And it would be cool if all their mecha transformed from heart shapes, like how Kirameiger did with jewels, Zyuohger with cubes, Shinkenger with kanji, etc. Not sure whether they'd turn into vehicles or animals. The villains' plan probably revolves around stealing peoples' love or causing them to hate each other or something... TBH I haven't thought much about the villain side, except that Silver used to be one of them as Steel Heart. |
Theme: Water/Sea Life
Kaiyo Sentai Mariner (Ocean Squadron Mariner) The general idea: 5 college students in some town near the water-like, it's a port town-find a magic seashell and hear the desperate cries of a Mermaid, the Queen of Atlantis. She's calling for help cause her sister, a jealous Sea Hag and her battalion of Sea Monsters are trying to take over the surface. Mariner Red: An 'odd' guy who goes off of his own tempo. Comes off as dumb, but simply thinks differently and can be an unorthodox sage. He really loves fishing and his main weapon is probably is fishing rod weaponized. Mariner Blue: Red's best friend and heavily implied to be romantically involved. She's tech savy and a former school delinquent. Low key Yakuza themes. Often has to drag Red out of whatever trance he puts himself in. Her weapon is a pair of brass knuckles. Mariner Green: Olympic swimmer. Arrogant guy who keeps trying to flirt with the girls, even when they're not interested. Slowly learns to get over himself. Is usually the show's butt monkey in the beginning for his attitude. His weapon is a laser pistol. Mariner Yellow: Likes to eat; seems to always have food on the mind and carries snacks everywhere. Monsters attacking food stands makes him go berserk. He's the Team's muscle-not the best fighter though, just the physically strongest. Is often paired with Green and they fight a lot; they use to be best friends, but broke up over something. Their relationship mends over the series. His weapon is a hammer. Mariner Pink: Moody guy; androgynous. Is the most skilled fighter of the original 5 cause he actually learned martial arts. Gets confused for a girl a lot and then proceeds to brutalize someone for questioning his manhood. His weapon's a bow. Mariner Black: The Crown Princess of Atlantis, has been in hiding and managed to escape to the surface from under her oppressive Aunt's thumb. She'll have a fractured relationship with her mother, claiming she's "a useless queen" and won't respect the Mariners initially, especially Red and his laid-back attitude, but she'll come around. When she appears, Green will have started to reform and will try to pursue her, with Yellow as his wing-man, even though Blue keeps warning her not to trust him. Fights with a Trident and does some funky water manipulation. Mariner White: Black's royal retainer, is duty-bound to fight by her side. Stoic, seems super serious but keeps getting in silly scenarios and setups, despite his lack of reaction. Is infatuated with Pink, is up in the air if he feels the same. His weapon is a sword-about time, I know right?-and conjures lightning. (Sorry if you don't like these Rangers in terms of their arcs and personalities; I only intended to give Red, Black, and White focus and I kept going from there. Curse my Inner Wannabe Writer!) They start with a singular Zord; Marine Captain! It's a battleship that transforms into a mech when it comes out the water. They'd get add-on mechs based off of other sea creatures, each one revolving around a mini-arc for the various rangers. Like Red needing to fish out Marine Swordfish and it turns into a sword, or Yellow Arm-Wrestling Marine Octopus, which would be some kind of lasso-like weapon to grapple foes in place. Or maybe a shoulder-mounted cannon. Black and White would have their own Zord, the Marine Sniper, which would be a submarine. ___ Also, FairyKing: I REALLY liked HeartRanger! I hope their mandatory movie airs on Valentines Day. :P (Maybe Silver/Steel Heart was the original HeartRanger, like a prototype, but he lost his Significant Other and he turned his back on the power of love.) |
Quote:
___ Quote:
As for Steel Heart, I like your "lost love" idea but I feel it might work better for a different villain... okay, I'm just spitballing here, but check this out: The main villain is some kind of mad scientist whose goal is to steal the love from people, and eventually we learn that he's doing it because he hopes to use the power of the stolen love to bring back his dead family back to life! And Steel Heart is one of his earlier attempts, an android made in the image of his son, but after completing him the scientist rejects him as "just a copy." So Steel fights the Heartrangers to try and prove his worth to his "father," until Red Heart befriends him and teaches him to believe in his own worth instead of seeking approval from someone who doesn't love him. |
Heh, thanks. Nice to know that someone thinks Mariner sounds like a fun show, if it ever was somehow made-or, at least, if I actually wrote it. XD

We can also talk about Sentai we make for crossovers, right?
