Power Rangers Battle For The Grid Console/PC Game?
According to Tech Raptor, Nway games (the company behind Legacy Wars) is now working on a version of the game targeted for consoles and PC release titled Power Rangers Battle for the Grid.
A purported trailer for the game has leaked online as well, featuring none other than Jason David Frank. What are your thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tGS...ature=youtu.be |
Oh hey, it's Legacy Wars.
Yaaaaay. |
Awesome! Hope more of the app market looks into this.
|
Hey this is pretty neat. Gimme Vergil and I might be down for this
|
I hope the game isn't strictly pvp like the mobile version.
|
If it's only using assists from Legacy Wars but has everything unlocked from the get go and A proper progression system then fine. But if it's exactly the same as the mobile game and you need to pay up front then they'll have a harder sell especially with how much micro transactions and in game purchases have been scrutinized lately
|
Power Rangers video game track record is not that great outside of the Sega Genesis/SNES era. I'm iffy on this game so far, but I hope we get more gameplay footage for me to judge it soon. It would be nice if Power Rangers can get a good serious AAA game for once like Transformers did.

So are they only picking 15 of Legacy War's 68-strong selection or what

Welp, just did some research, Quantum Ranger isn't in Legacy Wars so now I'm NOT motivated

It's been confirmed real. https://twitter.com/shadowpiper/stat...04866135117824

even if its not super deep it seems to be more console friendly |

"Gone are overly complicated command inputs or long patterns. In this easy to learn but hard to master game, the depth is knowing when to strike, not how" |

i hope we get some more in depth gameplay soon to see what the deal is. i actually wanted legacy wars on console because of how bad the app lagged for me, so im like totally up for this either way lol |
www.battleforthegrid.com is live with a preorder link. Says April release.

They are saying it's not a port of Legacy Wars. |
Next time beat'em up game.
|
As a big fighting game fan, I'm excited. However, while I'm fine with simple systems, I just hope there's some level of depth to it so it doesn't feel like an upscaled version of the mobile game.
I know they said it's not, but I'm going to wait and see. |

As for it having simple controls. Blade Strangers has a pretty simple control scheme, and it has plenty of depth. |
At least it's cross-play so it's nice.
|
|
The "Single Story Mode" has my interest, especially as the PS4 isn't listed as having cross play so that would limit the amount of people I could connect to. Odd decision by Sony to not get involved in the cross play on this considering Rocket League has finally allowed it. Not sure what share of the market they could be expecting to protect on this game!
Looking forward to more info before I pre-order, though. |
Based on how badly broken Legacy Wars became while still, somehow, continually getting worse, I am apprehensive to say the least.
I would love a proper console fighting game, but with nWay I'm expecting more of a microtransaction simulator. |

The Power Rangers game we’ve been waiting for? I was waiting for an action game with Zords you can summon/pilot. I can take this tho.

I think despite a few different moves and what's been said, this should still be considered a partial port of Legacy Wars -- in fact, because of what was said. They didn't say it was being built from the ground up; they in fact said that they were introducing new mechanics - or rather, a new mechanic. This implies a base game to which they made changes; in much the same vein as, say, the developers of Super Smash Brothers saying what they changed in the latest instalment as opposed to the previous game. This is much less "we have a completely new game for you" and more "we've introduced a Final Smash Meter and also Ness' up air is different".

New details. |
So... uh.
- There's a tag system mechanic, similar to what was in Legacy Wars - Skins, um, exist - There's a single player mode - There's no F2P elements - There's new stuff This is stuff that's said on the website and was in the trailer, and none of it separates it from Legacy Wars. They're going to such great lengths to tell us it's definitely not a port, but then they come out and say it's basically Legacy Wars with a bit more content and adapted from a F2P to a normal system. I'm still wondering over here if it'll have Ryu. |
