Legacy 2016 Figure Images
10 Attachment(s)
Found on Twitter. First images of the new 2016 Legacy figures featuring MMPR Red/Green and Ninja Storm Red/Yellow/Blue.
They were listed on Walmart.com but not anymore. |
They look a'ight. Still way too chiseled for my liking. They're not built like billboards, but they're still just too swol.
|
Meh, I was expecting a lot better when they were first talked about. They still look like muscled super heroes rather than Japanese men in spandex.
I'll stick with my Zyuranger Figuarts, but I will most likely bite when they do the Alien Rangers/Kakurangers. They could have at least given them additional hands. It is, however, a step in the right direction. |
I quite like them, I'd prefer them to be less buff, yes, but they'll fit in great with my Marvel Legends shelf.
|
Was this the line with the a Build-A-Megazord thing that we weren't allowed to have pics of back at ToyFair?

I didn't mind the 5 inch figures that they have been doing recently and so I really like these figures. If they do end up doing every season then I will definitely bite. They look really good and I can't wait to get them.

Never was expecting Figuarts but at least make them a tad less... Innacuratly proportioned. At least it's not like the Armored Might figures. *shudder* |
That slit in the skirt is making me highly optimistic for the female figures having hip and leg articulation on par with the males, I just wish they would of showed it off in these pictures. Not liking that they look to have no ankle tilt :/
Edit* Skirt slit i'm referring to was in a picture on the Neo-Saban Power Rangers youtube video posted earlier this morning. |
Figuarts they are not, but I'll buy any extra heroes or 6th+ rangers they make to fill the gaps in my collection.

The articulation on these look pretty good, would be interested if they do the Turbo Rangers.
|
So...is the MMPR Red Ranger going to come with more that his blade blaster in holster mode?
If not, that's pretty lame. Not even his Power Sword? Otherwise, I agree with people that they look good, but could still be a bit less buff or oddly proportioned. |

God I fucking hate that scene. |

Can't not have MMPR on the shelves, after all. |

You know Matrix, this is also probably the closest you'll get to Geki Figuarts. |

And Ran, who has a similar build, going through 2 liposuction and a breast enhancement. I'm just...So excited. |
I like these more than the retail figures just based on the articulation alone. I can get behind these for a test buy. Hopefully enough people get behind these too.
|
One thing's for sure, I love that MMPR Green Ranger.
He'd go perfect with Legacy Dragonzord. |
They don't look horrible, but still a little disappointingly too bulky. I don't know, might be a release at some point that tickles my fancy.

*looks at figures and comments* True, Figuarts they are not. And yes they are still inaccurate, physically. But overall they're like one step down from a Figma. And I'm good with that.
|
Wonder if they'll go back and do the original MMPR movie suits too. Would hate to find out new 6 inch more articulated figures will be released in the future after just getting half of the current legacy ones.
|
Hm. They're ok. I wish they were more accurately proportioned, as is they're fine, but at what will likely be 20 bucks a pop, ehhhh. Maybe if the RPM ones (if they make them) look good I'll get those.
|
Hmmmm
If these scale well with Figuarts and they make Rangers that never made in Figuarts I'd possibly be down for these. |
If they're Figuarts sort of size, I'd be interested in getting that blue Ninja Storm Ranger. Also a Shurikenger if they make one.

Of course I'm just going by a certain statement during the announcement of this series at Toyfair mentioning, "Every... Ranger... Ever!" ;) |
I was reading through comments for these things before seeing the pictures and was expecting something way worse :lol
They're much better than I thought they'd be, the proportions are a little irksome and they're obviously no Figuarts, but considering those proved too unprofitable to continue with and compared to what we usually get in terms of figures? I'd have to wait and see how the finished versions turn out and I'm not sure I'd want to mix and match with Figuarts of the same team, but to fill out ranger teams we never got? They seem like a pretty good alternative. I could see myself at least buying some of my favourites. |
Not crazy loving them. Every time I look at the pictures theyou look a little less great.
They put out Dairanger for any reason though and I'll buy two of each. |
They look far more than serviceable from a toy stand point. The articulation scheme is more or less what I was expecting. I am surprised that they seemingly possess ankle rockers from the "action" pose the MMPR red has. I wish they would include extra hands, but this is an industry wide desire of mine. The muscular sculpts aren't to the usual heroic proportions that they tend to slant towards, and as such don't bother me in the slightest. I'm looking forward to them as long as the line doesn't get abandoned before the Dino Thunder and Jungle Fury teams get completed.
|
Guys, what's worse. The girls being skinnier, or the guys looking like they surgically inserted 30 pounds of steak into their chests?
|
Those look realy good, imho. Not quite realistic in their musculature, but their proportions are still a huge improvement over BoA's usual stuff. I'll definitely be getting some of these. I'm even tempted by the Ninja Storm figures, and I've never watched that series.
I really hope this line continues on for a good long time. I definitely want to see the Lightspeed Rescue Rangers made. Figures like these for the new movie Rangers would be nice as well. Especially if for them they also made a figure of Rita. Quote:

So Alien Rangers are gonna be made if the line succeeds. It's why the Thunder Megazord is in a bit of a weird spot, as it's the only "Main" megazord whose team uses the old suits. Also, while the Shogun Megazord was in use by the time the Alien Rangers arrived, the Ninja Megazord was the primary for that season. |