Because I had an idea for an army themed sentai that is crossed over with a book series. |
Quote:
|
But anyway, I came up with Heishi Sentai Gunjinger.
Two mysterious portals open up in Japan, one leading to a fantasy world, the other a highly advanced scientific society. However, all three realms are soon invaded by an military power known as the Supreme Reich Drakel, who have combined magic and technology to invade worlds. To combat this threat, the nation's of the world construct a team that combines magic and technology in order to fight the Drakel, and this is born Heishi Sentai Gunjinger. |

Heh, kinda.
Though it's a crossover with this light novel series called Gate. |
Does the normal world of regular Japan contribute to the crossover? It seems like Japan is the load in this partnership.
|
If we're doing crossovers, how about a Sentai series with connections to a Kamen Rider series? I give you a sequel to Ex-Aid, Yugi Sentai PlayRanger!
Many years after the events of Ex-Aid, progress is being made on restoring all the victims of Kamen Rider Chronicle, and as part of that process many Bugsters are now living, working and playing in harmony with humans. However, not all Bugsters embrace this new peace, and evil Bugsters form the organization GAME OVER and unleash a second Game Virus outbreak, aided by the gigantic XL Bugsters! XL stands for Xtreme Level, totally not extra large ;) With many of the Doctor Riders either injured in GAME OVER's first attack or on missions elsewhere, the CRC, led by Director Emu Hojo, recruits a team of heroic Bugsters to fight GAME OVER on equal terms. Gekitotsu Gamer, Player Red! Daichi Bugster, the main hero of Gekitotsu Robots, who acts in a very stereotypical hotblooded hero way, but it's just an act. He actually doubts himself quite a lot, worried that he won't be able to live up to his heroic programming. GiriGiri Gamer, Player Black! Yojimbo Bugster, a supporting unit from Giri Giri Chanbara, a skilled samurai, he decides Daichi is his "lord" and swears loyalty to him. He was a very flat character in his game, and tries out many different personalities because he wants to be more complex. DoReMiFa Gamer, Player Yellow! Beebee Bugster, the starting dancer of DoReMiFa Beat 2, a cheerful and bubbly girl who idolizes Poppy Pipopapo. She likes to sing and dance even in battle (she often sings the team's theme song while fighting), and tries to balance keeping everyone's spirits up with her responsibilities as a warrior. Jet Gamer, Player Orange! Ace Bugster, the player character of Jet Combat, he's cocky and overconfident, often butting heads with the other PlayRangers, especially Daichi. Because his game is single-player only, he's not used to working with others, and gets confused when his teammates try to do things as a group. Shakariki Gamer, Player Green! Mikey Bugster, one of many playable characters from Shakariki Sports, a total show-off who'll turn anything into a competition, even challenging her teammates to see who can take out more enemies. Ironically, because she's not much of a team player, she gets along well with Ace. DragoKnight Gamer, Player Gold! Saint George Bugster, the mentor character from Drago Knight Hunter Z, an older man who sees himself as wise and tries to mentor the other PlayRangers like he did the players in his game. He's quite out of touch with the modern world and any form of technology, but when it comes to fighting monsters his experience is powerful! |
That is a really cool idea.
|
Quote:
But jokes aside, I really do like this idea! Makes me wanna stop procrastinating and just watch Ex-Aid. (But then again, I also gotta finish Gaim...) |
Quote:
And yeah, Ex-Aid is one of my favorite seasons, I highly recommend it. |
Just a random idea after listening to the Promare soundtrack more than is probably healthy: A firefighter-themed team, Moeru Sentai Pyroger!

