Very interesting episode. Hmm..the lobster Gangler are frozen by Zamigo but the lobster Gangler is still alive. In other words, the other Zamigo's victims is still alive too.
Siren LupinKaiser and Super Lupin X looks cool. Too bad the Gangler Monsters are looks too weak when compared to new powers in this episode. Hopely we has another very powerful monster of the week in future episodes. It seems relationship between Noel and 3 Patranger become better and better. I still think Noel is cooler as police than as theft..... Still strange the Siren Striker full transformation announcement voice are didn't used in this episode. Maybe saved for Patranger? |
Booooy this episode, when this show started I was like "YEAH BOY, LUPINS THE BEST." But my good lord. As the show has gone on the Pat's have been creeping up the best team spot. They get shafted so hard, why is the Siren Striker an X upgrade? Noel is already too OP, and he's basically a french weeb.
Honestly at this point Keiichiro just needs to make a homemade cardboard upgrade, and proceed to destroy everybody standing in the way of the law. |

If Patranger can uses Lupinranger's Silver X Trains, why not if Patranger can uses SirenStriker especially this mecha are more suited for Patranger than Lupinranger. |

This show is so frustrating. While the episode was fine, it really sucks to see the Patranger's get shafted every chance they get. I was okay with Splash because the in-show explanation was good. But Siren Striker and the Super form were clearly designed for the Patranger's. They even have the "S" symbol. I wouldn't have minded so much if it was used for Patoren X but nope, had to be the Lupinranger form. The behind the scenes meddling is so obvious that it hurts. I can only hope Siren Striker makes it into Keiichiro's hands by the end of the season.

I think the reason why Lupin X uses Siren Striker Armor because this is just to symbolize Noel have two different professions (police and phantom theft). About Keiichiro, If he didn't use Siren Striker Armor, he can still have chance to uses berserk upgrade when Keiichiro have Trigger Machine Minus Ichigo. |
I think I thoroughly hate Noel. Like, the Patrangers just prove how much better people they are in comparison to him, where his scheming to get his loved one back is feeling more like he's using other people.
Despite getting the bulk of the screen time, the Lupinrangers are so underwhelming aside from Umika. Touma is a brick, Kairi is just such a dull loner, and Noel needs a solid boot to the face. And while I do like Umika, her charm comes from how she interacts with other characters, rather than as a character herself. Meanwhile, Keiichiro, who looked like the most 1 dimensional character in Sentai history, is turning out to have the most layered personality, and Tsukasa and Sakuya are genuinely interesting to watch as they play off Keiichiro and each other (And Umika) so well. And so, 2 more mechs (And power ups) go to the Lupins, Noel gets to have his cake and eat it, and the police just have to resort to end of episode hijinks. |

The Lupinrangers started off strong in the series as characters, but after a while they kinda stopped being interesting, whereas the Patrangers started off weak in the series as characters, but became much, much more interesting now. Seriously, can we let the Patrangers get their upgrades? This is the first time I've ever seen a non-sixth red Ranger get shafted so badly.
|
Is it so bad that I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Noel get beat up?
Everybody has already said what I wanted to say about the imbalance of the team focus so I'll just say that Keiichiro better get an upgrade at least. |

Since Noel is genius engineer, I hope he can modify SirenStriker so when SirenStriker power is used, Noel and other Patrangers will access SirenStriker armor at same time. I really miss to five members upgrade like in Fiveman, Gingaman, Dekaranger, Magiranger, Shinkenger, and Goseiger |
oh god
i feel really bad at patorangers also all of the shafting are clearly executice meddling also i think understand the hate to noel if this team are more balance maybe noel will get more like also bc the writer of this series are the same as zyuohger there are so many fiiller and i miss full team upgrade too |
I've stopped watching LuPat since episode 35, is there any plot progress since then? I'm a Lupinranger fan but seeing them outshine the Patrangers is kinda hurt to watch. And it seems the Patrangers didn't have any motivation to reveal Lupinranger's identity or even arrest them. I thought this show is about police chasing criminals.

I still love this show, I loved this episode, and I even love Noel quite a bit, but I definitely have to agree the Patrangers are getting shafted to the point of absurdity now.
I could handle Splash, you know? It was almost cute the one time, but when you're printing out boxes for the DX Siren Striker with Lupin X's mug slapped all over them in spite of the fact the toy shouts "Super Police Change" (a sound bite conveniently left out of this episode) , it just comes off as shockingly disingenuous, to say the least. Fortunately the writers don't seem to have given up on the Patrangers as characters, or this would be totally unbearable. Given that the Super Lupin X armor was clearly designed to be a generic power up for any of the Patrangers, I have no doubts that, bare minimum, we'll see Keiichirou using it in the finale alongside Super Lupin Red, but it would've been so much better to just not have to deal with this farce in the first place. |
I agree that Umika is best when she's interacting with other characters because she's a bit dizzy or when shit hits the fan her panicked expressions are so cute.
No one likes Touma, but that's not the actors fault. His role is the moody and boring older guy. It looks like Sakuya is going to get dumped in the upcoming episode too. |
Yeah I still like this show but this still pisses me off. Turns out, advertising the Lupins as the cool bunch but the Pats as stupid incompetent oafs a lot of the time doesn't make kids want the Pat toys, who could have known?
|
Unless Siren Striker ends up being used by Patkaiser - and going by the Next Time, that probably won't be next episode at least - then that mech hasn't gotten a new upgrade since Strongbiker. Unless you count Trains, but do we count Trains?

