Uh...what? Another upgrade next week?
|
probably it is just little power up,
not significant upgrade. |
New KR died like a little biotch though.
I wish dodo 5 comes back. |
Ikazuchi died too fast but his first appearance was pretty cool. In 5 minutes he has already used more finishers than Jin in all his appearances haha.
Not that I am complaining, but damn these super forms are setback central. First Shining Hopper and now Assault Wolf? In the case of Assault Wolf it seems like it's really fucking up Fuwa's body. The Assault Wolf debut was phenomenal. That choreography was just top quality. Things are really coming to a head. I'm excited for another Yuya Takahashi Christmas! |

As for Fuwa, his body couldn't withstand the new upgrade probably because he skipped right to using upgraded Progrise key with Assault Grip. Had he used the Assault Wolf key by itself first, without Assault Grip, his body would have adapted to the new power gradually. In the next episode Aruto probably will be able to better withstand the Assault Grip's power because in the previous episode he already tasted how much physically taxing the Shining Hopper key was. Upgraded keys used by itself without the Assault Grip will only give additional power, without brutal side effect. And without the ability to withstand the power of the Ark. |
My first thought when Ark's central core glowed red followed by Assault Wolf's chest piece glowing red was.
YABEI! |
We got Zio Verde actor from. Ryuki spinoff. Last time it was yuya from gaim and even kintaros from deno. A lot of minor actors are still passing by like the gal from sentai who played neo dekayellow.

Didn't expect Ikazuchi to go out quickly. That suit looked good. I mean most of the suits in Zero-One look good of course. Including Assault Wolf.
I guess we're in the second arc of the show now with Ark reviving? And Thouser can't be far behind now too. |
I guess Fuwa is part of metsuboujinrai.net now connected to their network.
|
So Shining Hopper pushes the body past it's limits, and Assault Wolf messes up your body because it was made to be used by a machine.
Combining them into Shining Assault Hopper is either going to cancel out those two downsides somehow, or utterly wreck Aruto's body. |
Well, true to most rider seasons, it will probably wreck his body badly....
Also is this season secretly a rider war ? |
Okay, I do hope some of this gets explained later because I don't really get how snatching Progrise Keys and transferring their power into the Ark resulted in the creation of the Assault Wolf key.
But aside from that, I liked this episode. Introducing the astronaut brothers via the bike was cute, and I do like how they actually give Fuma a trigger for his rage so his attitude towards Aruto doesn’t come off as too sudden. I have to say though - Assault Wolf's debut was lame. I hope this suit gets a bit better use down the road. And lastly - there's apparently one last leading Humagear among Metsubojinrai.net, and I hope he plays a bigger role later. For some reason I have a feeling he's related to Zaia. |
Considering the opening though, the last member might end up being Izu, without her knowing anyways.

Considering the last member, I thought i'd be Aruto's "dad" where it not for the Zero One X Zi-O movie.
Raiden kind of reminds me of a certain Protein obsessed rider, in speech and mannerisms. |

I loved Fuwa's "why do you guys have a wolf? If it's got a wolf on it, it's mine" bit, even if it doesn't really explain why the Ark chose a wolf. If it was to be used by Horobi or Jin, Assault Scorpion or Assault Falcon would've made more sense. Unless Fuwa getting that key was somehow part of the Ark's plan, or maybe Shooting Wolf originally was used by MJ.net too... I'm very curious what Gai means by "the mythology of the Kamen Riders." Could my theory about him using this whole conflict as a propaganda tool actually be right? |
It's the first episode i'm really angry at.
The last 3 or 4min were so amazing (anything that goes from Assault Wolf henshin debut to the end). But everything else before. What a piece of crap of writing. So many plot conveniences. 1) The not-a-spy guy is indeed the spy without him knowing, he was coded with some kind of leaking information orders (and later with "lead protags to daybreak please" because that needs to be explained if he wasn't aware) but after he transforms into his rider form his personality is like he was always a MJ.net general. It doesn't make sense 2) Hate when an upgrade of a base form is a complete coincidence. If Yua had been working on an upgrade for Fuwa or what, it would tell you something about the character and all. But no. The antagonists satellite decides by itself to be a wolf key, and conveniently the key is dropped by Jin near the wolf based rider so he can use it. URGH it makes me angry... 3) And of course the progrize keys thing. "oh no I dropped my progrize keys and the antagonists got them all to do a plot thing, but don't worry antagonists will drop them again right away when they're done and you can get them back except the ones from MJ.net generals of course haha". Like I said. Except the last 3 or 4 minutes. It's a big NO. |

I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll do with the key though - if he ends up unwillingly cultivating it for Metsubojinrai.net’s further use that could be a huge impact for him. Quote:

Yes, it is very convenient that they're looking for a spy and the spy decides to chew out Aruto for his bike-usage at the same time, but it's still not that terrible IMO. Quote:
However: By having Fuwa use a key made by Metsubojinra.net he will unwillingly aid them and I'm very much looking forward to how that's all going down. Quote:
Like: Dodo picks up mammoth after beating Shining Hopper. Horobi picks up shark after defeating Zero-One, slowly but surely he's losing a few keys until Ikazuchi takes like two this week and they have enough. That would've been a cleaner way to handle things. |
Horobi has to be orchestrating all of this. I don't want to believe that Jin and Horobi did nothing but stood by while Ikazuchi was getting outclassed. Maybe they need more data on the Assault Grip or something. I don't want a repeat of Phoenix and Medusa in Wizard where they did absolutely nothing for the first quarter of the show aside from looking threatening.

