It's the same writer as Ex-Aid (Yuya Takahashi), so I won't be surprised if at least one Rider dies, but I will be surprised if any main characters stay dead. I mean, I'm just speculating at this point, but we know Humagears can be restored from a backup, the voice actress in ep #6 showed they can be made in the image of a person (specifically a dead person), and even though Izu shot him down the chef in ep #3 raised the idea of a heart being digitized. If the writer wants to kill off a human and revive them as a Humagear, he's already laying solid groundwork for it.

Not to mention that HumaGears can actually grow consciousness as shown since episode 1.
That's why we need to see the back story of Horobi, to see why he ends up having conclusion that humanity is bad. Maybe he was abused once he reached consciousness. He it's UK "Human" once again. |

Anyway speaking of Horobi, I thought it was interesting that the exposed mechanics where his 'ears' were missing was jagged and torn, while for Jin it was smooth and clean. I assume it's because Jin was intentionally built without the outer structure but Horobi had his ripped off somehow? |

When the Seiyu Humagear had hers damaged she was spazzing out. |
Put me in the camp of "Yua might die, but they'll likely bring her back later as a Humagear".
Hell, they might even find a way to backup human consciousness as data to be put into an android body, similar to what happened in Ex-Aid with Genm. |

So if that does mean nothing then at least it shows they might already have the technology to transfer consciousness. |

Pretty good episode again, Horobi and Jin's part was brief but it was cool to see Amazing Hercules used with the Attache Arrow. Loved the character development on Yua's part, we definitely got to see a more human side to her that isn't just cold and calculating. She was actually worried about Fuwa's condition and wanted to take responsibility for the terrorists taking Zaia's tech. And I love the dilemma this episode. Power down the Humagears in the hospital to minimise the risk of a terrorist attack, but lose valuable working hands. Or, keep the doctor and nurse Humagears online and risk mass slaughter by MetsubouJinrai. It's a difficult problem and handled realistically. Plus the nation seems to be more aware of Humagear hackings thanks to the news segments they showed, so the show is really starting to up the stakes.
Breaking Mammoth looked pretty cool, the CGI ranged from awful to pretty good, but its design looks great and the finisher was really dope. The conflict was really heightened by the multiple internal struggles going on. Aruto wondering what to do as a CEO. Izu being conflicted about the role of Humagears. Yua losing her cool. The doctor Humagear going against the hacking to keep his original programming. Really good episode. Closing words, Izu drift was great. Comedy at the end between Fuwa and Aruto was funny. Izu seems to be catching onto Yua's spying and I'm excited to see where this goes next. |
