KR Kabuto toys quesion
Hey all.
So I'm still fairly new to the universe of toku-oriented toys, having only a handful of items around from when I was a MMPR fan back in the 90s. However, I have recently been educated in the way of KR stuff being AMAZING and hence am endeavoring to inundate myself with as much of it as possible. To get to the meat of the matter, I'm combing online for KR Kabuto's Perfect Zecter, the sword itself along with the three other Zecters to go with it. The thing that's currently got my attention is the so-called "exclusive" version, which not only has the three other Zecters but their accompanying items as well (Sasword's blade, Thebee's wrist brace, Drake's handle). Now I know the regular DX version of the Perfect Zecter is out there and comes with the other three Zecters for a much lower price, but I've never seen any of these listed with the other items that would complete the henshin for the three other Riders in question. So I ask, should I go on with the "exclusive" version if I want the the complete experience with the three other Zecters, or is there some other way to go? I'm not actually balking at the exclusive one's price but if I could only spend about half that much it'd sure be nice. Thanks for any info, and pardon me if this was asked somewhere before and I just haven't seen it. |
The show is rather old (10 years now) so the toys are quite rare and expensive.
The only Perfect Zecter I could find is this one on Mandarake for 8000¥: http://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/d...68017&ref=list Looks like it's the standard release. I have never heard about or seen an exclusive version with the henshin devises. |

Oh, now I get it. This exclusive version contains the Zecters with metallic paint and the seller himself also throws in the Henshin Devices, they aren’t included in the set normally.
I don't know if it's worth it though... 350 bucks is a lot of cash. If you only want the Perfect Zecter I'd say go for a simple non-exclusive one. With the normal Zecters there’s always the chance that they re-release them somewhere done the line, I personally wouldn’t pay that much money for them. |
Okay, so the other henshin devices were only on show, not part of the set. In that case, there's no reason at all for me to go after the exclusive one.
I think I'll research the other Zecters individually though, if a Perfect set ~plus~ the other three including their henshin devices would cost even more, this might be a fair deal. Thanks for the help, Kiwami. |

Resurrecting my own thread from a while ago.
So along the lines I got myself the CSM versions of the Kabuto Belt and Zecter plus the CSM Hyper Zecter and had all the fun with them. However, as is the way of some KR toys, the Hyper Zecter's electronics apparently decided that being functional is a mug's game and started to glitch. By this point it's perfectly non-functional which makes me more than a bit sad/mad. Now following what someone (I forget who, it was definitely posted here though) once said, when my DX Decadriver started to glitch I opened it all the way up and cleaned some corrosion from a battery connection with a Dremel (and a tapered grinding bit), dusted out some odd grains of particulate, and since it's gone back to working pretty well. Does anyone know of any such fixes for other toys? I tried doing some YouTube searches but didn't find anything substantial. I'd really like to think a ~$125 toy isn't permanently dead after just, like, two months of ownership. |
