Uchu Sentai KyuRanger Episode 13- "Stinger Challengers His Brother!" Discussion
The newest Jark Matter Daikan has subjected Earth citizens to a toxin turning everyone into zombies. Stinger believes he recognizes the source...
As always you can view this episode via live stream on Saturday by heading over to Taima TV. They play other miscellaneous programs up until the live broadcast starts. Live Streams of the Superhero Time block start at 5:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on Saturdays. |
This is surprising, only one Yossha Lucky this ep.
Hoshi Minato will make an appearance next ep |
Now this was excellent. Less about Lucky and more about other characters and more of their development.
Pietty the next episode won't directly follow on it. |
I liked this episode. But am I the only one that gets the feeling that Ryu Commander's helmet is a remold of KyoryuViolet? :lol

"Stinger challenges his brother!"
Proceeds to not have the 2 interact for even a second outside of flashbacks |
This was such a good episode that I forgot that I was watching Kyuuranger.
Stinger and Champ becoming a team, the first-person perspective during the fight scenes, Ryu Commander slacking off during the battle and then still nailing a Jack Matter goon, Lucky throwing his sword into a Malister and giving Poison and Ring Star their Axe and Spear, Scorpio starting a zombie infection and later rider kicking his own subordinate. Pity. Because I'm sure we won't get anything as good as this again. Although I hope to be proven wrong. |
So next episode, seems like Hiroya Matsumoto, Mr. Magi Yellow/Beet Buster himself will be making a guest appearance as the gold alien pop sensation with a fro.

A Stinger/Champ story that wasn't overshadowed by Lucky?
YOSSHA L.... *(ahem...sorry)* AWESOME. MORE! |
Wow, an actually good-ish episode. Sadly like one out of three so far.
While I enjoyed the lack of Lucky and the focus on Stinger and Champ, I feel like they waited way too long for this. Do you really want me to believe Champ swallowed his anger for this long, and that Stinger was chill enough to simply let this guy hate him for no reason even though he had a perfect answer commander John Longbow could back up at any time? Screw you Kyuranger. For some reason, I want to believe Stinger is actually that kind of person who gives zero fucks at all times and that he simply avoids the topic entirely (and Fish Sandwich will write three paragraphs trying to convince it's actually the case) but this is not how things work. They're both Kyurangers, and even though the commander isn't going to do anything about it himself a problem this big between two team members would not have simply sat there for like a month until Scorpio shows up. Especially not when the answer is so easy. So yeah, that aside I liked it. Amazing how this show can shine if Lucky shuts the hell up and they actually focus on other characters for a short while. Plus I feel like the action this week was better than usual too. Some cool ego-perspective shots and a rather creative use of Kyu The Weapon. |
To go with my helmet theory, I want to make this statement. Even in a Sentai series, Yuki Kubota is still doing Rider Kicks. :lolol
