That was a fun episode! It was funny seeing another side of Kogure. Plus the Lupin Magnum mecha debut was really fun. Some of the miniatures they used were super cool.

It's a good and bad episode. Patrranger reduce role like always making cops pathetic even when it's their focus episode, which usually are fillers. The kogure part is touchy with the music, but I wish they reveal some plot details or foreshadowing. I was expecting the good or evil side bluntly blurt out some revelation. The camera editing and the actor's expression make it seems like he lied about the wish and now regret it. It seems like collecting the pieces is his selfish objective or maybe a plan for better good. Who knows? Also, the mecha is sentinel yet not at the same time? This would be a good episode if it took place like 10 episodes ago. Character development is good, but it's about time We need some plot development. It's the ice guy zamigo still relevant? Did something happen to his actor? Other offers and opportunities? Anyway, nice unique mecha battle even though the cgi are below the usual standard.

I still annoyed to Zamigo's absence in this series. If he is one of main villain in this series, why his absence is really long?

So Kogure was human indeed, I had my doubts. He's too shady for his own good, still.
Nice practical effects with Magnum, too bad they push CGI between cuts. And for once we had characters just close to the giant battle and it was good, the scale of the blow and the dirt put the fight scene on another perspective. It worked well, it should happen more often. Mandatory weekly comment : Zami-who ? |
I enjoyed this more than Zi-0 this week surprisingly.
It had great action, some nice moments and an underground mecha battle which was a highlight, what more could you ask for? ...oh yeah, the Police. I think this is a classic case of "Our Toys are not selling enough, put more of the popular Team" But I don't mind. |
