S.I.C - Super Imaginative Chogokin & Sub-Lines
Anyone into SICs? I'm currently only collecting the SIC Kiwami Tamashii.
Vol 21. Wolf Orphnoch recently got released. Here to share some of my pics. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7033/6...7e10b6a093.jpg Wolf Orphnoch by Clement Soh, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7005/6...3194dbfc6d.jpg Wolf Orphnoch w/ Faiz by Clement Soh, on Flickr |
I plan on getting the Hibiki ones on HLJ with an order I plan on making, although it sucks that most the ones before the second set of Blade figures are pretty hard to find now.
|
I have all the non-web exclusive W S.I.C's. One day I hope to get all the Kiva & Kabuto S.I.C's.
Hoping for some OOO's one as well. |
I used to collect up to vol 35 but sold off my entire collection. Recently took over a collection of SIC KT from my buddy so stuck to the more economical solution. :p Kind of love the small scaled SICs.
|
Probably my favorite line, I've got all the main riders that have been released in the KT line along with a handful of alt forms/ 2ndary riders, I've also got 5 of the full size ones.
Beyond the fact that its my favorite line, its a whole lot easier to collect than figuarts; preorders hardly ever sell out instantly like figuarts do, there's fewer releases during the year which definitely helps counterbalance the higher prices (only like a 1000 yen higher than figuarts, so not that much higher) and they are more likely to go on sale. I think I got the Decade version of Kuuga for right around 2000 yen. Really looking forward to seeing what they do next, I wonder how they'll approach OOO. |
I acctually have a question about the full sized S.I.C.s, I heard that they were quite fragile, does that include the Ryuki ones? I am tempted to get some of those.

I wouldn't throw them against the wall and expect them to survive, but all the full size ones I have are incredibly solid with excellent construction and sturdy materials. |
|
@OtoyaKurenai... ahh UMC has arrived.
|
haha you reconized that pic
|
I'm a fan of the smaller SIC KT line, the figures are very close to my favorite scale (3 3/4") and have amazing detail and articulation for their size. All I have is Momotaros and Blade Jack From but I really want to get more, mainly Blade King Form.
|
So, do we have any word on whether the Horse Orphnoch's being released with his centaurhalf, or do you buy two to get one character?
|
Super-1 showed up today. This figure is really superb. only complaints are that that they reverted to the ball and socket style wrists and on my figure the right arm's shoulder pad likes to pop off.
Anyone else having this problem? I can't figure out whats causing it. |

If there are any Rider designs that lend themselves better to SIC than those two, I don't know/can't remember them.

I actually just got into these, and hlj has a sale on them.I have enough to get two of the Kiwami Tamashii line, but they dont have alot. Was wondering if someone could give their opinions on the ones they have.
Kamen Rider Blade Jack Form Kamen Rider Blade King Form Kamen Rider Garren Kamen Rider Agito Ground Form Kamen Rider Kaixa Momotaros Imagin Those are the ones Im intrested in.I can get two, just wanna know everyones opinion on loosness, accessories, any kind of problems with any of them. |

- Blade/Blade Jack's shoulders are really limited due to how the shoulder pads are attached. My regular blade's right arm falls off at the elbow with minimal force, although I don't know if that's an issue with Jack form. - Garren's Rouzer handle is too big to fit in the hole formed by his finger and thumb without breaking the thumb off. It will stay connected since the fingers are fused together, but it's a pain. I've got a stress mark on one of his wrist ball joints, too, which may lead to it breaking off sometime in the future. I've had no problems with any of the others you have listed. |

The Blade figures in general have highly restricted shoulders, but Blade himself has an absolutely gorgeous metallic paint job, Jack is cool for the wings and King, well, if I recall, his paint was slightly weak and there's a peg hole on his back for his sword, which is nice in terms of functionality but breaks the sculpt a little. Nonetheless, King's design is really cool. Generally speaking though, the Blade KTs are weak compared to other KTs. But if you can get them at a sale price, they're decent for what they are. Kaixa's neat with his plethora of accessories. The blade tends to attach rather loosely to his gun/sword hilt, but no biggie. He looks a little chunky but hey, he's Kaixa, I don't care. He's my tiny lil' bastard Kamen Rider. KTs releases tend to be a roller coaster in terms of playability. Hibiki, Den-O, Agito and Faiz releases are good. Blade and Ryuki are limited in their posability. Garo you should skip. |

Momo just plain looks good, though personally, his shoulders are a bit stiff on mine. But nothing major. Kaixa is good overall, his shoulders aren't that restricted despite the shoulder pads, and he comes with a load of accessories. Agito is good as an overall figure but he lacks accessories. |
I think for my first two, thanks to the input,I'm gonna go with kaixa and agito.Agito for the fact of his possibility and he's a "pure" kamen rider (in my terms,a kamen rider that doesnt need any accessories to be good),and kaixa, just cause he sounds like a good figure with accessories and a decent mold.If any of you guys know of any other sites that sell any of the older kt series, please lemme know and ty for all your advice.

Oh derp me,what about Agito trinity form?does anyone have him or has had any problems with him?

Dang, SIC Kintaros and Ryuutaros look very out of scale with each other.

For anybody who owns the SIC Amazon and Jungler set would the Jungler happen to work well with SH Figuarts Amazon or is the scale completely wrong? I know the design is quite a bit different from the normal Jungler but my Amazon needs a bike damn it! :lol

:Lol
I found that set, sealed, for 6000 yen before shipping. I am VERY tempted by it. I knew it was a dumb question to ask scout the scale though. I still haven't picked up any SIC figures yet but as far I knew they were pretty large. Thanks for the input. I think im probably gonna go ahead and take the plunge and buy it before it dissapears on me. |

As I said it was stuck on mine and because of the sculpting it just looks like an overlapping plate. edit: here's some images from hacchaka's review: http://www.gundammodelkits.com/wp-co...acchaka-15.jpg http://www.gundammodelkits.com/wp-co...acchaka-16.jpg Speaking of the waist joints, there are a kind of odd series of joints going on, he has a ball joint at the waist and a hinge halfway down inside the crotch. I don't really know what the hinge is for and the only other SIC I've got that has the same joint is the decade edition of Kuuga. |

Not to step on CookSux's toes, but I've posted my first figure review, and it just happens to be Super-1!