Great episode as usual. Thinking to show us the guys who have to put Zero-One's bike back into space is a typical genius-level Takahashi idea, although it makes me further question why Aruto's phone doesn't directly turn into the bike when it was clearly designed to. I actually heard there's this genius physicist guy who totally figured this out like two years ago already, Hiden should really get in touch with him. :p
Anyways, the way it leads into a larger plot is quite fun, and Ikazuchi was a fun surprise. I presume he's going to be around for at least a bit, which is cool, but I'm confused as to why nobody thinks to grab the dang Dodo Key at the end. I get that Aruto is naturally going to be focused on helping Fuwa out, but Izu just takes her sweet time picking the Authorize Buster off the ground before leaving with everyone else. Are you guys trying to clear the company's name or not?! What's also a mystery is why the Ark can pump out a new Progrise Key in like five seconds after just waking up from a coma when it takes Zea's sluggish systems like a whole day bare minimum. I guess Hiden pumped all their money into that first satellite and Zea is just the cheap replacement. Oh, and more importantly, it's a mystery why it makes a Wolf Key, but, come on, this is Yuuya Takahashi we're talking about. Whereas in most shows, the throwaway dialogue we get here would be the explanation, with him it usually means there's a proper one coming later. I'm gonna wait until we know what the Ark's deal is before I get too upset about that. I hate to even suggest this, because on the face of it, I hate this theory, but uh, all you "Fuwa is totally a robot" peeps? We've never seen how he survived Daybreak, and we happen to be missing one member of MetsubouJinrai, which is something [I]Fuwa[I] points out? In this episode where it's shown that someone who survived Daybreak was basically allowed to do so to serve the bad guy's purposes? I'm not saying it's going to happen, or that all of that will play into it, if it did. I'm just saying the will of the Ark might be a little more layered than we think. For my regularly scheduled disagreement with Kiwami, I also liked Assault Wolf's debut quite a bit. It's not as flashy as Shining Hopper's, but the fact that it went in basically the polar opposite direction, showing Vulcan as this sturdy tank, shrugging off all attacks as he inevitably closes in on his foe, made for a nice contrast, and befitted a character motivated by pure, single-minded rage. It's a short but sweet scene. Granted, it doesn't hurt that I still think Vulcan's BGM is the absolute bomb. Fuwa could be making a pie to that music and I'd say it's intense. Quote:
While this one is more of an assumption on my part, I also got the impression the "some kind of leaking information orders" was simply MetsubouJinrai hacking him so that whatever data Raiden gets is also fed directly to them. Like spyware, you know? |
Well, next week we'll know if 01 shining <assault hopper = assault wolf. The way the keys work make it seems like it not a fusion of wolf, bur controlling or communicating with the first arc. Again, Xmas arc close with new rider villains like grease and last year woz. N
Maybe there will be the 4the member Metsubojinrai. The true hidden leader. I prefer if the sleeper spy actually regain his memory as jin's bro or something instead of the typical brainwashing. Dodo #5 is still lurking around possible following his dancing dream or he'll become even powerful dodo like graphite. |
With the Assault Grip tapping into the Ark, I wonder if it records the fight data from Fuwa and eventually, Aruto when using it.
|
it was a decent enough episode. Arutos 'comedy' and silly faces and noises I admit are starting to get a little irritating.
When Wolf caught the new gun, then fell into a roll and ended it with pressing the gun barrel against Dodos chest in one smooth move,.....well..... that was a pretty damn smooth move. *cheers* |

I do. Barely. |
At the start it felt like he was making one of those jokes once an episode or more. It's already declining, I expect they'll get even rarer as the series goes on. But as annoying as the jokes were, I did like the dynamic of Fuwa, of all people, being the only one who found them funny.

Now it makes sense why Raiden survived the Daybreak, while other Humagears (barring Horobi and other mastermind(s)) were destroyed. He was intentionally left there by MJnet so that he could infiltrate Hiden later. I don't know why Hiden chose to continue employing him after the Daybreak. If I were the CEO of Hiden, I'd have destroyed all the remaining Humagears. All of them were compromised, except Aruto's dad and Wazu. It was a bad decision. |
I hope so. That and the, 'EEHHHHYYYYYY??????' (Extreme close up of his face),... can go away and I'd be pretty happy.
I really like Zero-One as a Rider, I like the fighting and the costumes and the acrobatics, I like the way (crap, I forgot her name), spins the progrise key before she Henshins,... I like SO MUCH about this show.. but the bad joke gag, and the 'EEHHYY!?'(close up) thing is so irritating. ...I know, first world problems. I guess it just bugs me more because I like the rest of it so much. I'm even thinking about buying the Driver Belt and so far I've only ever bought Build's and 'W's belts. |

I try to only get the favorites, that are available.
I'd like a Kuuga or a 1971 v1 Rider belt, but they're hard to find, and expensive. |