Their mecha would be things from the games they come from. Since Red came from a robot game, his would already be a robot, and then the other core rangers would have things from their own games that could attach onto Red's robot as upgrades. Black would have a warhorse that became upgraded arms with a sword. Yellow would have a street car with big speakers that became torso armor and a cannon. Orange would have a fighter jet that became wings and a jetpack. And Green would have a motorcycle that became upgraded legs and roller skates. And the robot could have multiple upgrades at once, even all four for the full combination. Gold, being the sixth ranger, would have a larger mech that could transform on its own into a robot, and its normal form would be a European-style dragon. I'm not sure yet what their final mecha would be, but it and Red's super form should come from a new game debuting in Playranger, not one carried over from Ex-Aid. |
So, have any of you watched/read MAR? It's not important if you have or not, but it was what inspired this idea: Kibishi Sentai Marchener (Grim Squadron Fairy Tale-Rangers)
Them: Fairy Tales/Fables/Folk Songs/Poems/Classical Literature The plot would be that an ancient, magical castle would've come from the magical world, after conquering it, and would float in the clouds and try to take over this new world. They'd be ruled by 4 Evil Queens: The Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland), The Queen of Spades (Snow White's evil stepmother), The Queen of Diamonds (Witch Trude), and the Queen of Clubs (The Sorceress from Rapunzel). Their main minions would be called the 'Iron Knights' (Iron John/Iron Hans), hollow suits of iron armor. There'd probably be a 'Big Bad Wolf' or a collection of Wolf minions who are tougher than the Iron Knights, but still below the Evil Queens. Coming from this magical world would be a Fairy, who'll we'll just call Belle for now, one of the many imprisoned by the 4 Queens and would hand out Marchers, the morphing device for this season. They'd basically be rings with the ranger's respective color for their gemstones. Marchen White: Inspired by Snow White. Someone from the magical world and has been running away from the Evil Queens, especially the one who's her mother. Would be the original Marchen and would have helped rescue Belle from the Queen's keep. Physically strong due to being trained by Dwarves. Her weapon's a hammer. Would've built the Mechs, the Dwarfmen, which are, ironically, a group of giant, humanoid robots. They'd be comically shorter than the giant monsters, but would all combine into one. Marchen Red: Inspired by Little Red Riding Hood. A delivery girl, maybe pizza or something, that was attacked by one of those 'Big Bad Wolves' and originally ran away. After hiding, she'd hear someone scream for help (Marchen Pink down there) and came back and rescued her before, taking off again. She'd get a sword. Marchen Blue: Inspired by Little Boy Blue. A trumpet-blowing musician, probably plays a lot of blues or something, maybe even plays for kids when the Iron Knights comes and he does his best to hold them off so they can run away. His trumpet would turn into a gun when he transforms. Marchen Yellow: Inspired by Jack and the Bean Stalk. Comes from a more rural part of the country; a farm boy. Came to the city one day and ended up getting roped into fighting the Iron Knights and got his own Marcher. His weapon would be an axe. Marchen Pink: Inspired by Little Bo Peep. A girl who likes to collect plush toys-her favorite being a sheep-and sew. After being saved by red, it inspired her to become a Marchen and help fight back. Her weapon is a shepherd's crook. Marchen Green: Inspired by Peter Pan. An Original Marchen with Snow, but was captured by one of the 4 Queens' top soldiers, who would basically be Captain Hook. Would've either gotten free at some point or would've been freed by either White or Red. Whatever the case, he'd fight with a dagger/shortsword-like device that would double as a gun. He'd also be able to fly-in an actual show, probably with wires or something. He'd have his own Mech, the Crocman, which would be