Your Toku Headcanons
Hope I'm placing this in the right forum, please correct if I'm not.
So I was just wondering if you guys had any personal headcanonons concerning any shows you've watched over the years. They can range from rewrites to what to place before/after to self-insert ideas. Whatever you want. For me I have two: 1.) After the events of Jungle Fury the cast end up teaching/bestowing their spirits onto the next generation of heroes, but among them you notice the Black Lion Warrior & Green Chameleon Warrior don't have Morphers like everyone else. I would have those 2 characters use the Doron Changers (the Kakuranger ones, if I got that name right) to Morph after inheriting those spirits from Jarrod & Camille. Reason being they're considered "damaged" after being connected with the Dai Shi for so long & their powers need to be channeled through a proper power source to be used safely. 2.) Nothing too crazy, but I would have a main universe version of RPM take place with an entirely different cast & story. Reason being is that the real RPM universe has versions of previous Ranger teams in it (with the OO Red helmet & destroyed JF Restaurant being the biggest proof), so why not have it the other way around? Again, nothing too wild, just a tone-change & new characters & plots. I think it'd be very fun to have. Hope these made sense to you guys. What are your ideas for Toku headcanons? |
Yuuji and Takumi from Faiz were totally in love. Same with Shotaro and Philip from W. You can't convince me otherwise.

Anyway, for something besides shipping, I have a headcanon that those mass-produced Ark Progrise Keys Azu had in the simulated space change their animal to match whichever key their user is already associated with. Horobi got Ark Scorpion, but if Fuwa had succumbed to malice he would've gotten Ark Wolf, Yua would've gotten Ark Cheetah, etc, all the way down to the A.I.M.S. grunts who would've gotten Ark Horseshoe Crab. |
If it counts I might have some unpopular opinions on what counts as what colour, or who counts as a member etc, like for example DekaMaster/Shadow Ranger lol

Too many headcanons to count, but for now my favourite one that I keep coming back to is that post-series, Sento and Banjou crash at Emu’s apartment. They’re always late on rent, keep Emu up at 2am and Sento keeps inventing stupid devices that never sell and drive Emu to tears

This is a small one, but after watching him return in one of the Drive movies I think it'd be great if Ryu only henshins into Accel for two reasons:
1.) Cleaning up any random Dopants still straggling around Fuuto 2.) Giving his daughter Haruna rides around the neighborhood as a bike while Akiko records & takes pictures |
I have this theory that each Greeed represents a different kind of desire and feeling of emptiness:
Ankh is the desire for your life to have some kind of meaning (existential angst), because of his wanting to become complete and become closer to human. Kazari is the desire to take what someone else has (jealousy) because his Yummies inhabited their hosts and because he betrayed the other Greeed and stole medals from them. Uva is the desire to grow and to increase your wealth and power (ambition) because his Yummies consume what they desire and molt into stronger forms and because he devised a new way of making monsters more cheaply with the Waste Yummies. Gamel is the desire for worldly pleasures (hedonism) because his Yummies are just created for his childish amusement and because he never thought beyond very simple wants. Mezool is the desire for other people to care about you (loneliness) because her Yummies spawned in large groups and because of her motherly relationship to Gamel. And Dr. Maki and the Eiji Greeed represent the desire for destruction and nothingness (death drive) because their power comes from the absence of desire and they have the ability to destroy other medals. |
I’d agree with a lot of that! It’s a big part of why I love the Greeed so much and why they’re easily my favourite Rider antagonists — they’re extremely sympathetic figures driven to bad things because even the simplest most basic things in life are so difficult to attain for them, as you’ve described. I like to imagine that as much as Eiji wants to revive Ankh, that he might one day try to revive and reach out to the other Greeed as well.
