I just went to crack open a couple of the Wave 2 OOO figs, do some post-Better Call Saul SO-DO, and:
https://challengerscomics.com/images...orstickers.jpg WHAT. THE. SHIT. So many stickers! Way too many stickers for the premium line of SO-DO! This is not a nighttime wind-down, Bandai! I thought we had a deal! |

Well, I may not like how he looks, but at least I hated stickering him. (Your mileage may vary on how to describe this figure, but I'm fond of "a bird who flew through a tin foil factory".) So excited to do the other two figs from this wave!!! |

Edit: I was wrong, they are also sticker heavy |
Kind of double post, but I wanted to bump the thread for this question.
Which Series do you want to see next in the SO-DO Chronicle line? I'm hoping for Gaim. I think that it and Faiz were in the top 4 when they polled people on what series they wanted to see done (the other two were den-o and double if I remember correctly). I feel like Gaim would be great with the two box format since they could do the fruit arms in one box and the body in the other. Also the arms action line was great, and I'd love to see it updated. Not relevant to the question but I also just realized Ryuki would be pretty easy to do since everyone but Ryuki/Zolda/Knight, use the same black base suit, they'd just release the base suit without shin or forearms like they've done for kuuga. Edit: also in pie in the sky land would be a complete line of ghost figures since all the other options for ghost figures atm kind of suck, and I like ghost. |
Maybe not what I want the most, but I'm interested to see how they'd do Drive and Fourze; given their 'form change' gimmicks is less new actual suits and mostly just new accessories. I wonder if they'd just have boxes full of modules and tires.
|
Honestly, Ryuki or Gaim would be great just in terms of design and variety, even if all the additional Riders would go Premium Bandai and thus make me sad I couldn't buy them (plus, as Deepsea says, the Body/Armor mechanic is suited perfectly to Gaim). Blade would be a personal favourite, because the Blade designs are great and it would give me a tiny meme man Garren.

Considering that's how they handled it the first time around, I'd guess they'd do that fourze. I don't know about drive though. |

Edit: Oh also there was the Motion Revive Series before the release of the decade candy toys, but those figs were more like SHODO in quality and design |
I don't think there's any Phase 2 line I'd turn down, but (and I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely dislike all of the suits) Gaim feels like the best move, as far as how the boxes work. I'd love it if the figures were all the same size, scale be damned, so that we could mix and match the different Arms to different Riders. Aesthetically, though, I'd vote for Wizard. My favorite suits, and there's (probably) not a ton of stickering you'd need to do.
The thing I'm less excited about, for future SO-DO Chronicle, is how quickly they shift to Premium Bandai. With regular SO-DO, you know that the majority of suits and Riders are going to be retail. With SO-DO Chronicle, it seems like 80% of Double is Premium only, including all of the other Riders. I'd be bummed out if Gaim's Chronicle was, like, Gaim and Baron, and everyone else was Premium. |

Wave 1: Gaim body Orange Armor Strawberry Armor Pine Armor Banana Armor Wave 2: Gaim Body Jimba Armor (w/ Multiple Stickers) Kachdoki Body Kachidoki Armor Kiwami Body Kiwami Armor Everything else - Premium EDIT Because I forgot easy repaints go in the lottery, and Gaim used Banana Arms, like, three times. |

I mean if we're unlucky but lucky they'll all get imported since bluefin did that for the Accel and Skull set, and kuuga, so crossing my fingers, especially since we're getting more p-bandai stuff via p-bandai america. Also I really need better lighting in my room so I can take better pics of my SO-DO figs. |
I mean, I'm UK, so no matter what Blufin does, I'm stuck here without. Would be good if they sorted the rest of the PB stuff out for ya, especially the Zeronos one.
|
Oh quick update on this lot no one has bid on it so I'm going to set up a snipe so I don't have to get up at 5am to snag it
|
I will be very sad if we don't get all the lead Heisei riders in SODO form (especially now that chronicles is a line).
There are too many lines of figures and candy toys that never continued at least up to the end of Heisei. I'm glad Bandai stuck with the Converge line of figures. Actually, the line has done so well it's actually repeating some characters. https://i.imgur.com/zXLOqKc.jpg |
I'm personally curious to see if we'll get a special Decade set. I could see a set of Decade Complete, Diend Complete and Kiva-La to finish off the suits; along with Rising Ultimate Kuuga (but I think that has a stark possibility of being in the last Kuuga set with the other Rising forms).
I could also honestly see re-issues of Decade, Diend and maybe Kuuga as well. |

Great looking collection, though! |
Update: Bought the lot, so hit me up if you want anything from wave 1 or waves 5 thru 9.

