Power Rangers Beast Morphers Episode 3- "End Of The Road!" Discussion
Zoey tries to convince the citizens of Coral Harbor to use Morph-X powered bikes instead of cars, but Blaze uses this opportunity to execute an evil plan.

This episode was kinda dumb, but in all the best ways. Like seeing some conflict between the villains as they fight for Evox’s favor.

3 episodes in and no Megazord? WTF?!

It probably helps that they have a lord of footage with the indivual mechs only, but I like that they are still using the other fights. |

Honestly, Beast Morphers has surprised me. I expected this episode to show a major drop in quality and put more reliance on Japanese fight scenes. But it didn't. Yeah the environmental message was obvious and the bike chase was a bit goofy. But it worked. And the amount of original footage was a welcome change after the last few seasons.
If Beast Morphers can keep this up, it'll be the best season we've had in a long time. |
This episode is more along the lines of what I was expecting from Beast Morphers. That being said, despite the usual underbaked "save the environment!" plot, and the lack of any significant development, I actually still enjoyed it. If this becomes the standard of quality for this show going forward, I'll have some words later, but endearingly stupid bike chases are enough to placate me for the moment. A Power Rangers show is allowed some dumb filler every now and then.

Needletron was originally a Metaroid targeting a hospital, and gets vaporized in P.R. before the episode finds itself with bikes and forests! The Robotrons are currently the easiest-to-destroy "monsters" in P.R.!
This season doesn't hesitate to do its own thing! The Beast Bots still aren't doing enough. I didn't mind this one, but it has its unrealistic moments. P.S.: There apparently isn't a newbie next week due to Nick's Kids Choice Awards! WTF, Nick!? |
i liked that there was any nuance to the generic environmental message (giving an actual reason with the animals, the general reaction most new tech has to face, the political aspects), even if it still wasn't great, and there was any character stuff going on in relation to Blue and the villains. Overall, still pretty good