a giant crocodile that turns into a humanoid machine. Marchen Silver: Inspired by Cinderella. From the magical world, a servant of the 4 Queens' castle. Another Fairy would've gotten freed somehow, probably during the commotion of when they were saving Green. Would escape and become a Marchen, but the Fairy would be severely weakened and would only be able to keep her transformed for short periods of time before she joins the team proper. Gets her own Dwarfman. Marchen Purple: Inspired by Sleeping Beauty. Would be a 'Briar Knight' and be a threat throughout the series before being defeated and revealed to be a sleeping girl. Upon being woken up, she'd be racked with guilt and would be given the chance to redeem herself-even if nobody really blames her since she was mind controlled, but she still feels guilty and maybe keeps saying "I must atone for my sins" or some such. Would fight with a scythe. Gets her own Dwarfman, this bringing the count to 7 and creating 'Dwarfman Complete' or something to that effect. Marchen Gold: Inspired by Rapunzel. A servant to the Queen of Clubs, but would've been working on the inside to sabotage them, such as helping to free Green and the Fairy for Silver. Would've been found out and would've been needing saving, a Fairy she also freed going to the Marchen and explaining everything to them. When she becomes a Marchen proper, she'd fight with a whip. Her own mech is The Rapunzel, a humanoid mech that would have multiple whips, maybe a wrecking ball-like weapon. Marchen Black: Inspired by Prince Charming. The rightful prince of the magical world and has been helping the Marchen from the shadows throughout the series. Would've been forced into the open for an episode and would need rescuing for a change. His own mech would be a the Black Castle, which would've been the biggest mech and would be a rocket ship that turns into a humanoid form. His weapon would be a rapier. I didn't mean to make so many Rangers, but there's just so many stories that fit the theme and I couldn't help it. (And Kyuranger had, like, 12 Rangers. Don't @ me. :P) |

This is an expansion on an idea I had a while back, so here it goes.
Wakusei Sentai Solarranger (Planet Squadron Solarranger) Story: Billions of years ago, war was waged between the Guardians of the Planets and the Dark Planet Lords. Now the Dark Lords start to re-emerge and Minor Planet Guardian Ceres (a former Planet Guardian that lost a majority of her power in the war) seeks the people of Earth to take the mantle of her comrades and fight the darkness. Rangers: SolarRed, Mars (♂): A bit brash but good-natured (I like to vision him like Sasuke/NinjaRed or Kenta/MegaRed – a bit hot-headed but one who will grow-up as the story progresses – but none of the obnoxiousness like Takaharu or Lucky). The leader of the team and wields the Sword of Mars. SolarPink, Venus (♀): Red’s pretty, younger and slightly more level-headed sister, although a bit of a ditz and occasionally over-emotional. Dislikes infighting in the team and is constantly looking for a boyfriend. Wields the Venus Reflector (a shield with a mirrored surface and sharp edge). SolarSilver, Mercury (♂): Red and Pink’s childhood friend. Not the brightest of the team and acts on impulse. Very friendly with kids and animals. The fastest of the team (although physically the weakest) and wields Mercury Tonfas (with wing-styled blades). SolarYellow, Saturn (♂): A farmer with a degree of pacifism. Doesn’t want to be a ranger and having to fight, but knows that his power is necessary to fight the good fight and defend all things that grow. The strongest of the team and wields Saturn Scythes (can be wielded like Tomahawks or combined together as a double-ended scythe). SolarBlue, Uranus (♀): An aspiring pilot with a passion for flying (she wishes to go into commercial flying). Her dream of becoming a full pilot can clash with the team when battle inevitably breaks out. The brightest of the five and wields the Uranus Arrow (a bow and arrow combo). SolarNavy, Neptune (♂): A studious archaeologist and an amateur astronomy in his spare time. Believes the past to be more fascinating, so much that he would