So much for the new protocol for protecting leaks. We had info early and almost all of it was true in one way or another. Outside of some names here and there. That being said it all looks cool. Zero gives off some showa vibes while standing firmly in the modern era. It’s like Ichigo, OOO, and Kabuto had a weird lovechild.
I prefer mystical themed Riders, but this tech based stuff looks really cool. So colorful and creative. A gun belt?! Briefcase weapons?! How could you not love that? Nice to (maybe) have a female rider from the jump as well. It’s a new day! So far my favorite part is the Mammoth form for Zero. It’s designed to be the obligatory large mecha/vehicle we have come to know since Fourze (I think), but it looks cooler than anything outside of maybe Wizard Dragon. It’s Kamen Dancouga! |

by the breastplate I expect him to be Bat based. |
It feels like they're merging OOO and Build, specifically how the upgrade forms are a direct upgrade of base form like RabbitTankSparkling, as well as the phone bike.
Hopefully the show utilizes the bike often again. I forgot that Zi-O has a bike. |
Oh, now this is just fantastic looking! Both a callback to the series roots while also being slick and modern!

I am in love with EVERYTHING!!

I'm totally down for that. |
Honestly, wouldn't hold my breath for Valkyrie being a female Rider based on name. Like everyone's saying that since valkyries are females, than that must mean that Valkyrie is also, but you all have to remember that there was a Valkyrie Phantom in Wizard, and it was a he. So until the actual conference where they reveal information about Zero One, let's not go claiming Valkyrie's a female Rider yet. Remember what happened with Zi-O, where people kept saying that he was going to be a female Rider based on a curved chestplate and pink accents? Let's not pump ourselves up only to let ourselves down when it turns out Valkyrie is a male.

I'm very excited that we've got a main Rider design that's so sleek! I'm baffled that Zero-1's Driver isn't even an eyesore. (Then again, I think the Gamer Driver permanently skewed my perception of what constitutes a gaudy Driver.) I'm baffled that his first upgrade form actually looks like... an upgrade, without verging into ugly or silly territory. Looks like the helmet hits most all the repeating Rider elements: bug eyes, the gem at the center, the "tears," and antennae. Way less abstraction than usual, and yet the design doesn't feel like a lazy rehash of Ichigou. The briefcase weapons are so sleek it doesn't even look like modern Rider design. That cheetah form (Valkyrie?) - and the shape of the holders in that image - just screams Go-Busters to me. The timing on the phone-cycle is just bafflingly weird. Build was just two years ago! So it seems that the progress keys flip out and then are slid into the belt/gun.

Really excited to see the new series now! |

At the risk of sounding sexist. To me this fits perfectly with the idea of Valkyrie being a female rider because it seems like Toei is experimenting with her. They're willing to put a her in the spotlight, but not that willing to spend the budget on giving her more toys than necessary, and are now waiting to see how her first quarter sales fare before they give her more. |

Again, I'm cool with the idea that Valkyrie is a female Rider because I'm always down for more of them, but I don't think it's a good idea to just assume that's the case when we really don't have a lot of clear pictures nor official information about it. So until the official conference for the reveal, I'm not gonna hold my breath and hope for them being a her. |

I'm kind of surprised 'phone that turns into bike' is an idea that's come up more than once but this is Rider. Time for more really weird scenes where he uses it like it's a normal phone (Build even had a bit where he took pictures with his)
|
Zero-One looks cool. I hope this show will be something new, fresh and different than the Hesiei Kamn Riders similar how Kuuga was to the Showa Riders.

Now that I think I understand the scans a little better, it seems Valkyrie is the third RKF figure shown. I'd initially assumed it was an alternate form for Vulcan (they share the mismatched diagonal design, presumably because they use the same Driver,) but it matches the one picture we have of Valkyrie Rushing Cheetah, and the figure displayed... I dunno. The proportions look masculine to me, although the way the limbs are angled does seem a tad feminine. I guess we'll find out for certain in six days.
I actually started to doubt the existence of Valkyrie for a minute before I started looking at the eye shapes. Lightning Hornet definitely has differently-shaped eyes than Vulcan's forms. I'm baffled as to how the armor system for Zero-1 works. We can see Zero-1's light green (I'm sure there's a better name for this shade) on each of the alternate forms - which would suggest this is just armor and maybe a new face plate overlaid on the basic design, but its placement is inconsistent with the base suit. I'm baffled as to how this is going to work as a gimmick. |
I just hope the Reiwa era will have more female riders respected.
Plus Zero-One, what would be a good theme of the series? |
Hot dang I thought hoping for an insect motif was a bit optimistic, but a straight up, no frills grasshopper? In a fairly unique color for a main form?
Color me impressed. The best part is, after Ex-Aid I've taken something to heart I think everyone should when we get these initial leaks: However much you like or dislike the design right now, it's going to look infinitely better when we see an actual suit in nice lighting. |

I'm thrilled! |
Well Zero-One have RKF as gimmick line like Zi-O. I hope Bandai will be continue to make previous Riders in RKF toyline from Ichigo to Ghost.
|
I'm a little bit confused, the collectives are supposed to be cassettes?
I dig the designs though, the Shooting Wolf one is my favorite so far. |

Aside from zero one's default form I absolutely love the mamoth form
|
Absolutely love the look and the animal motif for the season.

Looking at the toys, one of these days I really hope to see an upgrade item that can be used with all the previous forms, upgrading them to a super version. One toy, tons of new forms.
|
i thought we'd learned our lesson from last year reveal of zi-o that bigger chest plate does not necessarily mean that a rider is a female :p
that, and the fact that the rkf figure seems to use the similar base mold as the other riders just adds to my doubt. if valkyrie was indeed supposed to be female, you'd think they'd at least make it look leaner |

Also interedting that the logo makes it seem like he's pronounced as O-1 instead of Zero One. |

I'm still unclear on the O-1 suit color. It's not quite yellow and it's not quite green. I kinda wish I'd put some skill points into "recognize obscure colors." Since I've already lavished praise on O-1's suit, I'll just take a moment to throw shade on the Vulcan suit. The helmet is... not great. The shape might be okay, but not in those colors. I might have liked the design more if he wasn't standing directly next to a much, much sleeker main Rider. (Hey, we're finally back to the main Rider design being better than the secondary Rider's! We were kinda on an unfortunate streak...) |
A female tertiary, that seems like a pretty good idea actually! I tend to enjoy tertiary Riders, and it seems like a good way to test the waters if they are feeling cautious.
|
It would be cool to have a female rider be part of the main three riders.

I feel like the actual suit in the show won't be as glorious as the art we have now though. but we'll see. |
