Speaking of continuity, from what I understand, the Showa Riders are all in continuity with each other (obviously), Kuuga is in continuity with Agito (at least, that seems to be what's widely accepted), and W, OOO and Fourze also seem to be in continuity. Fourze also implies that both Kuuga and Ichigo existed in its universe, therefore it can be assumed that at very least, the entire Showa era, Kuuga-Agito and W-Fourze are all in the same continuity.
The questionable parts seem to Ryuki-Decade, and then Gaim. I can't really comment on Wizard or Drive. Is this all correct or am I missing something? |
Continuity is wonky, with Decade trying so hard to establish a "Decade continuity" that it goes so far to say that Black and Black RX are not the same person.
The Ryuki through Kiva don't really have a continuity to speak of, often times their story events are literally impossible to occur in other series outside of their's. They're more just stand alone characters, while Decade through Fourze have a tenuous connection through Foundation X. |
Did Foundation X already appear in Decade? I though it wasn't until W till they were mentioned.
|
Foundation X first appeared in Double that is correct.
|
Oh hey was kick and hopper beating up decade just for kicks that one early episode? It threw me off since they had voices and such.

Those actors were just available with Kickhoppers actor being Go-On Gold in Go-Onger so he was just available to do some voice over. |

And I knew he was in a Sentai! Go-Onger! Thanks! :D |
Decade was strange in that some of the characters were suppose to be AR riders, while others were the original riders...I guess.
I know that the Blade and Ryuki that Decade ended up killing in the movie were intended to be Kenzaki and Shinji respectively (btw, absolute horseshit IMO). |
How many even were the original riders? The only one I know of is Kenzaki.

Looking at the finale even the supposed "original Riders" could be looked at as alternate versions since Wataru and Kenzaki act nothing like they would have in their respective shows. |
I still don't understand the whole Rider War thing and I actually tried watching the show carefully.
I guess really the only thing I like about Decade is his driver and when he appears as himself in later movies such as the Showa vs Heisei rider film. |

Oh yeah, and Den-O, I think. |

As for Movie Taisen 2010, all riders were supposed to be the real ones in that one. (Minus AR-Kuuga, but I think they had 2 Kuugas in the movie) |

Doesn't explain Shinji, the technical pacifist, all of a sudden working with other Riders to kill Decade. |

Shinji and Shoichi are both characters that would never ever go and just kill some dude who really hasnt done anything wrong. |

But it's that it doesn't really matter. Decade begins and ends on the Rider War that yields no purpose. A giant reverse button is always hit, so everything that happens in Decade or the movies that try to explain Decade don't really matter. The Riders are out of character because Decade needs them to be so he looks more sympathetic in comparison (Or, for the time when he killed Blade and Ryuki, to look "Cool"). |
I also didn't get DiEnd world that much either, I can't find his motive to be all that spectcular.

And I don't consider the novel canon anyway. Especially not with the drama CD also suggesting that Kenzaki is not the bitter type of character. |

"But Kenzaki didn't eliminate Chalice in Blade" I didn't say it wasn't out of character. I'm just saying that Kenzaki wasn't bitter when he was portrayed in Decade... |

I mean, Kenzaki would'nt eliminate any other rider, even if it was Decade being... Decade. |

But then they'd have the issue that Tendou is too strong and Takumi is just Tsukasa with a personality. |

If they need him to be a weak, frail man hiding behind a tough exterior, he is. If they need him to be a walking god and savior to us all, he is. He's the epitome of a mary sue, perfect when he needs to be. |
the only thing i really liked about decade was the driver voice and the finishers
