I actually bought one of those crystal Gokaioh sets as a gift for the best man at my wedding. He's a Minipla nut so needless to say I haven't seen him this happy since he got that lucky draw Daibouken minipla.
|
I like painting my minipla, that's the only reason why I haven't gotten the clear one yet.
|
Not the best photos I've taken, but hopefully these will do :)

Can the Gokai Machine kits be combined with the original Gokaiger kit?
|
Yes, the only different between the original kit and the starburst/clear version is that the marine, racer and jet are moulded in white, green and blue (rather than in black) and they they include a much larger cannon and cannon ball parts for the limb slots. The moulds themselves are identical.
|
Hmmm. I asked one of the middlemen here to pick me up the original kit from Yahoo Japan, because it appears to be quite cheap. I would prefer the white/green/blue plastic rather than the black, but as far as I found it was significantly more expensive.
but oh well. |
Just finished Go-Buster Ace, although I'm waiting on some metallic paint for the car windshield.
http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/x...y/DSCN5016.jpg I haven't really played around with its transformations yet, but the bot mode looks pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of the feet though. |
HOw is he compared to Gokaioh?
|
Quality wise its just as good but sizewise obviously a lot smaller - about the same size as minipla Furaimaru/RPM Microzords. Still need to have a proper fiddle with the car and cheetah modes.
|
Why have I only just found out about this thread?.
I've got a fairly large collection of Minipla including Engineoh G12. I'm now waiting for the Go-buster Oh minipla. |
^I want your avatar in sd gunpla form, that would be so kickass
|
^ Yes it would indeed.

Yep, they're due out sometime in April.
|
Will the three pack of Gobuster-Oh be released at the same time as the individual Buster machines or will I have to wait a bit longer?.
|
I'm not sure what you mean by 3-pack, but the GobusterOh case assortment will be Ace, GT-02 and RH-03 (2 boxes for Ace and GT-02, one for RH-03). If you're buying them off eBay, sellers are more likely to be selling them as a set than individually.

Having now transformed him a few times, I can honestly say I'm in love with this figure. The legs require taking off to get Ace into car mode, but that's all the parts swapping required and the rest is mostly cool flip-down panels. Really looking forward to the other two now :)
Some quick pics http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/x...y/DSCN5018.jpg http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/x...y/DSCN5020.jpg http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/x...y/DSCN5021.jpg |
Looks pretty great, I'm glad I ordered it yesterday (assuming I ordered the right thing, it was two separate kits that combine to make the one bot, right?).
Also, I assume it combines with the other two mechs to make GobusterOh, correct? |
Yeah its two kits, one box is the torso and the other the legs.
And yes, they will be able to combine :D http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/8829/orderl.jpg |
Thank you again for the pics.
|
Awesome, I wants. Granted, I don't have any yet, but this seems like a great (possibly even better) alternative to the DX toys, given the prices and functionality of the toys.
I could really use somebody hooking me up with the Gokaioh kits, preferably the second and/or clear release (hint, hint). |

^So your that guy on youtube. Man, I have the utmost respect for what you have made. Your stopmotions are not only flawless but spectaular to watch. Subbing now before I forget. |

Damn, that Go-Buster Ace looks sweet. Better check my hobby shop if they have it in stock. |
As someone with zero experience painting anything this small, I don't think my attempts at painting tiny Nick went too badly at all

You did a real good job with him mate and Ace overall for that matter. I keep meaning to take pictures of mine... might get to it eventually =p

Somebody save me from my obsessions.
I just ordered what I am led to believe is all of the Shinkenger zords on Mandarake. http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-862776.html http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-862777.html And I'm still waiting for these to arrive. http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-739943.html http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-804799.html If these ever arrive I'm going to have to buy some new paint. |
All but the Ushi origami by the looks of it, nice haul though! You'll have to let me know how the Ebi and Ika origami are, I've been considering those since there isn't an SRC of Shinken Gold's mecha.
|
What's an Ushi origami? (I've only seen one episode of Shinkenger, just the other day, and it was pretty good)

Eh, no worries. I'm sure if I was actually familiar with the show I'd know what you were talking about. Am I to assume though that said Origami has been released in minipla form?
|
Yeah, it was the last one to be released probably since its the "final" mecha in the show. That being the one you're missing at the moment works out pretty well since the 10 you've got can combine without it.
|
Yee hah! The gadget memories and GokaiMachines arrived tonight. Also, I bought a set of paint markers at Walmart tonight to see if I can spruce up the kits.

That minipla Nick looks great. May have to do the same.
Also, does anyone need a minipla Gobusters morphing brace? |
