection). Still wondering if Lupin Black and Pat 0gou will happen, though. |
So, did I miss a Lupinranger movie or something? Because I have never fucking heard of a "Jackpot Striker." That total ass-pull aside, I really liked the finale. I thought the solution for de-powering Dongario was really clever but it still let the Patrangers get the final win. It was kind of lame that they went back to the vs. status quo at the end, though.
And hey, look who finished his first current Super Sentai since Gobusters. |

The series ended up like another Zyuohger. Full of character focus but a lackluster plot.

If this is another one of those "UGH THE FILLERS" arguments, I really disagree with that notion, especially for a show like Lupin v. Pat, where the fillers are 1) actually DECENT---GOOD, and 2) still contained valuable pieces of information that would later on be concluded on Sorry if it comes off rude, but I just detest this kneejerk reaction that the fandom has gotten with Lupin v Pat, where people were complaining about the fillers to the point where they were saying they were bringing the show down, which couldn't be further from the truth, due to my above points. Majority of those fillers were GOOD if you ask me. I think this mainly comes from just the trend of recent Sentai shows, whose fillers WERE mediocre---terrible, and when people saw fillers for this show, they just had the same immediate reaction to them. |
**ROUND OF APPLAUSE**
WOW, just WOW. This show's Finale....was near PERFECT. Don't get me wrong, there are a few things that are iffy with this Finale, but overall, still, this has to be one of the best ways to send off a Sentai in years. First off, just the way the Lupinrangers were content that their mission was fulfilled, so they were fine with dying if they had to.....that was really where their characters showed true heroism. I loved the scenes of just seeing them relaxed & not worried of their unfortunate fate. Which is why I have to slightly criticize this Episode by saying.....I honestly think that this Finale would've been better if they had not had the Lupinrangers return at the end. Instead, just end it off with the Patrangers reminiscing of them, and then hint at the Lupinrangers' loved ones becoming Phantom Thieves in order to save them. Then that way, whenever their V-Cinema comes out (let's be honest, this NEEDS to happen), THEN we can have a cool story of them getting LupinRex & saving the Lupinrangers, and we can have the cool reunion of the Lupinrangers vs the Patrangers there. Now, let's address the Dogranio fight. The way they depower Dogranio is something I really love, because it's a method I didn't see coming.....but at the same time, I gotta wonder just WHY they have Kogure's book NOW of all times. Maybe I missed a passing mention of them taking it with them...? I hope I did...? But if not, this is admittedly a tadbit problematic. Oh well, the fight was cool anyway. And the scene of the Patrangers struggling to actually finish off Dogranio honestly was pretty tense. Now, given what they did do with Dogranio at the end.....WOW. Did not expect them to actually keep him alive & imprisoned. FINALLY these guys actually act like cops.....LOL but anyway, great twist at the end. I really thought Keichiro would go through with the shot (due to my desired scenario above), but nope. And it's honestly not a bad idea, so can't fault them for that. But that final scramble at the end was just SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH. And it's fun to know that now they're pretty much just fighting over the Lupin Collection piece for simple fun rivalry. The fight scene was just a highlight of how great Lupin v Pat's fight choreography is. Whoever choreographs this Series deserves a raise, and NEEDS to stay for Sentai as long as possible. Overall, I'm proud to say that Lupin v. Pat is now at my 3rd Best Sentai, behind Go-Busters at #2 and Shinkenger at #1. This could be the start of Super Sentai's turnaround in quality. Let's hope Ryusoulger continues the trend due to its brand-new writer. |

Goodie's was very scared Him and Noel's look like not trust him somehow ? https://i.imgur.com/rsL9N9wl.jpg They throw that out of the windows and make them a happy family now |

This show was bad. But I liked it.
The final episode was great, even though it left many questions unanswered. Lupin and the collection didn't really play a big role in the end in the way I thought they would, but that may have been for the better. The ending that most people, including myself, expected: Lupin granting a wish to make everyone happy, thankfully didn’t came true. The ending they went with is much better. Still... I don't know. I will forever think about this show with a positive attitude just because I enjoyed it so much but I can't muster myself to defend it like I did Zyuohger. Because unlike Zyuohger, I do think LuPat was a bad show. But one I liked watching. If I had to say what I liked best about the show - probably the fight scenes. They went the extra mile a lot of times with new camera angles and choreographic, the final episode recapped that perfectly with the fight scene at the end. So yeah, LupinRanger vs. PatRanger - me like. I hope the next season can somehow be better while entertaining me in a similar fashion, but what I've seen so far isn’t good. But I don't expect too much of Sentai for a reason, low expectations help enjoy this series much better. |
Guess I have to think of an appropriate way to send this one off. This season started with promise, LOTS of it, and after toy sales were failing they threw that away in an attempt to recover which was for nothing. The show was mostly ok, for every good thing it had, there's something I grew tired of. However, I'm glad I watched it. It had the same criticisms people had for Zyuohger due to the same writer but I feel Zyuohger's cast were more charming, especially Misao, which is why people are saying they prefer Zyuohger. This finale though? It brought it all back, Keichiro FINALLY got his power up, the teams split up and that shot of Dogranio on his knees before it pans out and we hear a gunshot? Fucking dark and chilling despite the aftermath. Outside of Jackpotstriker, this ending felt incredible, especially as we saw a new team of Phantom Thieves

