What Gaia Memory defines you?
After watching the first Eternal film, which involves the Memories actively seeking out those with the strongest genetic connection to them, it got me thinking about this question and I thought it'd be a fun little thread.
Personally - for me - I think I'd say Clay Doll. Ignoring all the ridiculous revelations at the end of the show, at its core Clay Doll is a very weak memory but it's also one that allows the user to get up from anything. I think that suits me well, I'm not the most physically powerful of people but I will always be able to stand up again. And as such, I think me and Clay Doll are perfect for one another, even if I absolutely HATED that design :lol- and is for a girl... |
Honestly, speaking strickly about the memory and not the user? Skull. A dark memory that causes more harm than good, and is a burden to anyone it comes into contact with. A monument to abuse of power and inherant instability that takes someone strong to overcome, but itself is something completely undesirable and heralds suffering and misery.
A non-self-loathing choice would probably be Luna. Illusions, misdirection and a sense of freedom. If something moves out of reach, stretch out and grab it. It's all about creating something insubstancial, that is used for practical purposes. |

And yeah, speaking entirely of the memories without the users, just like in the movie. Which I recognise is easier said than done, being that a lot of Memories were fairly poorly defined. |
I'd say Luna. Mostly for the reasons Split Lip stated.

One of the whole deals with W is that a great many of the memories and their powers aren't explicitly defined or of either dark or light persuasion until they're used. Though some are fairly straightforward. (Trigger is just... you got a gun now. A really powerful gun, but yeah no surprises, it's a gun. Point and shoot you passed the test)
Hell, if you really wanted to get exploritory and see past intended uses, you could say Trigger sort of ebodies a harsh "practicality." Much like guns themselves, which are ultimately tools designed to do one thing and do it well and quickly, Trigger is a quick, efficient solution. It's not about doing things a certain, delicate way, it's about doing them one way, and doing it quickly. Indeed the Trigger dopant was a very calm, efficient, no-nonsense person. Solving things practically and quickly. Such exploration could be applied to many memories. |
Yesterday. Because that's where my mind is, with or without my permission.

Accel. Don't ask me why.