Thanks for doing this! You've earned 5 Rider Points, and Kazumi Sawatari admires your ability to take on a burden for your friends. Please adjust your TokuNation Scorecard accordingly. |
Tomorrow I’m getting AI05.5 along with Siege Singe.

Edit: Okay folks, I need some advice. I'm trying to figure out where I should buy the remaining SO-DO Ex-aid figures I need. I've found all the ones I need on either Yahoo Auction or Mandarake. I'm adding the 300 yen Zenmarket service fee to all the Yahoo Auction ones. Here are the comparisons Muteki is 2000 yen on Manda vs 1600 yen on Yahoo Auction. The Yahoo Auction one is out of box and already stickered so I'm keeping that in mind. VR Gamer is 1500 on Manda vs 1180 Yen on Yahoo Auction. The one on Yahoo Auction is from the same seller that's selling Muteki, but is also out of box, but not stickered in this case Fuma/Dead-beat Dad is 1500 on Manda (from the store the rest of the figures I want are at; Nakano) vs 1180 from the same seller as the previous two, and is not stickered but open. There's a third option which is 2080 yen but includes 2 of the ninja grunt players Lazer Turbo is cheaper on Manda at 1200 yen vs the one from the seller I keep talking about being 1400. Again though there's a third option from the same seller as the previous third option which is Laser Turbo with his proto gashat upgrades at 2580. For the primary Yahoo Auction store, they also have the Taddle Fantasy armor (which I have but one of the shoulder pads won't stay on) for 800 yen, and TVKuma Build for 850 Build Here's the store I keep referencing btw Poppy is so far only at Manda for an okay price/at a store that has other things I want. |
Is shipping liable to be the same for all of those? Because, depending on how much you like the build vs having the figures, the Yahoo one looks like a better deal.

And also the Hazard body sets from set 10 (mostly looking to get the kaizokua/ressha eye pieces for hazard B side, but understand if you don't want to split the sets. |

So, got AI5.5 this morning. Had to go at 7 in the morning because of Royal Mail’s opening times. The tusk blades are really loose in hand but for the rest of it is really good. I recommend it!
P.S. should there be a second bike?http://http://www.tokunation.com/att...1&d=1586419361http://http://www.tokunation.com/att...1&d=1586419361 http://http://www.tokunation.com/att...1&d=1586419361 http://http://www.tokunation.com/att...1&d=1586419361 http://http://www.tokunation.com/att...1&d=1586419361 |
For those that have used the different proxy services, how does zenmarket compare to buyee?
|
Quote:
Buyee looks pretty similar. Some other stuff about Zenmarket. You have to add funds to do it. You can consolidate packages for free. You pay for shipping after you get a quote and are able to change shipping methods for free (I think, I've never actually done it). Edit: also package consolidation and protective packing is free (I think so for protective packing) Edit 2: https://zenmarket.jp/en/fees.aspx#Optional%20fees Stuff on Zenmarket |
That sounds a lot better than Buyee!
Buyee has a per item 200 yen payment fee and an additional 300 yen if its an auction (service fee). Buyee also has consolidation fees (variable depending on number of packages around 800 to 1500), only holds packages for 30 days, and has a bunch of optional "insurance" charges that can add up (between 300 - 500 yen per item). I used to get my SODO and Converge from there, but then Amazon.co.jp has started doing very reasonable global shipping rates. I'll give zenmarket a shot next time I need to find some rares. |
Also worth noting that Zenmarket stores items for free for up to 90 days, and due to Covid they're currently offering an additional 45 days for a total of 135

Me, several days ago: "I was thinking of doing a once-a-day review"
Takes the photos Forgets about it Until today! https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...59&oe=5EAFC405 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...2c&oe=5EAF7D20 So, Kamen Rider Zi-O. The lord of time, at the start of his journey. You do have to wonder - did Woz always give him the ridewatch and time is a closed loop until it isn't, or did it just spontensouly generate one day in some original timeline? Debates for the ages. In any case, basic Zi-O is a nice form, and comes across as very lithe, especially compared to the Build figures. The face stickers aren't as bad as I thought they'd be, considering you can align the molded edges, and the end result is sleek. He comes with his sword, which is nice, because I can't remember him using the gun at all. |
The most pleasant surprise for me with my So-Dos was how good the stickers looked. You'd expect them to look out of place but they mostly blend very very well
|
Hey tell me if I'm asking too soon after asking this previously, but would anyone want to split this lot? I have someone who wants the kirameger minipla already. So I think in this lot asides from the obvious we have 2 full sets of AI 01, and an extra Vulcan Shooting Wolf/Zero One Rising Hopper via the the 12 pack. There are 3 bikes, 2 copies of the Zi-o movie forms, and 3 of the weapon boxes (I have someone who I know would want one of the weapon box).
Feel free to tell me what you'd want from the set if anything. |
