SuperHeroTime Hiatus Announced
As expected, new episodes will be postponed due to COVID-19.
next week, Kiramager airs Episode 0 while Zero-One does a "Presidents Special" clip show. https://twitter.com/junichi_yama/sta...82815494963201 |
It's not just next week -- it's the next three.

ONORE COVID19!!! |
Kinda disappointed the "President's Special" isn't just a clip show of all the asshat Company president Riders we've had over the years. Genm, Chronus, Zangetsu, Steve Bills. All our favourite cast!
Still, a recap will be nice. Maybe it'll give them a chance to recontextualise past stuff with what we've learned from the characters since. |
This was bound to happen sadly. Oh well. All we can do is grit and bear it.
|
3 weeks shouldn't be that long, right?
Hopefully this doesn't cut the shows short and yes; ONORE COVID19!!! |
A perfect time for alluding izu intention or whoever design her/ reprogram her to do as imply in openings and early show rumors. Kind of like the thosuer duo parts specials with some scenes feature izu in flashback in indoor sets scheming or foreshadowing. It might change the outlook of the series again like fuwa's past becoming a blank slate. I guess no summer movies and a rush end or more focus /less filler for last batch of episodes when they start shooting again perhaps in June or July.

About damned time, and I hope this means filming stopped weeks ago. I love toku, but it's nothing without the people who make it.
|
Perfectly understandable and welcome decision. We can wait, there's enough stuff to do to kill time. Enough workouts to do, enough books to read, enough shows to watch and enough games to play.

Heh I was just about to ask about the long haired Izu.
Btw do you think with these delays Kamen Rider will be back to premiering in October like Gaim, or perhaps even extended and it goes back to January? Heavily unlikely on that one, Kamen Rider's recipe of success is that it premiered on Fall. |

Toylines are planned months in advance, though, and the next Rider’s toys will already have been planned for release...the show is also written/filmed very close to being aired, so... It’s anyone’s guess whether they will abridge the end of Zero-One to have the new series start when it was planned to, or push the toyline back so that the new show can start later. I suppose they’ll pick whichever option loses them less money. |
Well, let's not forget the reason Kamen Rider premiers in Autumn -- so it doesn't compete with Super Sentai.
If Kamen Rider's show and toyline both get pushed back for Covid related reasons... the the exact same reasons would apply to Sentai. The two would get pushed back by the same amount. |
The biggest change to my perspective will be that it'll be harder for Rider to have it's big, dramatic story arc ending on the week before New Years now.
|
I think with this announcement, the summer movies are pretty much dead.

Guys...the Summer Movie isn't cancelled. Not yet anyway - they're still being promoted on the Toei website.

The more I thought about it, the more unlikely it seems they will have filmed and have new episodes ready in just three weeks. Makes me wonder what are they gonna fill the time-slot with after these clipshows. For Rider... The hyper battle dvds? Well, probably just re-runs of the first few episodes like Sentai.

Reason I say this is because we've seen Ark-Zero and KiramaSilver in scans. So they have at least 1 more episode ready to go, but since those were from May's issue I think they have a few more on the backburner. |

I also fail to see your point with the second thing. You're saying that, so far, all Kamen Rider V-Cinemas have focused on other riders from the show rather than the main one (which is fair, it's true)...but as I, and others, have already told you, the same is true of the winter crossover movie. It focuses primarily on the new Rider, and is usually even written by their writer as well. This year's winter movie will focus primarily on Zero-One's successor, regardless of whether or not Zero-One's summer movie is cancelled. If it is cancelled, it will either be released as an 'extra' V-cinema, it's story will be incorporated into Zero-One's Heisei Rider Novel, or it just won't get told. |
Glad to see a country actually taking this seriously.

I was starting to wonder if they had filmed far enough in advance to ride out the worst of the pandemic. Hope the casts and crews stay safe!
|
Guess I have no excuse to not catch up now.
|
How is everyone filling the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider void with no new SHT for now?

TV- Asahi will resume filming this month, but an exact release date for the return of shows is still pending.
|
So what'll be airing in the mean time? Reruns? I know the specials are set to end soon.
|
So Zero One's probably going to end in 45 episodes, the same as Ex-Aids. Ironic since it's the same head writer.

Hooray!

New Ultraman and Kamen Rider + Super Sentai returning all on the same weekend - awesome!
|
Kiramager is continuing where it left off with episode 11 but Zero-One gets another special, episode 35.5
I wonder if that has anything to do with it being so close to the end and them needing to make some changes to make up for the missing episodes. |
