Your strategies for buying older Toku toys
I find that for Super Sentai in particular, buying DX toys such as the henshin devices or mecha is exceedingly difficult towards late in the show's run or after the show is over. Shinkenger and Gokaiger toys, for instance, were sold out everywhere by their shows' respective ends, found only for exorbitant prices on eBay.
How exactly do you guys get hold of older Toku toys? From past seasons, or towards the current season's end? What are your strategies? |
Well, I hope the TokuNation Market Place would soon to be a great place to look for things like that :D

Depends on just how much older you're talking about.
For example, South Korea will usually release a Sentai or Rider show a year after it originated in Japan using different names/packaging but with the same basic toy molds. IF you're patient this can be a cost-effective alternative. Secondary market for some older items isn't too bad; check Mandarake on a regular basis and you might get lucky. |