Salut, Lupinrangers~
Y'know I do share some of your sentiments Gloryxros that the kneejerk reaction to even good filler is a bit much. But there are flaws on the other side to acknowledge as well. It was'nt Build levels of Evolt dragging the riders around per se but still kinda bad.
I do have to say we have one of the stronger/est characters in sentai for a long time and that does deserve to be lauded. And oh lord, the music. But I digress, this was a satisfying enough finale for me. Predictable maybe but enough quirks to string me along like the book.(A hint would have been nice) Build's finale was more satisfying for me sure, but this does its job well and book ends it romantically. |
Well, this was a much better finale than this show deserved. It managed to focus on all the elements I liked (ie: the Pats growing bond with the Lupins, Keiichirou's development, actual emotions going on, SUPER PAT#1 FINALLY!), pull of some very good shots and plot beats, end on a surprising note for a Sentai villain. I was fully prepared to put the show up a point for sticking the landing...
Until the Lupins got freed. Because, apprently, Noel just didn't tell the Patrangers what he was doing for a year. And they got saved by movie related deus ex machina. And now they're going back to fighting because writing a proper reconcilliation between the groups just can't happen before Ryusoulger. Honestly, it's symbolic of a lot of my gripes with the show. The Pats being left out of the loop, the refusal to move past the status quo of the two teams always fighting, Noel's smug dickery. Yeah, this show was bad. Not Ninninger bad, but bad, which is annoying, as there's a lot of promise, and just enough to keep me strung along for a year, but nothing more. Wow, this became far too negative. |
The best part about the conflict remaining by the end?
It's literally all because of Noel, since it's solely his wish that wasn't granted. Despite being such a great friend or whatever, he drives a wedge between the two teams and is now literally creating a conflict where there shouldn't be one. What a good friend. (Though, in the final fight scene, Tsukasa vs Touma's fight choreography is goddamn beautiful) |
Well, that was fine and all but that ending gave a feel of unachieved matters. They kept gas for V-cinema, right ?
|
Honestly,While lupins loved ones become a thief is a great surprise but i don't like that.
i don't understand why noel are okay with that ? look like he didn't learn anything from Crucified episode. I can see Keiichiro punch him so hard when he learn about this. |
I wasn't a big fan of the show overall but that was a pretty well done finale. A lot of good, impactful moments that played up the best parts of the show.

I think I have knacks of finishing super sentai series that many people find bad:
Go-Busters Nin-Ningers and now LupinRangers vs Patrangers Those are three that I actually finished watching from start to finish after Gokaiger. I didn't finish Kyoryuger, stopped watching after Kyoryu...gold? The old samurai with weird jumping-dancing morphing sequence. I didn't even watch ToQGer since the overall aesthetics turn me off I watched Zyu-Oh-Ger until The World arrives and...turned me off. I watched Kyuranger and somehow unable to finish it after around the arrival of that kyu-cyan boy. Not that I hate him or anything, just...unable to finish somehow. But LuPat, wow. It somehow entices me to actually watch the series from start to finish. I finally conclude the why: the characters are written consistently within characters. Their developments stay within their characters. Keiichiro still a cop with straight guidance and burning heart, but his focus shifted from being a cop to being a hero of the people Kairi opens his heart and accepts brotherly affections in the end while still pretty much a juvenile Touma is still cool but somehow brings mature warmth to the whole show, complemented with Tsukasa's smart elder sister vibe. Sakuya and Umika really are made for each other. Sakuya's feeling of being a junior fits with Umika's youthful and cheery but pain inside persona. Heck Umika is the most succesful character in the show. She can be cheery and serious without breaking character like so many other superhero time characters. I can tell that if Sakuya and Umika ends up together, Sakuya would totally protect her and Umika would constantly try to warm up their relationships. Ah, LuPat, how I miss you already... |

I can't think of a more fitting series to have opinions this split across the board.

So that was a weird passing of the torch scene and it has now made me very worried of Ryusoul Red.
