Did Beetleborgs have kick ass toys?
I remember liking the designs but forgetting about the show. I distinctly remember my 1st impression of the toys since they were at the 1st Target store in my area, and the toys were there during the grand opening.
Were any of them fully articulated? I remember copious amounts of chrome. Wonder if the Japanese version of the show kicked ass. |
Funnily enough, I dug the few I had out of the attic in the summer. Not a great pic but I guess the flash shows off the level of chrome :p (ignore Masked Rider)

hey i have that masked rider LOL bike too, though he is missing his antenne and acrobatter there is missing a handlebar
i had the gold beetle mecha from the second season, it was awesome |
That reminds me, I have the gold one somewhere! Its the rubbish flip-change version though.
|
I don't think they ever released any mech for BBBB did they?
|
They got released, but I'm not sure how widespread it was. Especially the Metallix stuff, that was hard enough to find here as it was.

That was around the time Saban, again, ran out of footage to use. They introduced the "Alien Beetleboargs" or whatever they were called, and the whole thing just got too confusing to follow.
Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers - Alien Rangers - Zeo Rangers - Turbo Rangers - Power Rangers In Space made sense and was all in continuity. Beetleborgs was kind of like "Uh....quick, new costumes! New actress for the chick! New villains without explaining the old villains being defeated! And ... uh ... FLABBER!" |
