Armored Might Super Megaforce Red Ranger Gallery
21 Attachment(s)
A new season of Power Rangers means new toys and today we are taking a look at the Super Megaforce Red Ranger figure from the Armored Might sub-line.
Super Megaforce Red stands at approximately 7 inches tall and has 29 points of articulation. The figure uses the same male buck as the previous Armored Might releases but with the addition of new forearms, calves, head, removable collar, and coat-tails. The coat piece around the waist does have some give to it, but it does restrict the hip movement some. Note that previously released images of the figure show painted on coat-tails but the final product has a separately sculpted piece. Unlike previous releases in the Armored Might line, Super Megaforce Red does not really come with any, well, armor. Instead, he is packed to the hilt with 8 different weapons representing Red Rangers from 7 different seasons. Red comes with the following: Super Mega Blade, Super Mega Blaster, Zeo Sword, Red Lion Fang, Delta Blaster, Magi Staff, Jungle Chucks, and Fire Smasher. Each of the weapons have a lot of sculpted detail but only the Super Mega Saber and Super Mega Blaster have any kind of paint applications. Super Mega Red can hold most of the weapons just fine, but the Fire Smasher is almost too big. It may just be my figure, but the wrist/elbow of the right arm is too loose and cannot support the weight of the weapon. This is the 6th/7th time this figure mold has been used so we may be seeing the start of some quality issues. Super Mega Red is compatible with most of the armor pieces from previous releases in the line. His collar piece is easily removable to allow for different chest pieces to snap on. Due to the prominent cuff of the gloves and boots, the figure is not able to accommodate gauntlets or lower leg armor without swapping the limb out. Overall, Super Megaforce Red is another fun addition to the Armored Might line. The idea of including weapons of previous Red Rangers is genius, but they lack the necessary paint applications to really make them pop. |
So.. It's not so muc Armored Might as Weapon Lord? :lol Still awesome though, just wish the weapons were painted.

Im hopin raz's theory of he comes with weapons from series that have Legendary Zords... That might mean we get a Jungle Fury Tiger zord. But then why wouldnt it have come with somethin from Ninja Storm or RPM?

I am REALLY liking this line of figures!
|
I was about to question the omission of the Power Sword when I remembered they just released MMPR Red in this very line. :p
Please let Super Megaforce Blue be somewhere down the line as well! |
I want this purely because of the weapons. Such a good idea to include them.

I'm really liking the idea of him coming with the previous weapons. Pretty cool way to give the effect of Gokai changes in the line.
I don't like the over muscled look and the Figuarts line practically makes this series obsolete, but it looks like a pretty decent toy. |
I really like the concept of this line, the armour swapping, the weapons included in this set etc but what are there like...four figures out right now (two from MMPR)? I might wait until the line is much older, so I can have much more creativity.