rather protect an ancient irreplaceable relic or older people than the younger generation (this naturally causes friction in the team and sometimes the bystanders chew him out for this). It is his archaeological skills that uncover a tomb containing Neptune’s power and becoming the Sixth Ranger of the team. Wields the Neptune TriKent (a trident that can convert into a greatsword or a rifle). Has his doubts about the team, to the point he thinks he would make a better leader, although he develops a soft spot for Blue. SolarOhja, Jupiter (♂): The original Guardian and leader from billions of years ago kept in deep sleep. Due to being asleep for so long and the powers of his comrades being handed down to unknown people, he doesn’t trust the rangers, and so it is up to them and Ceres to make him warm-up to the modern age. His colour is black and is equipped with the golden PlaneTector (Plan-Eh-Tector) Armour, which can be transferred to other rangers if need be (although he tends to pass it Navy as he was the one who uncovered him and protected his sanctuary). His weapon is the Jovian Blitz Staff and he possesses the Nebula Cannon, which requires all seven rangers to wield. Allies: Ceres (♀): One of the participants of the great war that devastated the Solar System, in which she sacrificed her powers to protect her old comrades. While she cannot transform into a ranger, she does possess a green kaijin-like form, but is taxing on her body so she only uses it sparely. Mecha: WakuSeiOh: The team’s main robot, comprised of five animals: Mars Lion Venus Feline Mercury Canine Saturn Bull Uranus Falcon LeviAoZin: Solar Navy’s mecha, a serpentine leviathan that can transform into its own robot form AoSeiOh. It can also combine with Pink, Silver, Yellow and Blue to form Super AoSeiOh or with WakuSeiOh to form Muteki WakuSeiOh, the latter of which wields a weapon combined from WakuSeiOh and AoSeiOh. KigoSeiOh: The team’s secondary robot, formed from six humanoid robots decked with the symbols of their respective planets (like OhBlocker). Mars Kigo Venus Kigo Mercury Kigo Saturn Kigo Uranus Kigo Neptune Kigo Jupiter Pantheon: Solar Ohja’s personal mecha modelled after its namesake. Houses Jupiter Kigo, which can combine with KigoSeiOh to form Buster Mode (gives it some over the shoulder cannons). Jupiter Pantheon doesn’t have a robot mode of its own, but transforms into Chariot Mode where the temple opens up, allowing Muteki WakuSeiOh to take its position as its rider, while the Kigos slot into side extensions on both sides of the Pantheon with Jupiter take its spot at the front. This combination is Ultimate WakuSeiOh. It can then summon spectral horses which then charge at the enemy, firing beams of energy from the Kigos before ramming into the monster, with Muteki WakuSeiOh delivering the final blow with its weapon. Villains: Resentful of the other planets bathing in the light of the sun, the Dark Planet Lords began a crusade to scour life from the Solar System and shroud it in darkness. They were sealed away at the end of the war, but not before succeeding in their objective of destroying many planets and wiping out life in the system (which forced the Planet Lord of Earth to sacrifice her lifeforce to breathe new life on her world) and now they return in the present day to finish the job if they can. In the series, there would only be one Dark Lord active at a time: Sedna (♀), Eris (♀) and Pluto (♂) in that order (Pluto was a SolarRanger before he betrayed them in a promise for power). Haumea, Makemake and Quaoar would be movie-villains before making an appearance alongside the TV trio near the end as all six perform a terrible ritual (capturing and sacrificing Ceres along with themselves) to summon the dreaded Nemesis. Two Minor Dark Lords would be present throughout as the Dark Planet Lords’ lackeys: Charon (♂) and Dysnomia (♀). |

This one started just for the pun and then grew from there: Kancho Sentai Mysteryman! (Kancho means spy.) I originally called them Mysteranger, but Sevenlima and Eddy Madison changed my mind. Because their enemies have infiltrated the government, they have to keep their identities secret.