Still, the last bit is more what I was getting at. That the patrangers just haven't gotten any upgrades. |
Y'know, with how the preview described this episode, along with its name, I thought that the Collection piece being in space would be a bigger part of the episode. Like, the Lupins and Ganglers would be racing to get into space first, or competing to steal a rocket or something. Then the Patrangers would show up and mess with the launch, culminating in Keiichiro hanging on to the outside of a rocket for dear life.
What we got was still pretty enjoyable, though like everyone else I'm a bit annoyed at how many upgrades are being taken from the Pats. |
They should really give splash to the patorangers, as well as siren striker. Hopefully noel gives it to them at some point so I can stop wanting to punch him in his stupid smug face
|
Frustratingly, the toy scans did show Striker Lupin, not Striker Pat so I won't be surprised if that's how it stays. Gokaiger did red gold mode in an HBV and Kyuranger did pegasus yellow and sun/moon green near the end, so maybe we'll get a normal Pat going super.
I was mostly fine with this episode - yes, new mecha debut is always a 'buy our toys' thing but they do look cool - but the Lupin favoritism is just too blatant Also, how did Arsene Lupin create a space traversing jumbo jet? |
It's not really that the Pats don't have power ups, it's that the Lupins are getting power up after power up while the Pats literally only have the Biker Suppressing Shot.
No, I'm not counting the one time Crane was used in ranger form. Splash Buster, Magic Arrow, Lupin Magnum, Scissors and Shield, as well as both Siren and Victory, for BOTH super modes on the Lupin sides. And I just know the one time Keiichiro will get to use SirenStriker, it will be one of those moments where Noel will be a cheeky douche about it, basically using Keiichiro's sense of fairplay and nobility to return it to him when all is said and done. |
I know most hate Noel, but I saw vids of the actor that plays Noel and he did some impressive parkour moves. I don't think anyone else on the cast can do that. Maybe he does his own stunts too.

Sounds interesting, though - could you link? |

This entire mess would have been fixed if they just threw away the false two teams narrative, and just made them ONE team.
Instead one team is just being mistreated overall and I do not like that. I still like the show, it has some great scenes, music and overall art direction going for it, but pretty much everyone in the fanbase has commented on the extreme one sided nature of the show and the power ups. I am honestly just waiting for the final mech (( if there even is one, no idea )) to flat out ignore the Pat being used for it at all, that or they will kill them off or permanently retire them by destroying their ability to morph. Because I would not be surprised at this point if either of those things happen. It sours the overall experience I would say, for a lot of people, and I am a team lupin fan, but the flat out mistreatment of the Pats makes me not want to root for the lupins at all anymore, and it honestly saddens me how the show that I overall like makes me not want to recommend it to anyone interested in the franchise anymore. It is already late if they fix the issues, but I suspect they will not do it before the last 5 episodes or never at all at which point it will be far to late, and honestly I think a lot of kids loving the show will get older and end up getting a negative view on the show they used to like when they start spotting this flaws. |

This time though... Before I saw the preview for next time, I was under the false impression that both new vehicles would go to Noel, and that he'd used Victory Striker in his Patren X form. The fact that they were actually clearly designed to go to each red and instead goes to two different thieves AND that the mechs are only used to make Lupin Kaiser... And that's all ignoring that the Lupins have Magnum! It's something people have brought up their gripes about over and over again, but this is actually the first time where I have felt like the distribution of power-ups is seriously hard to ignore. The story will win out in the end, I'm sure, but it's impossible not to feel like the cops are being intentionally ripped off several times over. EDIT: Wait, why were the vehicles already in full-size and just flying through space in the first place? Did Arsene Lupin hide them on a meteor? |
So, let's count this episode's sins, shall we?
1: Wasting a perfectly good idea of "Rangers go to space" on a standard "the mecha gets controlled" plot 2: Zamigo shows up and does nothing, except maybe destroy a Collection Piece? 3: So Noel learns nothing, if anything proving he doesn't trust the Pats one bit, and yet he's rewarded for it. He doesn't change, he doesn't decide that he owes them one because they saved his life. If this was any other sentai, he'd be a lot more willing to work with them, but because they're not called Lupin, he doesn't change. And despite all this, he gets an upgrade with a big Patranger logo on it for his Lupin form. I know Sentai's merchandise driven, I know I shouldn't care so much about a toy commercial... but also, that's godawful writing that ignores half the cast just to promote an unlikeable ass. 4: CGI on the fried chicken missiles at the begginning is a little oof |
No matter how bad lupat is at times, it's still better than than zi-o which is just a step ahead of ghost to me right now. Plus I'll take any screen time of Tsukasa.