The initial team: Myster Red! Once a lowly footsoldier of the evil organization SKULL (Secret Knowledge Ultimate Life Labs), he defected from their ranks along with one of their scientists, and together with newfound allies, he began a war to stop SKULL's evil. Serious and focused, he's trying hard to regain his sense of justice and kindness after being a minion of evil, but it's still a work in progress, and he can easily come off as too harsh. Eventually, he gets exposed to a strange meteor SKULL was using to make their monsters more powerful and more evil, and worries that he'll turn evil himself, but after realizing that power is neither good or evil and how you choose to use it is what matters, he unlocks his super form, Myster Star Red! Mys Violet! (She'll slap anyone who calls her Pink.) A star martial artist who was kidnapped by SKULL to use in their experiments, she was rescued by Red and the scientist as they escaped from a SKULL lab. Hotheaded and passionate, she'll always jump in to help someone in need, and often finds herself acting as Red's conscience when he thinks too much like a villain. Myster Blue! A private detective who was investigating Violet's disappearance, he was close to finding the SKULL lab when she, Red and the scientist escaped, and helped them get away and find a safe place to stay. Thoughtful and patient, he prefers not to act until he has a plan, so he usually either has to reign in his teammate's rashness or chase after them, but he takes it in stride. Two later additions: Mys Yellow! One of two teenage twins with psychic potential, who SKULL kidnapped to experiment on before the first three rangers rescued her and her brother in a raid on the lab. Shy and quiet, she initially lacks confidence and is scared to fight, but gradually grows more courageous with the help of the other rangers, who she comes to see as her family. Myster Green! Yellow's twin brother, SKULL successfully transformed him into a monster before he could be rescued, and it was only with his sister's help that the rangers were able to defeat him and restore his human form. Troubled and fierce, even after regaining his humanity he still has a monstrous rage that awakens in battle, but underneath that he really doesn't want to hurt anyone, he just wants to protect his sister. The true sixth ranger: Master Shadow! A robot body created by the scientist who led the initial escape from SKULL, with a copy of her own mind. The scientist was injured in the escape which left her too frail to fight herself, but she created the gear and mecha the rangers use, and built the robot so she could still fight beside them in a way. Confident and proud, the scientist and robot share the same goals and ideals, but the robot also wants to prove it's more than just a copy, which sometimes creates conflict between them. Their mecha are mostly normal-looking vehicles (I know the names aren't very creative, I'm going for a kind of old-school feel): Red rides the Kancho Bike, a motorcycle. Violet and Blue don't have personal mecha, but either one can drive the two black-colored team mecha; Kancho Racer, a sports car that combines with the Bike to make Mystery Robo, or later Kancho Hauler, a van that combines with Green's giant monster form to make Cyborg Robo or with Mystery Robo to make Big Mystery Robo. The Racer can fit a second ranger riding along, and the Hauler can fit two extra rangers. Yellow and Green don't have personal mecha, but Green can take his monster form, a green lizardman-like creature, and grow giant like any other monster. Doing so makes him go berserk until Yellow calms him down, but as part of Cyborg Robo he and the other pilots are in full control. Yellow usually rides along in the Hauler. Shadow pilots Kancho Chopper, a black helicopter that can transform on its own into Shadow Robo, and combine with Big Mystery Robo to make Sky Mystery Robo, or with Cyborg Robo to make Sky Cyborg Robo. And finally, after mastering his Star Red form, Red gains the power to summon Kancho UFO, a silver flying saucer that combines with Mystery Robo to make Cosmic Mystery Robo. |
Should we use another brands and movies video games as a inspiration for the sentais ?

And I really like the idea going on here. SKULL reminds me a lot of old school SHOCKER and I like the old school flare going on here. |
The playerranger could have Laserion influences too.

So, typically in media, the forces of Darkness are evil and those of Light are good guys. Heck, even TokQger does that. But what if we do it in reverse? I present you: Yami Sentai Shadowman! (Darkness Squadron Shadowman)
Theme: Darkness vs Light The Megacorporation Lightray has become an overnight success. What started as a small-time engineering firm pre-crash quickly became one of the single most powerful companies to ever exist. The company excels in robotics and techniques for refining metals, fuel compounds and rare earths. They have their hands in a little bit of everything, but that's what they specialize in, appearing as an altruistic organization hoping to improve life. But actually, they're force behind these monster attacks. They create these monsters and then sell people the solution to their problems. "Did a Fire-Breathing Monster give you 3rd degree burns? Not to worry, anyone hurt can have this super-cheap ointment to fix your damaged skins!" "Was your neighborhood demolished by a Wrecking-Ball Monster? We'll provide you affordable housing-for your soul-I mean, if you just sign these contracts and work in our factories." "Oh, no, these poor orphans. We'll find them a nice home." The main bad guy would appear to be the upstanding business man 'Haruki White' (or 'White Haruki'? His surname is 'White'), who would appear to be a normal man. But then he'd transform into some kind of monster and would reveal his true form, Nichiban("1000 Suns"). He'd have some kind of monstrous secretary and a head scientist. The typical minions would be the devilish Sun Eaters, with the monster of the day being some kind of mutated animal, usually ones either commonly found in cities or ones that can wonder into one/usually kept in zoos. Oh, and remember those orphans I mentioned before? They took in 5 kids and turned them into Cyborg Soldiers! A Scientist, who we'll call Dr. Black, had rescued them from the horrible laboratory that kept was keeping them in and they grow up into the Shadowmen, here to stop Lightray and take their hooks out of the world! If you can't tell, I watched a couple episodes of the original Kamen Rider before writing this... The Shadowmen transform using their Moon Rings-no, not Mood, Moon Rings. "The Shadow in the Light! Henshin!" Each ranger would carry a Shadow Gun-pretty much a laser pistol-and would have a cyborg augmentation. Maybe give them other gadgets throughout the series after Pink introduces them-see below. Helping the helpless! Red Shadow! The stoic, takes things series kind of leader. He tries to act as a shield for the rest of the team and his arc is him not being over protective of his teammates and trusting in them. His Cyborg Augmentation is "Bullet Time!" Which is what it sounds like; he moves at super speed and sees everything in slow motion. He can't do it often; he can do it once per episode, but any more than that and he'll start to overexert himself. He'll eventually overcome this limitation and will start to be able to do Bullet Time more and more until he's just straight up stopping time. Standing for righteousness! Blue Shadow! He's hot headed and often clashes with Red's more serious demeanor. Comes off as rather gruff and tough. "I can take care of myself! Stop looking down on me!" He's always smo-er, I mean chewing on tooth picks when not transformed. His Cyborg Augmentation is "Slug Rounds!" Either his knees will hold machine guns or his leg will just have one pop out in the same vein as Kamen Rider Fourze and he'll go to town. Twinkling in darkness! Pink Shadow! The smartest member of the team. When the cyborgs get noticeably banged up, she's the one who puts 'em back together. She'll often scold Rangers for doing insane stunts. Her Cyborg Augmentation is "Cyber Shield!" She'll be able to create force fields, both as personally shields, shields to protect the team and civilians, and she'll start to use them in more combat ways, like trapping enemies and smashing them into enemies. Coming to the rescue! Green Shadow! Fun loving; he knows the importance of their work, but also just wants to live like a normal person and wants to step out of the shadows and party, go to arcades, and...I don't know, have a normal job that's not just a cover for their sentai stuff. His Cyborg Augmentation is "Rocket Soul!" He has jets on the bottom of his feet and he'll fly through the air and propel himself forward at high speed. He running gag is that they're powered by milk and Red and Pink will scold him for not drinking enough milk. Emerging for emergencies! Yellow Shadow! She's a sporty tomboy; she's very competitive and tries to take out the most minions. She still wants to be recognized as a girl though and gets super angry when the other rangers don't acknowledge has such because she's not as outwardly feminine as Pink. Another running gag is Green using male pronouns with her and Yellow pretty much sending him flying. Her Cyborg Augmentation is "Thunder Knuckle!" She'll get some electrifying gauntlets and will just go and punch harder and with noticeable sparks. However, she has to be careful, if her voltage goes too high, she'll blow herself out; both seriously hurting herself and making her helpless. Later on, we'd get a 6th Ranger, the new generation cyborg soldier! He'd be an antagonist who'd be sent to deal with the rangers, but would be revealed to be a child-turned-cyborg like the rest of the rangers, and revealed to be Dr. Black's daughter. When freed, she'd become a Shadowman and would have her own built-in morpher, the Star Core! When she's not evil, she'll be incredibly awkward around the others; she's an otaku who's naturally shy and introverted. She'll have a hard time making friends, but will get along well with Pink and Red. Flashing a light upon Evil! White Shadow! As White Shadow, she'll be surprisingly agile. She'll flip, jump, kick, and will fight with the Star Sabers, effectively a katanas, and she can fight with up to two of them. Her Cyborg Augmentation will be "White Arm!" She'll grow multiple arms out of her back, each one holding their own swords. But that's not all; she'll actually have another Augmentation: "Double Henshin!" Where she'll transform again into her alternate form! Flying under the cover of Justice! Black Shadow! When in her Black Shadow form, she'll move much slower, but will hit much harder. She'll have ditched the sabers and will use the Meteor Hammer, which will be a wrecking ball like chain attached to her leg, which she'll swing around to smash into others. Her Cyborg Augmentation in this form will be "Black Fire!" Missile compartments will pop out of her back and will rain down justice from above-I mean, er, it'll fire missiles. Now for the Mechs: the initial 5 will each get a personal motorcycle which will grow into a giant motorcycle, the Shadow Bikes. It only takes three of them in order to form Moon Shadow, their giant mech. However, when a job is too big for three rangers, they'll all pool together and become Full Moon Shadow! Each bike will have a different function; Red serves as the main body and will be what connects them all. One bike will form the legs, the other the arms. Blue will have a compartment to hold an axe. Pink will be housing a gun. Green will give the mech a Rocket Punch-if he's acting as legs, he'll just enable flight. Yellow will give the mech a lasso/yo-yo attack so they can real them in. Black/White will get her own Mech, taking the form of a semi-truck. It's the Grey Hauler, even if it's just black and white split right down the middle. Depending on her form, it'll transform into either White Star, which will be more focused on physical fighting and will have a nodachi sword and drill knuckles, or will become the Black Star, which its main weapon will be an arm cannon and heavier armor. And she'll also be able to pick up the Shadow Bikes and use them as weapons. |

All this talk of dark Sentai made me want to take one of my earlier ideas and flesh it out more. Let me re-introduce you to the Kowai Sentai Monstranger!
In ancient times, monsters walked the earth and openly preyed on humankind. But as human civilization grew and advanced, monsters retreated into the shadows, living on only as legends. In time, many found they preferred that peaceful existence. But when the grim reaper Lore Dread is reawakened from his slumber, and tries to force a return to the old age of conflict and fear, five young monsters will rise up to protect both humanity and their own kind! Vampire Red! A hopeless romantic who falls in love with every pretty girl (and sometimes guy) he meets. He has quite a chivalrous attitude, both to his many love interests and his duties as a hero, and carries himself with a stylish charisma that makes people instinctively want to follow him. However, sometimes his romantic nature and focus on chivalry and style can be used against him, and despite several people returning his feelings, the burden of keeping his monstrous true nature secret has kept him from having any lasting relationships. Mummy Yellow! A princess who never lets anyone forget she's a princess. Proper, honorable and proud, sometimes she can be arrogant and hold herself above others. Despite monsters now living in the shadows, her family raised her to rule, and so she's been well trained in leadership, tactics and combat. But underneath her high-and-mighty exterior, she really cares deeply for the people around her, but is just not every good at expressing it because of her isolated royal upbringing. She regularly clashes with Red over who should lead the team, and envies how easily he gets people to like him. Franken Pink! A shameless otaku obsessed with computers and video games. Her enthusiasm can range from adorable to obnoxious to downright creepy sometimes, but she doesn't really care how other people react to her. She ships Red and Yellow, interpreting their clashes as lovers' quarrels. And while she's not the one who created the Monstrangers' equipment, she tinkers with it all the time and repairs it when it gets damaged. (It's late now, so I'll get to the other rangers, a blue werewolf and a green mermaid, and their mecha tomorrow if I can.) |

Pretty Soldier Sailor Rangers
This would sort of follow Super Mega Force / Pirate series. The story would continue off Boom's Shattered Grid. Story 5 Sailor Guardians use their powers to morph after Darken destroys the Grid and nearly wipes out all the Rangers. Now the new Sailor Moon (87 TMNT April) and Sailor Serenity (Usagi) and 3 Guardians must Morph up to protect Earth. With the Power Rangers disconnected from the Grid , April and the Guardians are the last chance for Earth to survive. |
